Or tables!!! He’s a strong and very helpful rulebreaker!!! If he drinks it’s not much, and probably just while playing Quidpong. His tolerance is so low, he is a little baby lightweight. … he’s a large baby lightweight.
Best Friends: CHICKABROS!!!!!!! BABY BIRDS IN GENERAL!!!!! He probably considers Micah, Lucas, Zach and Essie to be his best best friends, but you're ALL top notch in his book ok.

Out-of-School Social Circles: The MACUSA gala was the first time Jeffy ever joined the MACUSA gang, because the son of the bodyguard is not usually invited to press events. He just got dragged along to be unsupervised. Because Jeffy is never supervised. But he might hang out with other people who live in the New York area? He just wants to play sports, who wants to play sports with him????

Ariadne Flint
House & Year: Ebonhide junior
Hometown: Wolferton, Norfolk, England.
School History: Ariadne started at Gooseberry last year, as a sophomore. She is a Hogwarts exchange student and was a Slytherin there. At Hogwarts, she had a reputation for being a bully and tormented many of her classmates.
Class Involvement: Ari won't volunteer to answer questions in class unless she knows she's right, and won't offer her opinions unless she thinks they're good ones. She hates being corrected or contradicted, and always feels like her classmates are making fun of her. Jade is in all of her classes besides literature, and she always sits by her. If she ever needs to pair up with someone and Jade's not available, she'll usually just mill around until someone else offers or there's no one else left.
Campus Presence: She's good at finding secluded places to sit down and read, and doesn't usually hang out in the high-traffic areas too much. She can be difficult to find unless you know where to look for her. Most of the time when she's hanging out in her cabin, she draws the curtains. She doesn't particularly like any of her roommates, and interacts with them as little as possible. Even though she's on the cheer squad, she's not particularly peppy. She's still a little new to the concept of "school dances" and "bonding activities", and often tries to appear like she's not enjoying herself even if she is.
Party Time: Ari goes to most Grotto parties, but she's not the life of the party by a long shot. She'll usually play kissing games or truth-or-dare, though she thinks beer pong is stupid. She never drinks or smokes, but does usually carry a solo cup around to make it look like she might be drinking. It wouldn't be hard to figure out she doesn't, but it'd also be easy to assume she does.
Best Friends: Jade Otterwell. Ari tags along almost everywhere Jade goes and is much more quiet and reserved when Jade isn't around.
Cliques:
- Kenzie's mean girls. Kenzie Prince, Ursula de Luca, Riley Stamper, Casey Patterson. She appreciates their senses of humor and is genuinely quite fond of them, although Riley intimidates her a little bit (which is funny, since Riley was one of the girls her Hogwarts clique bullied.)
- Juniors. In sophomore year Ari somehow got involved in a lot of the class-wide ghost hunting antics, and nothing brings people closer together than almost dying. She'd consider Calvin, Micah, Essie, and Zach all to be friends of hers.
Out-of-School Social Circles: She actively socialized with the pureblood kids at Hogwarts, although her family was not particularly well-known in the community.The Not Friends: Many, many people annoy her.
Sexuality: Ostensibly heterosexual, but frigid. She's not receptive to flirting but kisses boys at parties sometimes. She actually likes girls, but isn't out to anybody and endeavours to hide it.
Dating History: None at Gooseberry. She has a couple ex-boyfriends from Hogwarts.
Current Relationship Status: Single.

- A British exchange student, Ariadne is a member of one of the pureblooded families who were loyal to Voldemort in the Wars.
- Although she is not particularly friendly, she is very fond of animals and oftentimes will pick up and cuddle other people's familiars if they wander off.
- She's a big reader and often reads by the fire instead of socializing at parties. Observant onlookers might notice that she has a taste for muggle science fiction and fantasy (last year she read the entire A Song of Ice and Fire series in about three weeks).
- She almost flunked out of school last year and had to enlist the help of a handful of student tutors to scrape C's.
- She brings a ridiculously large amount of jewellery with her to school. She wears a lot of it, but keeps some in a lockbox. Last year, Kurt Wolfhart's niffler stole it all and she threw a very public fit about it.
Personal Stuff:- She's not actually a pureblood, and her mother was an illegitimate child.
- Her parents disowned her over the summer and she's now livng with her older brother, Nico.
- Her friends from Hogwarts don't talk to her anymore, but they were honestly kind of awful anyway.

Micah St. Clair
House & Year: Azurcrest Junior
Hometown: Revelstoke, Nevada. A wizarding town in the middle of the Great Basin Desert, with a population of less than 1000 and only achieving electricity/Internet access within the last 10 years. Micah is descended from one of the founders of the town, and is the last St. Clair of his generation, which is why he was given his family's heirloom wand.
School History: Started Gooseberry as a freshman. Was previously at Ilvermorny, as a Horned Serpent.
Class Involvement: Micah is an enthusiastic student who has a tendency to get distracted and talk to friends in class. Loves debates and classroom discussions. Definite annoying class clown tendencies, i.e. cracking jokes when called on, but he's just as likely to offer right answers or thoughtful opinions when you catch him in the right mindset. He'll happily pair up with anyone who's sitting closest to him, but is partial to the other Azurcrests in his year.
Campus Presence: Can be found wherever the people are; any gathering of junior classmates is guaranteed to attract Micah's attention. But he does occasionally seek out private time for his film projects, and in those times will be found either in his cabin, the Artificing shed, or the new computer lab.
Party Time: Micah's making it his goal for junior year to be the Grotto party organizer, so you'll find him at every party this year, fronting the bill for beer. (Although he doesn't have Morales money so... help a guy out, please.) Micah's dabbling in drinking and smoking, but for personal reasons, he doesn't much enjoy either; but he'll pretend to nurse a drink rather than appear to be a teetotaler.
Best Friends: Micah throws around the words "best friend" so much, it's almost meaningless. Ree and Cole are old friends, which makes them simultaneously close to Micah's heart because of history, and distant because Micah would like to pretend his past doesn't exist, thanks! He is particularly close to his chickabros (Jeffy, Lucas and Zach), and Hazel and Calvin (the two people around whom Micah's willing to pretend he has human emotions).
Cliques: Azurjuniors are his clique, but he also has a special fondness for the Coppertale girls. And Coppertale boys, honestly. Micah's type is people who are kind of mean to him, like Jade, Ari, Cash and Ramon.
Out-of-School Social Circles: Micah doesn't have any friends outside of school. There aren't a lot of kids his own age in Revelstoke, and he's the only one of them who went to Gooseberry, so he's grown apart from them.
The Not Friends: There are a few people he doesn't much like, but Micah pretends to be everyone's friend. It's easier.
Sexuality: Micah will hit on anything with a pulse. He adamantly claims "no labels," but he's been flirting with all genders since the beginning of freshman year. He slightly prefers boys to girls, although his type is usually "cuter" boys rather than more buff-looking guys.
Dating History: Starting in freshman year, he developed a massive stalker crush on Calvin Evercreech, and Calvin shot him down once and for all during winter break of sophomore year. Micah is "smooch buddies" with Hazel Keating, which is to say they flirt a lot publicly, make out in hallways, and confuse people into thinking they're dating. He started dating Spencer Sweet during the summer before junior year, his first "serious" relationship.
Current Relationship Status: Dating but very soon to be single. (He and Spencer are going to break up before the first Grotto party. It will definitely be Micah's fault.)
The Messy Bits: Micah's crushes tend to be very, very public because he can't stop himself from running his mouth about whom he has a crush on. People could easily know about the awkward particulars of his relationships with Calvin, Hazel, and Spencer. They'd also know that Micah repeatedly claimed a "HUGE crush" on Cash Holcomb last year, in addition to like... half the sophomores.

Solo
House & Year: Ebonhide Junior
Hometown: Roatán, Honduras. It's no maj and totally normal, super fishing heavy island.
School History:
- He started as a freshman!
- I never named the school he went to before this, but he went to a local non boarding maj school in Honduras. It was small and didn't have a house system.
- Point
Class Involvement:- Solo is a very diligent student. He's heavy on participation. He's happy to answer questions.
- Solo isn't a class clown and isn't prone to cracking jokes in class. He's not disruptive at all, usually.
- If he knows a subject extremely well, he tends to overshare during answering questions. Sometimes he gives the entire history of a famous wizard when the teacher only asked if anybody knew where they were born.
- Solo never skips class, he never fails to turn in his homework, he's never late. He's overall, a very good student who noticeably tries extremely hard, and in the class subject that he excels at, he noticeably excels at them, such as his music studies.
- Solo has noticeable friends, but he's also that kid in class that is happy to pair up with literally anybody.
Campus Presence:- Solo spends a lot of time in the music room. He's very immersed in music.
- His freshman year, he spent a lot of time in the library, trying to read every single book. He failed, but he made a valiant effort.
- He's also tried literally ever club and stayed in more than half of them.
Party Time:Best Friends: Solomon feels a lot for everybody. But the anonymous writer stuff has driven a wedge between him and a lot of people that he's not really ready to acknowledge yet. He's close to his roommates and Jeffy, and his quidditch team, and Sam. He feels closer to Issy too.
Cliques: Solomon doesn't believe in cliques.
Out-of-School Social Circles: Honduras as a ton of normal kids on it. Solo grew up in a tight knit kind of town where everybody was familiar. It wasn't a tiny kind of town where everybody knew everybody else's name, but the air to it was familiar for everybody. He always views that as home, and the people there as his people, even though he looks significantly different from most of them. In his area, he's befriend a lot of kids his age, but it's a distant kind of friendship, when he spends nearly the entire year in America.
The Not Friends: Solomon refuses to acknowledge this is even a thing. He's friends with everyone. And until recently, he was incapable of even acknowledging that certain aspects of his classmates annoyed him. He's coming around. Soon, he might be able to make some decisions about it. But even to this day, he considers Casper a friend, so he pretty much considers everybody a friend.
Sexuality: Straight, but this is gaysberry so does anybody here actually consider anybody straight?
Dating History: He's had one whole significant relationship while he's been here, and he's still having it.
Current Relationship Status: He's dating Sam.
The Messy Bits: Nope. I mean yeah, it'd be obvious if Solo had a crush, but he doesn't have any messy crushes.

SCREAMSHometown: Moab, Utah for the last six years. Richmond, British Columbia prior to that.
School History:
- Started at Gooseberry as a Freshman.
- Attended St. Cyprian for 6th - 8th grade.
- Attended an unnamed no-maj school in Richmond on the weekdays and magic school on the weekends for Kindergarten - 5th grade.
Class Involvement: Essie loses focus very easily during lectures and is absolutely one of the kids who gets in trouble for whispering with friends and passing notes. Once lessons become more practical and hands-on, she becomes engaged and will happily ask questions and help other students out. For all her complaining, Essie would have to be REALLY tempted to skip a class. She will always pair up with Pippa in class if that's an option but will happily pair with anyone if it isn't. And OH YEAH, she's the Artificing TA!!!Campus Presence: Look for her wherever Pippa is. And shirtless boys are. And sophjuniors are. She has RADAR. She also spends a lot of time in the Artificing Shed and the Quidditch Pitch (previously for Cheer, now for QUIDDITCH!!!). And she's in a buuuunch of clubs though she dropped a lot this year so she could focus more on her academics. You will NOT find her in the library unless she's dragging herself there via study group with Jade and Ari.
Party Time: Essie is a good baby bird who goes to all the Grotto parties unless she's SCARED about messages telling her NOT TO. Essie is pretty outspokenly NOT interested in drinking and smoking and used to tell her older brother he was DUMB whenever he was hungover. She does like playing Quidpong but she makes other people drink for her (or plays with Sprite).
Best Friends: Essie's absolutely bestest best friend in the world is Pippa. They are attached at the hip and Essie completely adores her. She also feels a tight connection with Jade, Ari, Jeffy, Lucas, Bash, and Calvin, but Essie won't really hesitate to confide in any girl in her year and making this list at all hurt me.
Cliques: JUNIORS!!!!! She flocks a lot with the babybirds when she isn't off with just Pippa.
Out-of-School Social Circles: Essie befriended some no-maj kids over the summer while working at (and getting fired from) a froyo shoppe, but otherwise... no.
The Not Friends: Essie DOES get irritated with people at times and can be a HUGE BRAT but she doesn't actually have it in her to seriously dislike someone.
Sexuality: Would be thrilled with a subscription to Tiger Beat. Is thrilled whenever Casey Patterson takes off his shirt.
Dating History: AHAHAHA. Oh boy. Nope. Since we're being thorough, I'll mention that she did go to prom last year with Iliya Krum but was super nervous and spent the night introducing him to all of her classmates and running around playing Clue.
Current Relationship Status: Single. I... can't. She's not allowed. She is my sweet dumb innocent adventurer daughter.

- Uhhhhh she has two moms??? And their house is more than "pretty big".

- She thinks it's hilarious to throw books off the Azurcrest cliff and watch them fly back and she really needs to stop doing that, young lady. (Very good at judging what is over 5 pounds, but sometimes there are mistakes!!!)

Name: CASEY Patterson
House & Year: Coppertale SENIOR
Hometown: New Beacon Hill, a hidden magical community in Seattle, WA. It's upper-middle class and that's all I've got bc I wasn't the one that made it up.
School History: Casey began at Gooseberry in freshman year. He was at Lake Union Preparatory before, a day school in Seattle.
Class Involvement:
- He has a history of being disruptive, particularly in classes that are heavy on reading and listening. He'll pass notes to his friends and chuck small things at the backs of people's heads, while also pretending he never did anything of the sort.
- He used to skip more than he does now. His favourite partners are his friiiends, particularly Riley Stamper and Cameron Carney.
- Classes that involve more working with your hands (ex. Artificing, Magical Rudiments) see a more mellow and attentive Casey, one less bent on getting attention by being annoying.
Campus Presence:- Casey haunted the library a lot more in sophomore and junior year than he will this year, because he constantly pestered his
- DANCE STUDIO DANCE STUDIO DANCE STUDIO! He was already there all the time, but now that he has The Extra Key, he's going to be there even more! Can be found working on his own projects and Coppersquad Cheer routines. Is always excited to help someone learn a specific move, or to help them work through a challenging choreography puzzle. He calms down a lot when teaching. (He's also always down for collaborations!)
- Besides that, he might be in the atrium, or goofing off outside. You'll hear him before you see him.
- & I ALMOST FORGOT THE WEIGHT ROOM. He didn't get J A C K E D by sitting on his ass, tyvm. He and Riley like to flex in the mirrors to admire themselves.
Party Time:friend and mentortutor, Cricket Quayle, who has since graduated.Best Friends:
- KEY BESTIES = THE SMOOCH SQUAD: Riley Stamper and Cameron Carney. (Named during the Mistletoe Crisis of 2013.)
- Last year he had a BEST BRO, a Ravenclaw exchange named Jacob Wood that had been sorted into his cabin. Jacob did not return this year and Casey's looking to fill this spot. Auditions will be held with no warning to those who have not been notified that they are candidates. Current shortlist: Ulysses Quayle (because he's the brother of Cricket), Lachlan Galbraith (because he was a roomie of Jay back in Hogwarts and is Scottish, like Jay), and Phineas Bones (as the new exchange in the Senior Coppertools' cabin).
Cliques:- Kenzie's Mean Girls: Mackenzie Prince, Ursula de Luca, Riley Stamper, Ariadne Flint, Jade Otterwell, Charlotte Meer. Casey's drifting away from their meaner antics of yore, however, because that kind of behaviour makes him feel more bad than good nowadays.
- Groove Committee/Dance Babies: As a denizen of the dance studio, Casey spends a lot of time with other dancers. He also teaches morning barre classes to those who are willing to learn. (TY to Alex for "Groove Committee.")
- Dungeons & Dragons: While Ennis is the only returning member of last year's D&D campaign (the rest were seniors), it's going to take Casey no time at all to act like a Super Chum to all the members of this year's party.
- Coppertale Cheer Squad: HIS CHEER BABIES. CASEY LOVES YOU ALL. He's SO PROTECTIVE of his Cheer Squad, it isn't even funny.
Out-of-School Social Circles:- Casey's parents own a company that makes bespoke brooms for professional Quodpot players — he may know the children of certain players if there was an endorsement deal?
- He doesn't keep in touch with his Seattle friends much anymore because they make him meaner and he doesn't like that. :(
The Not Friends: HAZEL KEATING IS THE WORST. (She was the de facto little sister & protégé of last year's Cheer captain and the two were bitter rivals. They constantly try to one-up each other any way they can, even if they're making out. Both always seem to think they won. It's weird.)A NOTE ON NAMING CONVENTIONS: Casey gives people nicknames a lot. These are usually a short version of the person's surname, pluralized. Sylvester Stoker is "Stokes," Hazel Keating is "Keats." Obviously this doesn't always work out (ex. Cricket Quayle was "Cricks"), but he tries. Too hard.
Sexuality: The most enthusiastic pansexual teen you've ever met. He's as out as out can be and encourages others to explore beyond their comfort zone and challenge traditional gender norms.
Dating History:
- Tried to date once or twice as a freshman before he decided dating wasn't for him. The only named ex atm is Riley Stamper — he was the last dude she tried dating before she understood she's gay af.
- He and HEAD GIRL Antonia Papadakis used to hook up and now she acts like she's not interested in him and he's like ????? confused?!
- OH ALSO Tswift is his soulmate
Current Relationship Status: Hasn't been monogamous or in a traditional relationship since freshman year. He'll make out with pretty much anybody because he loves to do soand thinks it's all he has to offer. He has regular hook-ups (apply within!!!)The Messy Bits:
Common Knowledge:
- In freshman year he (1) tried to assert his dominance over his peers and (2) was a mean, although not bright, bully. He was unsuccessful. He has not actively/intentionally bullied anybody since freshman year.
- Vain af, Casey takes his shirt off as much as humanly possible. He's lost Coppertale a lot of points for this. He's also extremely promiscuous.
- He's fairly well-versed (in a manner of speaking) in topics of social justice — namely sexuality and gender. He's done a surprising amount of reading and does not hesitate to pull out the "bro check your privilege" card if he thinks someone is perpetuating harmful stereotypes. He doesn't always do a good job of it, and sometimes parrots what he's heard others say about it, but his heart is in the right place.
Personal Stuff: (Note that, because Casey wears his heart on his sleeve, this may not be as personal as he thinks. hmu if you ever want your character to take advantage of something here.)[Example. While this occurred in an Anonymous post, he writes in a specific way that makes him easy to spot and didn't try to hide his identity.]

- Plays at being this big, buff dude but he's actually quite a softie.
- Doesn't think he's smart and that's a sore spot — make a comment or joke about his lack of intelligence and he'll fight you so much.
- While he hasn't been a super loyal friend to most in the past (Jacob Wood and Cricket Quayle were the only two exceptions), this year he's become much more protective of people he thinks he's close to. This includes the Coppersquad, his D&D party, his roommates, the Mean Girls, dance babies who attend barre, his sister Marie, and Natalie Prince (as his sister's BFF). Expect attempts to defend any of these people to be... misguided.
The Secrets:Rumors: uhhhhhhh I don't think there's anything, tbh. People kept saying he kissed his bff Jay last year but he DIDN'T and he's really annoyed that people kept saying that because Jay had a boyfriend and was never into Casey and Casey would never force himself on somebody. :( STFU, PEOPLE.

Hometown: Tacoma, WA. I love Tacoma, so don't think I'm dragging it, but the neighborhood Zach grew up in is nnnnot great. It's a small, wizard-heavy bubble of the city, but Tacoma isn't really a magical town in itself, so if you want, like, cool sports or hot ticket magical items, you've got to drive to Seattle. A lot of the folks Zach knows are unemployed or working in sort of dead-end jobs, and while his 'hood isn't so shitty as to be notationally notorious or anything, students from the Sea-Tac area might know it has a mild reputation for going nowhere.
School History:
- Zach went to East School, which is a public school that mostly serves rural central WA. How did he get zoned out there instead of sent to a nice school in Seattle? It's a mystery. :|a Anyway, it sucked.
- He came to Gooseberry as a freshman on scholarship. His old teacher made some calls on his behalf.
- When he first got to GBHS, he was really behind and overwhelmed, but thankfully, he thrived in this more supportive environment and by the end of his first year, he was pretty much caught up.

Hometown: Three Willows, CT, is a small, magically-concealed wizarding community full of pureblood blue bloods. Kurt's maternal side has a sprawling estate there and it's where he grew up, but since his parents' divorce when he was 14, has been splitting his time between Three Willows and his father's condo in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, NYC.
School History: Was a Pukwudgie at Ilvermorny before entering Gooseberry in freshman year. His early schooling was at a school that I never named, but I'm sure was prestigious.
Class Involvement:
- NEVER DISRUPTIVE!! Enthusiastic participant in Magizoology, where he helps others just as much as he asks questions (and he asks so many questions).
- It's only toward the end of last year that he's become confident enough to ask more questions in other classes and participate in discussions.

- Calvin is all business in class. He prizes his academic excellence, even if his study methods focus more on achieving A's than learning. He's quick to answer questions and gets short and snippy with people who derail class. If he dislikes you, he's mean about it.

It's known for having a very credible and talented staff, but because they mainly cater to the elite rich, it's very hard to get into without the right connections. The locals tend to go home at the end of the day, but boarding is available to anyone.) until her freshman year at Gooseberry.
Class Involvement: Sofia tries to pay attention when it's not boring, but she's not particularly a handful or anything. She'll talk/whisper, pass notes, whatever, but she's not really loud or disruptive.

- Prior to Gooseberry, Bash attended a specialized public mixed-magic academy. (Which should probably have a better name than that, but here we are anyway.) The school was attended by both magical and non-magical students - particularly Squibs - and
Class Involvement:torturedhelped children to get a well-rounded education with both strictly magical subjects and fucking calculus. They also allowed in no-maj siblings of magical children until the 5th grade, at which point they could be reliably capable of not spilling magical beans.- "Are they talkative?" HAHAHA. Um. Yes. - Bash is well behaved. He loves class. And learning. He just - he finds it really hard to sit completely still and to maybe not ask distracting questions or doodle very elaborate flowers in the margins of his notebooks or maybe let his potions explode sometimes? Whoops.

Class Involvement: Reid's not a good student. He has poor language skills and reading comprehension, which means... studying's hard. Tests are hard. Essays are hard. He's a challenge to teach and gets frustrated easily, but when he wants to be he's focused and determined. He's quiet in class, and doesn't ask questions even when he wants to. His attendance could be better.
Campus Presence: Without Zav around, he's either shadowing a Stoker or sleeping on a roof. Reid sleeps a loooooot. Now that he's a prefect, he might sleep in more accessible locations.

House & Year: Ebonhide Senior
Hometown: Gold Gulch, CA. It's a magic enclave in northern California, but it's very small and isolationist. It was at one time a nomaj mining town during the gold rush, but was eventually abandoned and is now considered by nomajs to be a ghost town. Their primary claim to fame in the wizarding world is their lumber mill, which is owned by Clem's family. It supplies magically cultivated redwood to wandmakers all over the world. Clem's cousin Hartson Bellamy (an Azurcrest freshman) is also from Gold Gulch.
School History: Before transferring to Gooseberry, Clem attended Ilvermorny and was a Wampus. She played on their Quidditch team as a seeker reserve in her second year and a first-string chaser in her third year. Before attending Ilvermorny, she went to the local magic school in Gold Gulch.
Class Involvement: She's a loudmouth in class and isn't worried about being wrong. She'll say whatever she thinks the answer to a question is, and isn't deterred by being told she was nowhere near correct. She's not intentionally a class clown but sometimes says things in earnest that are unintentionally hilarious because of how outlandishly wrong they are. She also thrives on attention, so she loves playing devil's advocate in arguments, and she's good at it. She tries to do well in school and keep her attendance record clean because she's here on scholarship and is acutely aware of that fact, but she's sometimes late to class.
Campus Presence: In the Lodge, she most frequently hangs out in the Atrium, oftentimes taking up a whole sofa by laying down on it. Otherwise, she's probably at the Quidditch pitch, in the weight room, or just dicking around with her friends somewhere outside. She and Veronica sometimes hang out by the docks after dark when they want to kvetch alone, but they do this less frequently after a super hilarious prank Sy played last year where he pretended he was going to murder them with a knife. She likes shooting the shit around campfires and you can oftentimes find her lurking around Ebonhide's firepit at night.
Party Time: She does attend Grotto parties! She has a bad habit of getting super trashed, especially if her friends are drinking too. She used to make out with people indiscriminately at Grotto parties but has stopped since she started dating Sy. Ebonhide has early-morning Saturday practices so she'll sometimes skip out on drinking if it's a Friday night, which she'll be a little more strict about now that she's captain.

The Messy Bits: Her relationship with Sy is... weird. They're really inept at flirting and do it in public a lot anyway, which makes them seem like idiots who have no idea how dating works ("Leo worries they're flirting and then sees what they're actually saying and is like lol nevermind" - Lyss). They are very competitive with each other, especially about Quidditch. If they didn't go to dances together they might be easy to mistake for very good frenemies instead of dating.
Clem also is very, very affection with Vee in a way that sometimes comes off as romantic rather than platonic.
Common Knowledge:
- Clem wants to be a professional Quidditch player and is very serious about the sport. She was the captain of the school team last year, and she was on the winning house team as well. She is not modest about how good at Quidditch she is, which can come off as braggy and annoying at times.
- Her father, Billy Decourt, was a star quodpot player from 1997-2006ish. He played for the Shreveport Shriekers, and they won the... Quodpot Superbowl?... whatever. They won the big prize twice while he was a first-string player for them.
- She was more or less raised by her grandparents. They're the ones who come for parent-teacher conferences and stuff for her.
- This is because her parents had her when they were 18. Clem's not really shy about any of this, so most people probably know.
- Her parents had another child last year, a son named Russell. Clem calls him Rusty and always has pictures to show curious parties.
- Clem and Ulysses fucking hate each other and they're the very first co-captains in Gooseberry history. The irony isn't lost on her.
- Clem also does not get along with her cousin, Hartson Bellamy, who is an Azurcrest freshman. She insists he's a huge bully, but to his friends he'll seem personable if a little entitled.
- Clem also kind of has a rep for being a jerk herself, and used to get in fistfights with people at Ilvermorny. She doesn't do that so much anymore, but she does sometimes threaten to beat people up (or, more frequently these days, have Sy beat them up for her.)

- She resents her parents for not raising her themselves, and is a little jealous of their decison to settle down and raise her brother in a way they didn't bother doing for her. She's very close with both her parents so she tries to keep a lid on this, but she vents about it sometimes.

- That said, Kenzie could stand to be quieter in class. She likes to try and make jokes in class and can derail lectures. Not all of her commentary is very nice. Some teachers might find her clever, most probably think she's annoying.

Hometown: NYC. He lives in a magically expanded brownstone in the Upper East Side with the rest of his family and a few other wizarding families. It looks like one house from the front but is the size of 6ish large apartments inside and it's been occupied by wizard families for many decades.
School History: He started attending Gooseberry as a freshman. Before that, he went to Covenstead, an elite magic dayschool in New York. It's mostly attended by children of MACUSA employees.
Class Involvement: Reece is... easily distractable. He's very bad at focusing on class and is frequently told off by his teachers for zoning out. He has a bad habit of sketching new inventions instead of taking notes, and when he does take notes they're a total disaster zone. He probably has to borrow Rosy's notes any time he has to study for a test. Despite that, he's very intelligent and can skate by on natural talent a lot of the time, so he does pretty well in school. When pairing up for groupwork he'll seek out anyone who looks lonely or unsure about who they're going to pair up with, because he doesn't like anyone feeling left out.
Campus Presence: He's always in the cafeteria when meals are being served, even if he only takes fifteen minutes to eat. You can usually catch him furiously trying to finish his homework, or occasionally tinkering with his little toys and gadgets if he's actually caught up on his work. He likes to make himself available to his classmates, because he takes his job as a prefect very seriously. He'll invite anyone to sit at his table, and can sometimes be spotted sitting with freshmen. He makes a point of being very involved with the freshmen and is regularly appalled when his classmates don't know their names. What the heckie, guys.
Party Time: He's always at Grotto parties, and will continue to be even though he HATES that you're all still doing them after last year. But he never drinks or smokes or participates in the partying at all. He's here as a chaperone only.
Best Friends: He actually doesn't really have a best-best friend to speak of. He spent his first two years at Gooseberry primarily interacting with his older sister's friends, and he's a little introverted, so he never clicked with a bestie and was close with a lot of older students who have all graduated now. Ferdie and his roommates are his go-to friends now that the class of '14 Azurcrests have graduated.

They were Prom Queen and King, and they got married last year in a super ostentatious ceremony. Cristiane and Ricardo are both aspiring actors and have already gained some clout in their careers. Cris mostly acts in Mexican wizarding movies and stage plays, since she lives down there and the Ramirezes are well-connected in Mexico City, despite the fact that she was raised in the US.
- He's very involved in LARP. Cris was a co-founder of LARP, and Reece has been participating since his freshman year. He used to play a dwarf fighter, but spent all of last year trying to get that character killed off so he could play a new one.
- He's a prefect! He's actually now the seniormost prefect in Azurcrest, since Kenzie is new this year. He takes this role very, very seriously and he's going to do his best to be the very best Bird Mama to his baby birds this year.
- While he is a little shy, he's very sweet and good-natured. He can't stand his classmates being sad, and will go out of his way to cheer them up however he can.
- He makes little magical toys as a hobby. His most well-known project were a bunch of little clockwork insects. They escaped their desk draw prison last year and he had to enlist the help of his classmates to catch them.

- While onlookers could have probably figured out the sophomore year crush on Roxie, he told his roommates all about it on the regular to ask for advice. So they're very up to date on that sitaution. (Funnily enough, he neglected to tell them when they started dating for several weeks.)

Hometown: Jade doesn't really have a hometown. Her father is from a wizard community in Vancouver, and her mother's side of the family has had the same estate in Guatemala for centuries. Jade's never really felt that she is "from" either of those places, and has travelled around most of her life.
School History:
- Jade went to a total of she honestly couldn't tell you wizarding International academies, designed largely for children of diplomats and other travelling occupations. She was suspended from at least two of these.
- She started Gooseberry as a freshman!
Class Involvement:- When she wants to show off or is into the subject outright, Jade's a teacher's pet who answers every question with eager wit.
- Of course, she also gets VERY distracted when there's other social engagements to attend to, and her being scolded for chatting with other students during class is...possibly way too common
- When she's in a group demonstration of any kind, she puts herself in charge of leading it, and it's always about 50% more dramatic than it has to be. She squeezed a tragic love story between bulbotuber pus and leather gloves into a safety presentation in Herbology one time.
Campus Presence:- She's often by the stage, even when there isn't a production going on. She likes to remind Ms. Acuna and Ms. Thrussell that she exists. Like they'd had a chance to forget.
- Otherwise, she goes around just about everywhere. Look for her in the nest of baby blue birds, or around the mean girls, or just leading Ari into another bad idea.
- She's a fixture in Duelling/Fencing, for better or worse, and does a lot of duelling practice by herself or with partners, as needed. This pursuit also takes her to the library, sometimes, to research

School History: Started at Gooseberry as a freshman. Before that he attended a very small local day school.
Class Involvement:
- Archie is destructive. He often goes off lesson in hands-on classes because he wants to see what'll happen if he goes off course, so he's the source of many classroom accidents. He's very hard to discipline and if the teacher takes their eye off him for even a minute, who knows what'll happen.
- His grades are all over the place, but they're more likely to be bad than good. He's clever, but unfocused and selfishly motivated.

- He's a little creepy. While it might not be immediately apparent that he's weird about his crushes, he's an odd kid, and gets kind of obsessed with people who are nice to him.
- His father is regarded as a genius in the potioneering and healing communities at large.
- He's a precocious troublemaker who doesn't listen to rules, but is generally harmless.
- Oh, yeah, and he's the mastermind behind the Amortentia incident. Archie's senior project involves trying to alter the Amortentia formula, and he needed a larger study group. That wasn't what was supposed to happen, but it did. Oh well.
