Just like the Meddler's Almanac, but more up to date and with some boring stuff in there, too!

Name: House & Year: Hometown: Where your character is from. If this is a wizarding town or neighborhood which you made up for this game, feel free to include some information that other students would probably know about their hometown. School History: What year did they start at Gooseberry? Where did they go to school before? What was their Ilvermorny/Hogwarts/etc house? Class Involvement: How do they behave in their classes? Cole Moss

Name: Cole Arman Moss
House & Year: Ribbonfin Junior
Hometown: Richmond, Virginia. Cole grew up in a wizard-only neighborhood on the outskirts of the city known as Adastra.

School History:

• Before coming to Gooseberry, Cole attended Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. He was sorted as a Horned Serpent.
• Cole started at Gooseberry as a freshman.

Class Involvement:

• During class, Cole rarely seems to be paying attention and he isn't an active participant unless he has to be. Instead, he lets his mind wander and he draws and he dozes. Despite this, he always knows what he needs to know and he's always able to do what he needs to do. His grades are near the top in all of his subjects. It's probably kind of infuriating. At least he's not disruptive?
• Cole occasionally skips class but he typically does this on accident. Either because he's asleep or because he's caught up in an art project and doesn't realize what time it is. This happens far less frequently now that he's closer with Calvin, though.
• When it comes to groupwork, Cole would be happiest working with Calvin, Micah, Ana, or Hazel. There aren't many people he'd be particularly unhappy with, though. He tends to do what he's told in group situations.

Campus Presence:

• It's difficult to pin down where Cole will be on campus any given time. While he spends a lot of time in the Aesthetic Magic classroom or the theatre or his cabin, working on various projects, he also likes to wander and people watch to find subjects for his sketches. He could turn up anywhere. He's also started spending more time in the studio because of a deepening interest in dance.
• Cole doesn't have a competitive bone in his body and he doesn't have much school spirit either. While he attends the Quidditch matches to support his friends, he isn't very good at cheering for anyone and he's notoriously bad at yelling. What is an outside voice?
• Cole has only ever been in one club, the Drama Club, which he was recruited into through Aesthetic Magic. He has no interest in being on stage but enjoys being a member of the crew and took the lead with costumes/makeup/hair during both of the big shows last year. This year, though, he and Pippa started the Crafting Club and he's the president! He's not sure he'll be a good one but he wants the group to work and will try to be.

Party Time:

• Sometimes Cole attends the Grotto parties, sometimes he doesn't. It depends on his mood and whether or not his friends are going.
• After getting very drunk once during his sophomore year, Cole is a little less inclined to drink at parties, though he'll still drink some here and there. He also thinks beer tastes awful. While he's willing to try some drugs, he's more interested in doing so to see how it impacts his perception and his art than for recreational purposes.

Best Friends:

• Cole's closest friends are Calvin, Ennis, and Micah. These are the friends that know him, the friends that he'd trust with anything, and the friends that he would do anything for. While not part of his inner circle in quite the same way, Cole is also good friends with Ana, Hazel, and Ramon.
• During his sophomore year, he became closer to Pippa, Ree, Zach, and Jade and he'd like to get to know them better.
• Can Cole be friends with his owl? Because Cole is definitely friends with his owl. He adores Leonora.

Cliques:

• Cole's spends time with the members of the Drama Club and the Crafting Club just because he's an active participant in both. He tends to think of these students in kinder terms even if they're not friends just because he sees them more and they share a common interest. He has a similar dynamic with other dancers since he's been spending more time in the studio. He also looks to the more experienced dancers for guidance at times, especially Casey (because he leads barre and has the key and is essentially Rafael's heir) and Hazel (because she's Hazel).
• Nobody else, really. Cole can be a bit of a loner and he operates better one-on-one or in small groups. He especially doesn't get the '40 Best Friends' mentality proclaimed by some members of the junior class; he doesn't know most of them and most of them don't know him, so he doesn't understand why any of them say that. He's maybe being too literal about that.

Out-of-School Social Circles:

• None, really. Cole's usually pretty isolated when he's home, working on projects and spending time with his family.

The Not Friends:

• Cole is pretty certain that Todd and Cash don't like him and he tends to steer clear of them when he can.
• While Cole doesn't really know Sy, he doesn't like the Coppertale because of his history with Calvin. He basically told him that to his face.

Sexuality: Cole is bisexual and demisexual but he doesn't have the understanding necessary to put a name to this. He just knows that being physically attracted to anyone is relatively rare for him. He's likely perceived as bisexual or gay because of his relationship with Calvin but if he were asked to label himself he probably wouldn't have a good answer.
Dating History: Cole dated Calvin during the latter half of his sophomore year. The relationship ended abruptly because Calvin thought he wouldn't be coming back to Gooseberry for their junior year and decided it would be better to end things. Cole didn't take this well but has been working on getting back to 'just friends' ever since.
Current Relationship Status: Single and not certain what he wants.

The Messy Bits:

• Cole still has some lingering, confused feelings for Calvin because of their sudden breakup. While he's resolved himself to the fact that it's over and spent the summer putting it in the past, Calvin coming back to school after all will result in some uncertainty at times. Mostly, though, he's trying to stick to that 'moving on' plan so they can salvage their friendship. He'll be over the moon to see Calvin again, though, despite the confusion.
• After his confused infatuation with Coralee and his brief relationship with Calvin, Cole isn't entirely sure he's a good fit for relationships. He thinks it might be more than he's capable of managing.

Common Knowledge:

• Cole's father works for the MACUSA as an Obliviator and he's married to a much younger woman that's closer to Cole's age than his. His brother attended Ilvermorny and visited Gooseberry twice last year: once during the parent-teacher event and once when Ilvermorny played Gooseberry at Quidditch.
• Cole is naturally gifted (artistically, academically, and magically) but socially awkward and bad at understanding others. He's easily confused by figurative language, he rarely notices when he's being lied to, and he's almost always direct and honest.
• Cole draws pretty much everyone in his sketchbook without permission like a creeper. He's not trying to be invasive but he probably is. He once drew Calvin while he was asleep but has since agreed that this is probably not a good thing to do.
• He found out that he's allergic to daisies last year. WHOOPS.
• Cole dated and got dumped by Calivn last year. The two are still good friends despite this.
• Despite only learning to sew the summer before his sophomore year, Cole's quite adept at it. This and his eye for aesthetics earned him the role of designing the costumes/makeup/hair for both of the plays last year. He took this seriously and even designed custom charms for the performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream. He also helped a couple of his friends with suits and dresses for the various dances.

Personal Stuff:

• Cole's mother died from a lifelong illness when he was four and he barely remembers anything about her. His brother, Nate, has far clearer memories of their mother and this difference has resulted in some tension between the brothers because Cole just can't miss her like Nate does. It's also part of the reason that Cole is close to their stepmother and Nate wants nothing to do with her. This and Nate's attempts to protect Cole from everything are what prompted him to come to Gooseberry.
• After being dosed with Amortentia, Cole 'fell in love' with a former student (Coralee Wong). After the potion wore off, though, he missed the feelings he'd experienced for the first time and tried to convince himself that he still felt that way about her. He didn't and Coralee was more interested in wrapping him around her little finger than anything else. His friends helped him to understand that it hadn't ever been real but the whole thing is still very strange to think about.
• While he's put their relationship behind him, Cole still has feelings for Calvin that hit him from time to time.
• Cole is easily hurt by the suggestion that he's somehow deficient or broken because of the way he thinks and the difficulties he has in interacting with others. This was said to him on the Anonymous Post and it troubled him for weeks before he said anything about it and was reassured by Calvin. Still, it bothers him and comments like that cut him to the quick.

The Secrets:

• None. He eventually shares most things with someone.
