Kurt's maternal side has a sprawling estate there and it's where he grew up, but since his parents' divorce when he was 14, has been splitting his time between Three Willows and his father's condo in the Upper East Side of Manhattan, NYC.
School History: Was a Pukwudgie at Ilvermorny before entering Gooseberry in freshman year. His early schooling was at a school that I never named, but I'm sure was prestigious. Class Involvement:
NEVER DISRUPTIVE!! Enthusiastic participant in Magizoology, where he helps others just as much as he asks questions (and he asks so many questions).
It's only toward the end of last year that he's become confident enough to ask more questions in other classes and participate in discussions.
Prefers to work with close friends on projects, though this year he's going to try to work with more people.
Campus Presence:
THE. STABLES.All the time. He's a staple. Not only does he help Mr. Covington care for the horses, the stables are also where he does most of his homework, practises spellwork, and practises lines for Drama. (If he says he was in "the Kitchens," it means he was in the Stables. It's his way of trying to gross out Ursula less.)
The Magizoology classroom. He may not be the TA, but oh my goodness he's imprinted on Mrs. O'Hare like a duckling. Also here a lot because O'Hare lets him drop off his niffler familiar (Newt!) for daycare.
Otherwise, prefers to be outdoors, wandering the campus, working on assignments, bird-watching, looking for bugs.
Party Time:
Attendance has been sporadic. He did a couple last year and got drunk twice, but he doesn't like how it makes him feel. Doesn't dance, played kissing games once (kissing randos = no thank you).
Rarely ever drinks. Never smokes, etc.

MACUSA Kids: His father's a higher-up in the MACUSA Muggle Relations department and Kurt attends a lot of events with him.

The Not Friends: Nah. Kurt doesn't dislike people — he just likes some people less than he likes others.
Sexuality: I'd say "People probably think he's straight" but most people probably think he's celibate.
Dating History: His current girlfriend is his very first girlfriend.
Current Relationship Status: HE'S DATING CHLOE SHEPHERD AND HE LIKES HER A LOT. PDA makes him go bright red but at least holding hands with her was common even before they started to date. She likes to drag him off to make out in parts of the lodge and that makes him blush a lot, too. But he likes it, too, so it's OK.

Has a developmental stutter that presents pretty much all the time except when he's on stage and when he's interacting with animals. For years it's prevented him from wanting to speak up in class/etc., but he worked hard over the last year, and this year he's noticeably more vocal.
Historically suuuper timid and shy. Again, last year he worked on breaking through those walls (the New Kurt project!!!) and he made really good progress!!!

For instance, his grandparents pray that his dating a Muggleborn is a short-lived phase because they've already picked out four eligible Pureblood wife candidates to help get the Prince bloodline closer to "pure" once again. Nor do they want him to work with animals, or in the outdoors — vocations they see as being below "someone of his status." (He's pretty sure he has no status.)
Related to the above topic, his grandparents send him regular owls about eligible bachelorettes. It's embarrassing.
That he's been trying really hard to break out of his shell, but also that he worries a lot about how to do it and whether or not he's doing it "the right way." He asks close friends for advice about this. Constantly.

He came home from his August in the National Forest Youth Warden program with too-long hair and the worst """Beard""" in the world. His grandparents had expected this and already booked a barber's appointment for the next morning so he wouldn't return to school "looking like a rapscallion." he liked his beard a lot :(
