Character Almanac 2.0
Just like the Meddler's Almanac, but more up to date and with some boring stuff in there, too!
| Name: House & Year: Hometown: Where your character is from. If this is a wizarding town or neighborhood which you made up for this game, feel free to include some information that other students would probably know about their hometown. School History: What year did they start at Gooseberry? Where did they go to school before? What was their Ilvermorny/Hogwarts/etc house? Class Involvement: How do they behave in their classes? Are they talkative? Disruptive? How often do they skip? Do they have a favorite partner for groupwork? Campus Presence: Where on campus do they spend their downtime? Do they haunt the library? Are they big on school spirit? Have they tried every club at least once? Party Time: Do they regularly attend Grotto parties? Do they drink? Smoke? Provide the contraband, or freeload? Steal the aux and play their weird music? Best Friends: Your bestest buds in the whole world. Cliques: Other groups they tend to hang out with. Out-of-School Social Circles: Does your character have any old family friends? Parents who know each other? Do they keep in touch with their old school friends? (For example, the children of MACUSA reps hang out together at MACUSA events.) The Not Friends: Any ex-friends on the record? Messy friend break up, or did you just drift apart? Bitter rivals? Or even just people that annoy you a little bit? Sexuality: How would the student body at large perceive their sexuality? It doesn't have to match their actual sexuality. But if it doesn't, are they out to a few people? Nobody? Dating History: Significant past relationships? Current Relationship Status: Are they single? Dating? On the prowl? The Messy Bits: Would it be obvious to an observant meddler that your character has a crush on their bestie? Or has your character engaged in public flirting and/or fighting on the journals? Common Knowledge: Stuff absolutely anyone on the campus would probably know about your character. (For example, Clem's father is a retired quodpot player and she has a very young baby brother who was born last year.) Personal Stuff: Stuff close friends of your character would know about, but probably aren't common knowledge. (For example, Ariadne has been disowned by her parents.) The Secrets: Stuff only your character knows about themselves. Rumors: Anything untrue that might be circulating in the gossip mill? Put it here and it's fair game for other characters to speculate and elaborate on! Anything Else? Whatever else you want us to know! Sam
House & Year: Azurcrest Junior
Hometown: Queens, New York
School History: K-8, Sam went to Covenstead. She never did well there - well, maybe as a kid before she turned into a troubled pre-teen and a bitchy tween etc etc. She was later put into Gooseberry as punishment. She game to GB as a freshman, though. Jokes on them, she actually loves it at GB.
Class Involvement: Sophomore year Sam: Skipped a lot of classes, talkative, disruptive, didn't pay attention, etc etc. The clear I-Don't-Want-To-Be-Here-And-Will-Likely-Fail student each class inevitably has. However, last few weeks of Soph Year + Junior Year Sam will be much more dedicated, quiet, and will look forward to having a study partner this year.
Campus Presence: Sam is actually kind of big on school spirit. She hasn't tried every club once, but she's been in several and changed it up again for her third year at GB. She's someone you'll find just about anywhere on campus - walking around, talking to people, exploring, chatting, whatever. She doesn't like to sit and be in just one spot, she doesn't hide in her room or the library to study. She's kind of all over the place at GB.
Party Time: All of the above. Yes, she attends Grotto parties, she drinks, she smokes whatever is there. Hell, she's even done and provided drugs at the parties (pills). But she stopped doing that, at least providing it, and slowed down on how much she was consuming near the end of last year. This year, she'll probably struggle with her "newfound good girl" image and wanting to go back to her old ways of hardcore partying.
Best Friends: Solo. She now has a deep, deep love for Ana, Hazel, and Zach. Bash actually told Sam he wanted to be friends and that meant a lot to Sam, so Bash is on the list too.
Cliques: Usually it was Jade and Ari. Their love-hate mean-girl-frenemey relationship was natural and fun to Sam.
Out-of-School Social Circles: Reece Downing's mom works with Sam's mom very closely, so she knows him quite well. There's also the whole group of MACUSA kids that she knows from outside - particularly Ulysses, who she's known just about the longest aside from Reece.
The Not Friends: Jade and Ari can go here too. She loves them, but are they really friends? However, after all the shit at the end of last year - though she loves Solo and doesn't like Jade and Ari contributing to why he feels iced out by the rest of the former-Sophs - she does feel closer to Ari and the two have some more in common than she thought. So Jade and Ari are on here pretty tentatively. Ulysses can be added here too, because Sam is still bitter about the whole "Sam has a lot going on" thing he said to Solo.
Sexuality: It's probably no surprise to anyone that Sam doesn't give a shit about your gender. If you're hot and wanna kiss, she's down.
Dating History: None
Current Relationship Status: Dating Solomon Webb
The Messy Bits: Nothing messy going on here!
Common Knowledge: Everyone would know that Sam's mom is the NY Rep for MACUSA. They would also likely know about her ties to Reece given his mom's ties to her mom's. They probably all know she's a troublemaker and was failing her classes most of fresh and soph year. Probably common knowledge that she's taking Solo at this point?
Personal Stuff: Sam has dependency issues. She almost drowned last year in the lake because of a ghost. People who saw what she said on the journals may know this but probably not to the extent of how bad it was. Solo knows that she's extremely afraid of water now. She's actually smart, and can be nice - something mostly just Solo knows. The MACUSA kids may know about her dependency issues from MACUSA parties.
The Secrets: Sam was taken advantage of at a MACUSA party the summer before she went to GB.
Rumors: Oh gosh IDK but probably there's some stuff going around that isn't true. Or maybe is true??
