Last one for the road.

The comms will be closed tomorrow, July 31 at 11:59 PM MT. This means that no new posts will be allowed in gooseberryhigh or goose_ooc.

You will still be able to post comments and edit your existing posts. So if you have a log you're still working on, you can post a placeholder now, or you can find room for it in the Looking Back meme. If you want to do one last journal shitpost, you can do it now and people can keep tagging convos indefinitely.

All characters (in 2015) know that the magical journal system will be shut down on Aug 1. (Everyone in 2025 will just have to use their imaginations about the shitposts that are happening in the future.)

If you haven't already, we welcome you to join campers to keep in touch with everyone after the game ends. You can track the current chatter post and post whatever you want in the comm!!!!

Hello everyone! Here's details on how to handle the remaining three weeks of game: ( IC post-game details )

What does this mean for you?

Starting tomorrow, you can post journal entries/comments, IC/OOCs, letters, etc. like normal. It's summer vacation! PLOT HERE about your characters' activities for the past two weeks.

Although graduates can't post on the journals, they are allowed to show up in any summer IC/OOCs or to send mail to current characters.

Your mods are off-duty except for two posts we'll do sometime soon: the "Where Are They Now?" meme (for discussion of your characters' futures) and the 10 Year Reunion IC/OOC. All former students of Gooseberry will be invited to the reunion, regardless of when they attended.

Tue, Jul 31 will be the last day of the game. You will still be able to backtag for as long as you want, but no new posts will be allowed in either the IC or OOC comms as of Aug 1. Everything will stand as a record of the incredible love and work we've all put into this game for the past two years.

Hey everyone, we have a special announcement! Now that endgame has kicked off and is running smoothly, we've decided you can have four active participants. This means that if you'd like to bring it one more of your reserves as a strong mimic, you can!

Endgame starts on Sat, Jun 23! We still have a ton of prep work left on our to-do lists, so we're not 100% sure what time we'll start, but we're doing our best to make sure you'll have something to do on Saturday morning.

We have small metaplot events planned for tonight and for tomorrow, so keep an eye out!

If you want to participate, please make sure you SIGN UP your characters by the end of today.

Check out the planning spreadsheet if you haven't already! You don't need everything set in stone yet, but if you've got particular ideas you wanted to do, you should coordinate with the players you want to interact with.

Please complete your sacrifice memes for your participating characters by Friday night. At minimum you should do your rescuers. If you're stumped, just do the permissions and hard no's; anything else you can edit in later. @MARIN DO THIS FOR THE LOVE OF GOD

The house points tally for May/June will go up later today! Just as soon as Marin gets off work and figures out flavour text????

oh god how did the end of the month come so fast

Last day for the prom game! In about an hour, I will be adding a feature where you can steal another player's code for 10c! This has been highly experimental, but there's been a lot of really cute little scenes happening at prom so I hope it's been fun IF ODD.

Speaking of highly experimental, Meggie designed some Gooseberry merch but also put up an important message re: the choice of Threadless and other garment print services.

The petition event has been pushed back to May 31 since we really need the time to carefully review petitions and write this event. It was SUPPOSED to go on the full moon but let's just... pretend the full moon happens two days from now. Or maybe the full moon will end up not relevant at all WHO KNOWS THIS HAS BEEN A 2 YEAR IMPROV EXERCISE

June's plot calendar is going to be considerably scaled down since, again, we don't have enough free time. :( Currently the expected pcal post time will be Thu, May 31 at 10 AM MT, but might go a little later depending on our availability. ~~We'll try to nail down a set time tomorrow, so keep an eye on this post. OK I LIED WE DIDN'T NAIL DOWN A SET TIME but it'll be after 10 AM for sure. yolo~~

We are planning to get details about endgame out sometime in the next two weeks, so people can start plotting for it. That's our big priority right now, so mod events for June are going to be mostly repeats from last year so we can focus. But if players want to run some fun events in June, we'll have plenty of room!!

Re: Gooseberry v. Hogwarts Quidditch game, I believe we'll put up planning stuff for that in the pcal...? So that is coming soon!!!

I'm going to be moving the designs over to Spreadshirt (I'll set it up tonight) because they're more highly reviewed, and they still offer all kinds of miscellaneous stuff (including hats, backpacks, polo shirts and dog bandannas!). The only thing they don't have are zip puches, journals and lounge pants, so you might still want to nab those through Threadless if you really want them.

I'll make a list later on what you can get where, because I like how Threadless does bags better because they'll make them entirely in a custom color. :|a BUT ANYWAY THAT'S WHERE WE STAND.

That's right, friends, with only a little over a month of official game time left, we've decided it's time to suspend Activity Check. We're no longer going to remove characters who do not meet minimum activity. However, a few things still apply:

Applications close June 1, and we will not be accepting any holds or hold extensions after that date.

Anyone who would like to app a 4th, 5th, or 6th character, you may post the required activity on this post and we'll give you the green light.

Thanks for all your enthusiasm these past two years! We're now beginning our descent into endgame, so please ensure your tray tables are stored with your seats in the upright position.

Marin and Meggie are dealing with full-time job/full-time artist things so a few quick announcements:

Quidditch will be posted in 1-2 hours (depending on when co-workers free me from conference calls). It will be a very rough outline because we don't have time for that. That makes me a little sad because we did want a big send-off for our last games, but... you know. :( Hopefully still fun though!

Deadline for April house points is tomorrow, you can post HERE. Results for everyone currently posted will be rolled later today. Remind Marin to post her characters and maybe talk her out of nuking Azurcrest's points further sorry micah is bad.

The OE camping trip to Antelope Island is this Fri/Sat. You have until the end of Thursday to SIGN UP your campers.

Students go back to school Monday, April 2! This means that April Fool's Day and Easter (which are on the same day this year, April 1) will not be taking place at school. The Easter Egg Hunt will take place the following weekend, and Dyngus Day will happen the first day back to school.

Remember to post to March's Activity Check! Nag your friends if they haven't yet!

The mods are slowly working on a few reference posts which will go up next month. They will include topics like:
- What identifying spells/projects can my characters accomplish to control the mimic presence?
- What exactly is expected of prefects?
- What spells and potions are restricted like the Patronus Charm? (i.e. you need mod permission to say your character's mastered them)

Today is a no-kill day for the Hunger Games! Your mods are very tired and someone screwed up the dates in the pcal anyway (coughMarincough) so tributes, you can use today to plot and strategize, and we'll be back on track tomorrow!

March's Plot Calendar will be going up 8 AM MT on Feb 28!

Did you want to submit a petition for the Feb 28 petition event? You have until tomorrow Monday at 11:59 PM MT.

The winners of junior bonding are Lucas Kowalski, Sebastien Lacroix, Cole Moss and Max Pendergast! Each one receives a pair of magic mirrors that show what their twin should be reflecting. Images and sound will be transferred, and the mirrors up to a distance of 100 m.

It's that time! All Quidditch players and cheerleaders qualify for letterman jackets! (Cheerleaders are being recognized thanks to lobbying by Casey Patterson.) If your character ordered one, you can say they were handed out this morning.

And here's the dates for the upcoming ward failure event: on March 7/8, your characters' wards will qualify for failure. March 9 is when wards from March 7 to the present will actually break, and their contents revealed to all. March 10 is the Anonymous Post.
