Well! Cameron just reminded me I actually had some thoughts on how to determine if your character is a lettered player. Letterman jackets have: Their letter (EH, AC, CT, RF), their house symbol, the school crest, their name & the position they play (on the back), and the player's year of graduation. Jackets come in house colors, and are purchased by students. They run at around 300 dragots a piece.

To be a lettered player, your character must meet the following qualifications:

• Maintain a C average.


• Be on a Quidditch team.


• Participate in at least half of all games played that year.

They're awarded their letter upon meeting these requirements for the first time. That means reserves will not be lettered and players new to the team this year received their letter just recently.

Additional accomplishments may also gain them patches to add to their jacket. Examples would be:

• Being a captain.


• Being first string on the Gooseberry team.


• Being on a team that previously won the cup while they were a member.


• Excellence as awarded by Mr. Thorn.


• Maintaining a 4.0 GPA.


• Small medallions for clubs they've actively participated in for at least one year.


• Being a prefect or Head Boy/Girl.

APPARENTLY but it's inconsistent aside from Seeker is usually #7 so I'm making it up based on Marin's Quidditch roster order.

So if they received letterman jacket eligibility once can they get another one later when it doesn't fit anymore if they would no longer meet the requirements now or do the requirements reset each year?

The jacket itself is purchased by the student. If they outgrow it, they can remove the patches (which are awarded by the school) and put them on the new jacket. The patches are never taken away, since they're awarded for the accomplishment that year.

This is so much cooler than how mine was. We just got a little bar for each year we were on the team and qualified to letter (mine was in swim team) But I also got to put my state medals on it. No other cool stuff tho!

Oh wait a for reals questions: Could one student conceivably buy a letter jacket for another if said other student has lettered? Annnnd given that you said 'recently lettered' for kids new to the team, does that mean that their jackets just recently arrived if purchased or they just recently qualified and will get their jackets at some point in the future?
