END GAME PLOT PLANNING

PLEASE CLICK TO READ:
Y2 END GAME OVERVIEW

This document is pretty long, but given that we're hoping Y2 endgame will be much more player-driven, we need everyone to understand what your characters will be in for. So please read it over carefully!

You must sign up to participate in endgame, and tell us what role you want for your characters. You are allowed a maximum of 3 active roles in the beginning:
  • Rescuer: Active role. Characters who will be saving people and fighting mimics. Max 2.

  • Victim: Active role. Your character will be out of commission, but you can play their mimic. Max 2.

  • Reserve: Inactive role. Your character will be out of commission, and cannot be played at start. However, they may later be upgraded to a victim (i.e. mimic). No limit.

  • Non-participant: Inactive role. Your character will be gone from the setting, and will not participate at all. Make your character a non-participant if you know you won't be able to focus on them during endgame. No limit.

1. Please fill out one form for yourself as a player. Any characters who have not been assigned a role will be assumed to be a non-participant. You're allowed to change your mind between now and June 22. POST YOUR FORMS HERE.
Player Name:
Rescuer(s): List which of your characters you want as a rescuer.
Victim(s): List which of your characters you want as a victim.
Reserve(s): List which of your characters you want as a reserve.
Non-participant(s): List which of your characters you want as a non-participant.

2. Complete the sacrifice meme for your participating characters. At minimum, you should complete it for your rescuers before endgame starts. You may edit your sacrifice memes all throughout endgame.

3. Plot out your groups and rescues below. Decide what your characters are going to do and who your rescuers will be travelling with at the start. Note that you should anticipate that your group may be forced to split up during endgame.

just copied this from last year's, so anyone can change it however they want to. rescuers/rescuees aren't as direct a correlation as they were last year but i thought it might be useful to keep track of who might be trying to help whom anyway so i left it. left team names also because theyre cute?

If you guys need to squeeze, teams can possibly handle 6 people especially with people dying left and right :O so adjust the spreadsheet as needed if any of you opt for that

spreadsheet question!

[personal profile] novelling 2018-06-18 04:54 am (UTC)(link)
can the mimics harass multiple groups? and, if so, would "characters who are victims that this character feels attached to" maybe a more useful thing to list than a designated "rescuee", even if it means double-listing some victims?

I added a double asterisk for when someone has dibs on killing that mimic - I added a few but realized I didn't want to make assumptions soooo have at it everyone!

they coat the unicorn horn in his blood and are convinced that's what's helping them defeat the mimics

do you think we also need a way to denote "this mimic claims this person's murder" or are we going too hard here

I think we could?? But also it should be rarer so maybe doesn't need tracking??

i feel like the name of the spreadsheet implies the mimics are only faux horrible and are therefore actually much better than our kids
