The comms will be closed tomorrow, July 31 at 11:59 PM MT. This means that no new posts will be allowed in gooseberryhigh or goose_ooc.

You will still be able to post comments and edit your existing posts. So if you have a log you're still working on, you can post a placeholder now, or you can find room for it in the Looking Back meme. If you want to do one last journal shitpost, you can do it now and people can keep tagging convos indefinitely.

All characters (in 2015) know that the magical journal system will be shut down on Aug 1. (Everyone in 2025 will just have to use their imaginations about the shitposts that are happening in the future.)

If you haven't already, we welcome you to join campers to keep in touch with everyone after the game ends. You can track the current chatter post and post whatever you want in the comm!!!!

Hello everyone! Here's details on how to handle the remaining three weeks of game: ( IC post-game details )

What does this mean for you?

Starting tomorrow, you can post journal entries/comments, IC/OOCs, letters, etc. like normal. It's summer vacation! PLOT HERE about your characters' activities for the past two weeks.

Although graduates can't post on the journals, they are allowed to show up in any summer IC/OOCs or to send mail to current characters.

Your mods are off-duty except for two posts we'll do sometime soon: the "Where Are They Now?" meme (for discussion of your characters' futures) and the 10 Year Reunion IC/OOC. All former students of Gooseberry will be invited to the reunion, regardless of when they attended.

Tue, Jul 31 will be the last day of the game. You will still be able to backtag for as long as you want, but no new posts will be allowed in either the IC or OOC comms as of Aug 1. Everything will stand as a record of the incredible love and work we've all put into this game for the past two years.

Hi everyone! We've talked with our NPC mods, and we've decided to extend endgame through to Wednesday, with the finale probably going on Wednesday night or Thursday. We're likely going to be decreasing the number of sacrifice rounds so that people can traverse the map more quickly. We may end the sacrifice rounds entirely during the extension, so if you definitely want to get another shot at one, make sure you get to a sacrifice round by Sunday night.

But this is the point where we need to go into overdrive making sure everyone gets the experience they wanted. Fill out the form below, which will let us know the major story beats you want your characters to hit before we wrap everything up.

Character Name:
Death: Does this character need to die? How soon, and in what way?
Bare minimum: Please list 3 or fewer things you absolutely want to happen to your character before endgame ends. These can be rescuing a certain person, getting to kill a mimic, making a specific sacrifice, etc.
Other plans: List things you'd LIKE to happen to your character, but would be okay if there wasn't time for it, or if it didn't end up happening. This can include items like facing their own mimic or running into Grimshaw. (Note: I'm not taking requests for these random events, but if I know you're interested I'll keep my eyes on your group.)

Endgame starts on Sat, Jun 23! We still have a ton of prep work left on our to-do lists, so we're not 100% sure what time we'll start, but we're doing our best to make sure you'll have something to do on Saturday morning.

We have small metaplot events planned for tonight and for tomorrow, so keep an eye out!

If you want to participate, please make sure you SIGN UP your characters by the end of today.

Check out the planning spreadsheet if you haven't already! You don't need everything set in stone yet, but if you've got particular ideas you wanted to do, you should coordinate with the players you want to interact with.

Please complete your sacrifice memes for your participating characters by Friday night. At minimum you should do your rescuers. If you're stumped, just do the permissions and hard no's; anything else you can edit in later. @MARIN DO THIS FOR THE LOVE OF GOD

She's an Azurcrest sophomore, a History of Magic nerd, a gossip who is trying to be better -- she promises, and a very outgoing girl. Okay, the last part is a bit of an act, but you wouldn't know it from the way she behaves. ~~hello I noobie i have no idea what goes on here or how things work but i wanted to try this out.~~ My name is Shayla and I've been roleplaying in tegakie for 8 years before the website wend down and under and I stopped rp-ing ever since. Tegakie was a web-drawn roleplay, so it was more in line of collaborating comic panels than anything else. I've dabbled in forum rp-ing but I never lasted long because i get super embarrassed so here's to getting over it. I've not roleplay the magical journal aspect but it sounds new and exciting. Im bringing you Seth Picklesmire, he's a young dude that has never felt he's at all that interesting. He is Canadian-Puertorican and is fluent in both Spanish and English. He lived most of his childhood with his maternal family while his parents did doctor stuff. From his years studying among No-Majs, he's developed a love for video games. This carried over even after he moved away and was among other wizzards. He/his family currently lives in Florida.

His classes are: Charms, Potions, Hermeticism, History of Magic, Transfigurations, Artificing, Magical Rudiments, Aesthetic Magic.
