Team Gooseberry (and their supporters) leave in the morning for a three-day weekend at Scotland’s Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Because the guest wings at Hogwarts are under repair, Headmistress McGonagall agrees to sort the Gooseberry students and let them stay in their house dorms.

No form! Just tell us in as many words as you want why your senior deserves to be valedictorian or salutatorian. These prestigious titles will be awarded first and foremost to the students with the highest GPA, but extracurriculars contributions (prefect, TA, clubs, etc.) will also be weighed. Once the list has been whittled down to qualifying candidates, the positions will be decided with RNG.

I'm gonna say Wilde doesn't have an exact 4.0, but manages a GPA high enough for salutatorian!! He's taken full and challenging course loads since freshman year, has always been in multiple extracurriculars including house Quidditch and the school team, and started his own club (which will hopefully be handed off after he graduates).

This is written knowing that one of my kids got valedictorian last year, so, you know, don't spoil me if you don't want to. But let's talk about my girl Rosy. She has high grades! Actively enjoys studying! She puts her academics before her own health and her self-esteem is inextricably tied to her GPA! Can recite pi to the 150th decimal!!! She's also a prefect, shinny co-organizer, has glued a lot of googly eyes for Event Committee, probably like the loudest person at Quidditch games.

BUT, there would be a narrative element to if she made salutatorian instead of valedictorian, in that Rosy would have to buck the fuck up and be fucking proud of getting second place and not beat herself up over it. Which would be p sick.

Hello everyone! Due to severe time limitations for both Meggie and Marin, we decided to put out a stripped down pcal for our last month. We would like to release some special metaplot-related events throughout the month, but we'll just post those in the IC comm as they come up, so we don't overwhelm ourselves. So you don't miss anything, we recommend tracking the IC comm, i.e. "Someone posts a new entry to gooseberryhigh."

We encourage players to write their own events for June! You can see everything we have planned, which leaves plenty of room for player-run events. In particular, there's a few events from last June that could be adopted: Blue Jays Parting Party, Swimming Party (Rin, I think you took this?), Spring Concert (Jun 21), maaaybe a camping trip...?

Also, we hope to get details about endgame out in a week or two, so everyone can start planning for that.

I have... a lot.

Samuel Goyle, Slytherin 6th year. A smarter Gaston. Comes off as very charming and friendly but he's a bully and pretty cruel. Calvin's ex. They did not part amicably.
Edmund Evercreech, Slytherin 7th year, Calvin's older brother. Marin and I discussed that he was also Iliya's roommate. Ed and Calvin get along very poorly, and Ed's not super cool with Calvin's sexuality. This contributed to Iliya not wanting to be out at Hogwarts.
Nathaniel Evercreech, 4th year Gryffindor, a real scamp. It's cute for like an hour and then it gets annoying. He and Calvin fight a lot but it's notably less venomous than fights with Ed.
Rupert Evercreech, 3rd year Slytherin, accidentally the evil opposite of Rupert Wick. Plays a lot of questionable pranks and will probably want to befriend the Terror Trio.

Silvia Bickering, 6th year Grffindor, Ophelia's old roommate she accidentally fell in love with, and then cried over for a month after learning she got a boyfriend. That boyfriend was Noel.

Pride Party?

Would it be too weird if Basil tried to organize a pride party before everyone went off for the summer? The child may have grown up in an LGBT household, but he's never really gotten to celebrate not being straight himself.

This might be influenced by the fact I'm too chicken to actually go do pride things myself.
