CHARACTER INTRODUCTIONS & PLOTTING

Hello everyone, and welcome (back) to Gooseberry! We still have a couple weeks until the actual game opens, but we anticipate a lot of new characters joining us.

RULES

So the OOC comm isn't flooded with dozens of new introduction posts, please introduce your new characters here!

Remember to put your character's name in the subject line!

You can say as much or as little as you like. Consider hitting the basics like, house, classes, clubs and year, then describe their personality and interests briefly. Mention what kinds of storylines you want (friends, enemies, etc.) and get to plotting!

Then go around and reply to other peoples' introductions, establishing lines and relationships.

If you have some plot you'd like to talk to people about that involves a returning character, comment here explaining what you're planning!

Be courteous and limit yourself to only one medium/small gif or image! We don't have cuts here, so be kind to your friends who might be on mobile.

casey thinks she's annoying af despite also liking her loads. her musical talent! her divination talent! LOOK AT HIS TALENTED BABY SISTER, EVERYBODY, SHE'S GONNA BE FAMOUS ONE DAY. NOT BEFORE HE IS, THOUGH. BUT ONE DAY. AFTER THAT. SHE'LL BE FAMOUS. he's a dance mom @ the heretics, sorry fam. (ha! literally!!!)

cor's the other likely suspect, in music and her year, and that much personality is EXACTLY PERFECTLY ENOUGH PERSONALITY FOR HER. this comment has a lot of caps and i apologize for that. like she pesters archie and london, she'll be pestering marie for hot takes on ranking and goss.

paige's in div a year above and wow, everybody at this school is so talented, wow!!!!!!!!!

kurt just wants to make sure tally's friends don't die but he's not sure how to go about that... just yet.

THESE HOLLOWAYS. ♥

Lachlan's a fellow Azurcrest but they don't have much overlap. He likes friendly, talkative people (he doesn't mind never getting a word in) and probably likes London just fine unless she's turned her nosiness his direction in the past. He's a pretty private guy and has some things he'd rather people didn't dig into. Up to you!

Casper...does not like her. If he catches her spying on people, he'll give her the riot act and take points and threaten to confiscate her camera. (Even if he's probably not allowed to do that.) SORRY. He's in Boating with her and probably ignores her.

Cole's a fellow artistic type and also doesn't mind forceful personalities. While he doesn't think she should be taking pictures of people's private moments on purpose, he probably isn't aware of what she's doing and probably can't throw that many stones since he draws everyone in his sketchbook. He'll see her at Craft Club! He also went to Ilvermorny with her and his brother was in her house, but I doubt there was a ton of interaction for them back then.

And Heathcliff's a fellow temperamental div kid! He's pretty friendly and he probably likes her. He doesn't think much of her gossip/paparazzi act because he doesn't really have any secrets and he likes having his picture taken. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ WHAT'S THE BIG DEAL, GUYS? He probably won't care unless she upsets his roommates or something.

Casper is a fellow Ebonhide and has Dueling with Pear and, while he probably likes her better than London because she isn't the photographer of the pair, he probably doesn't think much of her either. He'd like her to please stay out of his way. The fact that she's the new Ebonhide prefect will likely be exasperating to him and I hope she makes him even more exasperated, but he's available to help her learn the ropes.

Lachlan is in Outdoor Exploration with Pear AND is a fellow Scout! Though, not a Spriggan Scout, obviously. He probably finds her the more endearing twin just because of that (sorry London) and would love to talk to her about that dorky Scout stuff. :O HOW MANY BADGES DO YOU HAVE?

Cole...same deal as with London, really! He's fine with Aggressively Nice and probably likes her just fine. He went to Ilvermorny with her but probably didn't have much interaction with her since he was even more of a loner back in the day and his older brother (now graduated) was in Wampus. He'll see her for Craft Club!

Heathcliff likes aggressively nice and, if he had any idea that roller derby was her thing, he'd be happy to roughhouse with her. SUCH A SHAME. He's all kinds of curious about her carnivorous plants.

Casper is obviously a fellow Ebonhide and he's close to Cameron...and that's probably the only reason that he tries to not be terrible to Austin. Because the only hipster he likes is Diego and he wants to roll his eyes at every other word that comes out of Austin's mouth. :') SORRY.

Heathcliff is in the same grade and has Gardening Club with him but given that Austin kills every plant he touches he probably spends most of that time shooing him away from stuff that's important to him. DON'T WRECK THE GARDEN, BRO. Otherwise, he likes him and will just make fun of him a little when he gets too pretentious. Cole's in also in Austin's grade but probably doesn't see much of him. He will, however, let him talk about music for as long as he wants. He's definitely never heard of your bands, Austin, and he'll definitely be spacing out after you talk about the first two.

Lachlan...is also here? They're in gaming together and Austin can probably kick his butt at Mario Kart, but that's about it!

Coppertale is going to burn to the ground this year. I can feel it. :') ♥ I LOVE IT.

Heathcliff is the most relevant I have for Marie! They're in the same house, they're both Too Much, and they're both very into divination (though we'll see how long that sticks for Marie!). He probably likes her a lot both because of her personality and because he thinks her brother (who is his weight lifting buddy) is SICK. So hi Marie!

None of my others have any club overlap with her. WHOOPS. Casper likely finds her irritating (big surprise), Lachlan likely finds her overwhelming but likable enough, and Cole is probably just fine with her because he pretty much just rolls with things.

Any of mine are free to crush on, though I'm not sure they're worth it.

Riley thinks he's a little weirdo, and Austin really hopes he never found any of his electronics to dissect last year. Leave his ipod alone kid, it's important to him.

Rosy also thinks he's a strange kid and also definitely remembers him as one of the love potion kids, so she's not exactly a huge fan but all these sophs are weirdos and she can't exactly single one out for being especially weird.

Jeffy will be his oblivious, aggressively nice self. Hi bro!! You're in Quidditch!! THAT'S AWESOME.

And Dinah is in his year! I know they share at least Aesthetic Magic together, and she will talk to thin air if it stuck around long enough so she'll ramble at him. And DINAH DANGER has to fight a mad scientist that looks suspiciously like him in at least one issue. She defeats him with her SKATEBOARD, POW.

OK SO Dinah and Nisha are going to be menaces. Dinah will definitely go along with plenty of Nisha's bad ideas and pranks, especially if they seem like SUPER HARMLESS FUN!! But if she has an idea that seems BADASS and will probably kill one or both of them then that definitely sounds like the best idea she has EVER. HAD.

FOR THE OTHER FUCKOS: Riley only knows of her as a person that's smaller than her and she doesn't like that. Rosy is tangentially aware of her as someone on sy's team, zav's little sister, the love of Freddy's life, etc. Jeffy thinks she's AWESOME and HILARIOUS and what's new Jeffy loves everyone.

And Austin can fuck off idk.

Riley and Rosy are mostly only tangentially aware of her. It's fine you don't need to deal with them and that's for the best.

Jeffy used to have a crush on her older sister and tries to act like he just kind of knows the show. What??? He hasn't seen every episode or anything!! It's very helpful that Cor doesn't want it to ~DEFINE~ her anymore, it helps with that. But he also knows her through QUIDDITCH RAH RAH YOU'RE GOING DOWN (or not!! You're definitely going to have fun!!!)

Austin is in music! Different years but same house and he spends plenty of time in the music room. They cross paths plenty! I hope they get along!

SO Riley knows of him as being bros with Casey and from drama. She thinks you'll definitely be happier once you're back to being flirty party trash again, dude, come join her in the glittery trash heap.

Jeffy doesn't want there to be strife amongst his 39 best friends, but if his hand is forced he'll have his bro Micah's back. BUT YOU'RE STILL ONE OF HIS FRIENDS, by virtue of being the same grade.

Dinah calls herself an honorary coppertale cheerleader. Which is not a great actual overlap, but she knows him! OF him at least! SHE THINKS HE'S GREAT. He's probably in her comic book!!

Austin is overwhelmed by him sometimes but it's probably for the best. And Rosy is generally Aware of him but not much more and that's her own loss.

I am so down for them to be buddies. London will be happy to swap "DATA" with him.

Omg, London probably thinks Kenzie is so cool and looks at her with starry eyes. She wants to grow up to be like her =3

So so so, Dinah is a QUID BRO, and thinks Heathcliff is the bee's knees. She's pretty sure this is the coolest this Quidditch team has ever been and I think she's right.

Jeffy is one of your 39 best friends, bro, and knows all the other Quidditch players. Also, Cam thinks they'd look cute together, so at least someone ships them. Jeffy will be Classic Jeffy and overwhelmingly nice at all times.

Riley is Aware of him if he comes into the weight room when she and Casey are checking themselves out in the mirror. Hello Giant Boy, come flex with them.

Rosy knows of him as someone on Sy's team but probably not much deeper than that, and Austin is going to ruin things in the garden whenever possible. I bet the plants die when he tries to play music to them. He's the worst.

Omg LODNON WILL DEF BE FRIENDS WITH TUESDAY. She will gladly take pictures of her doing all the dumb tricks and will not in any way discourage anything dangerous. Gotta get the shot, do it again!

London loves Jade and thinks she is a ~cool older girl~ and will believe every fake rumor she feeds her, every time, especially the juicy ones.

Addy is so sweet! London likes her (but isn't going to listen!)

RIGHT SO Riley is aware of her as Kenzie's baby sister and being friends with Casey's little sister, but probably mostly doesn't understand how people younger than her have thoughts?? And opinions?? How are you walking and talking, aren't you actual fetuses???

Austin is in Music and he's not a gifted child, he just tries really super hard. Feel free to help or judge him, whichever seems more fun. I think he gets along best with other Music kids and wants to Jam.

Dinah is in the same year! And thinks that video of you guys at the Quodpot game is SO COOL YOU GUYS ARE BASICALLY FAMOUS NOW. Also Jeffy, he also thinks you're basically famous, EVERYONE HERE IS SO COOL!

Rosy is trying to keep an eye out for all the baby fishies, please don't do anything to get yourself hurt or she'll kill you.

Rosy is probably my most relevant, as another senior prefect and grump. They can stand around with their arms crossed and glare at people and we can call that bonding.

Then there's Austin! Who's the same house as her and probably spends most of his time around her fucking up things in the garden and acting mildly grumpy but not really for any specific reason. But that's basically the same as being friends when you're in Ebonhide.

Riley will hit on her and make her feel uncomfortable. And Jeffy and Dinah will be LOUD in her vicinity and I'm sorry I'm so sorry.

London will DEFO share all the hot goss on who is flirting with who and who is definitely going to hook up.

Omg they need to hang out even though together they will be So Much. But they can SWAP CUTE SCRAPBOOKING SUPPLIES!!

It's all fun and games until someone snaps a pick of you making out with your girlfriend in the lodge, Kurt.

London likes Lachlan's accent and his hair, and that is enough for her to talk to him (at him?).

Rosy just wants to make sure none of you children die. Austin is a year above her and probably deliberately acts like he's unaware of who's even on the Quidditch team. And Riley is a menace, bye Riley.

OK FOR REAL COMMENT TIME: obviously the most relevant is rosy, who is very happy to have one of her children back. Rosy is clingier now after endgame and will probably hover over him like "hey did you guys get all your homework done? Let me check it while you eat a hardy breakfast."

Riley will menace him in LARP and maybe draw on him in Aesthetic Magic because he's nearby and she needs to harass people.

Jeffy thinks he has the right idea about adventure. IDK HOW THEY WOULD INTERACT but they should, we will find a way to make it happen.

Dinah is loud and Austin is a douche and we don't need to worry about them.

Dinah loves this fucko and I think he needs to be her primary supervillain antagonist in the DINAH DANGER series. He has the power to confuse you by contradicting himself eight times in a single sentence.

FOR THE OTHERS: Riley doesn't know his name but definitely thinks he's the same person as that other weirdo redhead that was in coppertale last year. You can always harass Rosy and make her life hell. Jeffy gets easily confused by him BUT also thinks all his stories about lost civilizations are SUPER COOL??? DUDE TELL ME MORE. And Austin is probably a snot to him and they can be snots to each other.

Okay so Nisha and London were Wampus roommates! So they probably know each other?? And considering they are both nosy monsters I am guessing they probably get along? Nisha is going to harass the twins whenever she doesn't know wtf is up with Gooseberry.

I guess Yancey is relevant somehow but idk why??????? What would give me that idea???

HELLO PHIN!! he's most relevant to my senior demons:

- Riley could have possibly known him at Hogwarts, or at least been vaguely aware of each other. She was a Slytherin trying to make you forget she was even there but she had a Hufflepuff girlfriend and they could have at least been in each other's periphery. He seems fun, she likes chaotic fun.

- Rosy will be aware of him as the new person who has to put up with her brother and she's sorry, but not really. She's over in Coppertale a lot. She might sometimes clean the cabin too, because she's a different kind of fidgety monster and I'm so sorry if that's weird.

AS FOR THE OTHERS: Jeffy thinks he's AWESOME. No one is surprised. Dinah wants to see what he's tinkering with. Austin didn't realize there was a new person in this cabin.
