Hello everyone, and welcome (back) to Gooseberry! We still have a couple weeks until the actual game opens, but we anticipate a lot of new characters joining us.

RULES
- So the OOC comm isn't flooded with dozens of new introduction posts, please introduce your new characters here!
- Remember to put your character's name in the subject line!
- You can say as much or as little as you like. Consider hitting the basics like, house, classes, clubs and year, then describe their personality and interests briefly. Mention what kinds of storylines you want (friends, enemies, etc.) and get to plotting!
- Then go around and reply to other peoples' introductions, establishing lines and relationships.
- If you have some plot you'd like to talk to people about that involves a returning character, comment here explaining what you're planning!
- Be courteous and limit yourself to only one medium/small gif or image! We don't have cuts here, so be kind to your friends who might be on mobile.

Corrigan Bailey!
Concept: Former child star proves her worth with sass, audacity, and big bat.
Classes: (Core) Charms, Hermeticism, Potions, Transfiguration. (Elective) Defense Against the Dark Arts, Magical Rudiments. (Advanced) Music.
Clubs: Quidditch (Beater, reserve last year), Archery, Choir, Duelling & Fencing, Gaming.
- Corrigan grew up in Austin, TX, and went to a local day school before entering GB in her freshman year. Although she's halfblood she was raised primarily No-Maj and received a lot of her education through tutoring as opposed to classroom-based learning.
- She was a child celebrity. She and her sisters were cast in a Nick-esque TV show called Fly High where they portrayed a band of sisters called The Songbirds who balanced life, fame, and music. The show became a sensation overnight and, in the way that media aimed at preteens often is, Fly High and The Songbirds were marketed through the wazoo. For four years (8-12) her time was split between shooting, tutoring, appearances, interviews, and actual concerts (performing as The Songbirds). Eventually Fly High's popularity waned and the girls' contracts weren't renewed; they were pulled from the public eye and put back in day school with the public justification that "they need to focus on their education."
- She's at Gooseberry on a music scholarship: she sings and her fave instruments are the acoustic guitar and the harmonica). Her parents were a famous indie rock duo in the '90s but they haven't been successful since pre-kids. They constantly chase the celebrity bug and see their daughters as a way to get there again so there's a lot of pressure for Corrigan to succeed, but only in what they want: music.
- Quidditch has become her passion. She's doing everything she can to do well by the team and she looks at its seniors with stars in her eyes (sorry, Solo) because she thinks they're JUST THE COOLEST. Especially Casper Kim, whose opinions on everything she has decided are crucial to becoming a better Beater.
- She's sassy, energetic, and stubborn, curious, outspoken, and friendly — but flighty at the same time, and uninterested in people who have made a bad impression, or who she finds boring. She latches onto friends like they're family and will defend them tooth and nail. (Even those who don't realize it, like the members of the Quidditch team that she interacts with the least.)
- She thinks she's behind in everything (especially magic things) and does whatever she can to rectify that. This applies to anything from playing Quidditch to knowing what tequila tastes like. It can get her into trouble because her need to be on par with her peers, and accepted by them, overrules her desire to behave.
- She collects "curios," little magic-imbued figurines. Most are lined up on her desk and their spells sometimes clash, causing unexpected effects like turning her desk pink or whistling in response to nearby speech.
- She hates the name "Corrie" because it was her character's name in Fly High and she's trying to become her own person. Last year she insisted people only call her "Corrigan," but "Cor" is fine this year. Just... not Corrigan.
ALL LINES ARE OPEN! CALL NOW! She needs friends, enemies, rivals, anything and everything! The couple of groups that she'll already be pestering for sure are her roomies (hello bright pink girl gang!! 💖 ) and the Ebonhide sophomore boys, and the ebonhide Quidditch team. ETA because i just saw your edit, YES, ABSOLUTELY, it was marketed in that gross way where the company wants as much moolah as possible. the pencil case can be a reality.

Not much else in the way of overlap with mine, but Lachlan is her Hermeticism TA, Heathcliff is in Archery Club with her and plays Quidditch against her, and Cole is...also here!

Very little, but...
Ramon! In archery and a rival Beater, he'll probably like her just fine and will flirt a bit because that's a thing that he does. If he thinks she needs to improve some Beater-y skills (even if it's literally a tiny ass thing), he'll just tell her to her face because he's equal parts helpful and a twit... soooo he's available for that if you're interested.
Uhhhh, Hazel is here to talk about Texas if you want? They can try to talk the house elves into making brisket? Phi is obviously in her house and co-prefect with her Beater bro, roommate to (one of) her captain(s), etc. but their overlap is pretty much limited to that? She's at all the Ebonhide Quidditch games?? She'll prefect at her? And Jaime equally just has sort of distant relationthings via Quidditch so let's ignore him.

ramon! any time he tells corrigan that she needs to improve ANYTHING, she'll immediately go figure out a way to do it. he's an upperclassman and a beater so he has to know what he's talking about, right?! (read: yes please, i'm totally interested!) they might be on par in archery because she's used to shootin' rifles back home, so at least they'll have that~
yeah, she'll encounter phi sometimes but i think you're right about there not being much there. can she and hazel break out a line dance at a grotto party? i'm basing this on my prairie friends who have done so multiple times and the prairies are about as close as we get to the american south here, i think, so it's........ what i have to go on. lol.

Anyways.
Corrigan, you are too good :( Ramon will want to help her improve because everyone should work to be better or something, so he'll definitely give feedback if he sees anything obvious going on. Even if he doesn't do it nicely. But I'm glad she'll take it well. We can defo discuss specifics once we get into the year so he can be the twitbag helpful child he's meant to be, or something. Also. Shooting things is A+
Texas line dance is a must probably, just to kick up stereotypes. They can lament the lack of Shiner Bock beer in Logan (I just looked this up to confirm, because I'm a loser). I can tell you so much about Texas girl. So much.

And also this is just more of me being excited about all of these cute faces, but ALSO for the record, Tuesday did not watch her show at all, but she thinks it is Really Cool that Corrigan got famous.

corrigan loves tuesday unconditionally and i'm so excited for them to exist and their whole cabin and. :( the sophomore girls are going to need a broken bones/detention/points deducted/body count for the results of their bad ideas. and post-mortem meetings on how their latest excursions went.

Calvin's a rival Beater, but he definitely finds her to be... a lot. He likes big personalities, but wow that is. A very big personality you've got there.
Spencer thinks these loud girls are great. He definitely knows about her show, at least from picking it up from residual pop culture.
Reid is afraid these girls are going to destroy something.

My other relevant character is Nia who is very excited for the baby ebonsoph girls. And Cor is a music child and also in archery so Nia will have extra overlap with her there. If you need any gentle encouragement to stomp your enemies to dust (while staying within the rules) Nia is here to provide it.
Cor is cabinmates with one of Yancey's sisters SO. He will probably become a little familiar with her?

Dinah thinks she's a TOTAL BADASS! LOOK AT HER ON THE QUIDDITCH PITCH!! Girl gang, girl gang, go go girl gang.
Riley and Rosy are mostly only tangentially aware of her. It's fine you don't need to deal with them and that's for the best.
Jeffy used to have a crush on her older sister and tries to act like he just kind of knows the show. What??? He hasn't seen every episode or anything!! It's very helpful that Cor doesn't want it to ~DEFINE~ her anymore, it helps with that. But he also knows her through QUIDDITCH RAH RAH YOU'RE GOING DOWN (or not!! You're definitely going to have fun!!!)
Austin is in music! Different years but same house and he spends plenty of time in the music room. They cross paths plenty! I hope they get along!

Concordia is in her year - they share Charms, Potions, Transfig, and Magical Rudiments together! They are also both in D&F together. Cori is now Cordi or Corgi or Dia so there's no name conflict xD I just need to reflect that in her app at some point and I'm lazy. Honestly, Dia probably watched Fly High and fangirls a little.
Isabelle is in Choir with her and the same house but that's it. She might find her to be a bit overwhelming but also interesting with the whole being famous thing.
Samantha will be like HEY GIRL HEY CORRI HI and not even notice that she's pissing her off sorry she is like OMG, FAMOUS. But also they are in Archery and Gaming together so there's a bit of overlap and lmao I'm sorry she's going to be so annoying. ALSO THO Samantha IS behind in everything and has a kind of GO GO GO personality at times so there might be some potential for friendship or something.
Oscar and Avery share some clubs with her but are old and w/e.
