CHARACTER INTRODUCTIONS & PLOTTING

Hello everyone, and welcome (back) to Gooseberry! We still have a couple weeks until the actual game opens, but we anticipate a lot of new characters joining us.

RULES

So the OOC comm isn't flooded with dozens of new introduction posts, please introduce your new characters here!

Remember to put your character's name in the subject line!

You can say as much or as little as you like. Consider hitting the basics like, house, classes, clubs and year, then describe their personality and interests briefly. Mention what kinds of storylines you want (friends, enemies, etc.) and get to plotting!

Then go around and reply to other peoples' introductions, establishing lines and relationships.

If you have some plot you'd like to talk to people about that involves a returning character, comment here explaining what you're planning!

Be courteous and limit yourself to only one medium/small gif or image! We don't have cuts here, so be kind to your friends who might be on mobile.

It's JJ here with my inevitable fifth character. I live at the character limit. It's my home. You can read her full profile here.

Classes: (Core) Charms, Herbology, History of Magic, Potions. (Elective) Artificing, Astronomy, Magical Rudiments. (Advanced Study) Music.
Extracurriculars: Music TA. Choir, event committee, gaming, gardening. Morning barre. She also has a BAND, The Heretics, which she insists is a group endeavor but is more or less in charge of.

Natalie is a little hard to get along with for a Ribbonfin, because she likes doing things her way (read: the correct way). But besides that, she's very sweet. She went to Ilvermorny before Gooseberry, as a Horned Serpent, and wasn't very popular there because she struggles with learning magic and everyone in her academically-minded house thought she was kinda dumb. So now that she's here, she's eager to make LOTS OF FRIENDS. Sometimes too eager. She approaches friendship like a teething puppy approaches your delicious hands.

This year she has decided that it is time for her to experience heartbreak for the first time, and she is going about finding someone to break her heart in the wrongest way imaginable.

I'd like to talk about her relationship with the other music students! And the other Ribbonfins! And potential people for her to "fall in love" with! Don't be mean to her though because her big sister Kenzie and cousin Kurt are both prefects starting this year >:(

One specific line I'm looking for for her is another sophomore who was at this school last year and is good at poetry and shit. Natalie's a very gifted composer, but her lyrics are... uhmm... lacking? So she's been working with this person on her album, which is also her senior project. Bad lyrics notwithstanding she could probably turn it in tomorrow if she had to. She's basically done with her senior project already.

kurt loves her and thinks she's perfect ._. even though now he doesn't physically look up to her.

does she prefer tally to natalie?

corrigan is here for relationship-talking. she'll probably tell her to go for it. don't trust her.

She does generally go by Tally at school!! The grown-ups in Three Willows probably call her Natalie exclusively tho so it's your call on whether or not Kurt calls her Tally.

Hey she definitely needs a few bad influences. I thiiiink I'm going to go ahead and say that she was a fan of Corrigan's TV show just because it'll give her lots of chances to be weird and awkward. Sorry Corrigan!! she will definitely take care not to call her Corrie tho she's got that on lock

So Nia is into chiptune and other synthy music but doesn't get much opportunity to fool around with it, so, she would probably be really interested in the weird stuff Tally does. Not a huge jumping point, but something for them to interact over? Also since Nia lives in the music room, too, she will probably see Tally around a fair bit!

She is always willing to talk about weird synthy music!!!

OKAY. Aside from Nia and Tally chatting about music...

Nisha thinks Tally's funny. And can relate to the general sense of curiosity and also being a baby sister. They have some class/club overlap so they'll see each other around, esp if Natalie is going to be hanging around the CT girl's cabin because of Marie. Um, they were both at Ilvermorny together but prooob did not interact a whole lot, I am guessing, based on how they were socially, there.

And the boys are there. Yancey will be a friendly upperclassfin.

♥ WHAT A CUTIE.

None of mine have a ton of overlap with her or fit the roles you're looking for especially, but Cole went to Ilvermorny with her (where he was a bit of a loner too because he's an artistic space cadet) and he's in Ribbonfin with her now, so it's likely that they've crossed paths. He definitely doesn't think she's dumb and he's generally pretty receptive to other people telling him the Right Way to do things, so they may get along well? He's also in dance with her.

Apart from that, I've got Casper who is a musician (but not in the Music class) and who also used to be in a band. Sigh. Good ol' junior year! He may be slightly nicer to her than he normally would be because she's Kenzie's little sister. Not actually nice, but nicer.

I feel like Tally and Cole would get along really well! She might be a little too pushy with people sometimes but since he's a year older than her and she doesn't know a lot about art/drawing/painting she probably wouldn't actually have a lot of opportunities to be bossy with him so they could just be artsy weirdos together. She probably talks at him like... a lot when they hang out but she's not opposed to listening either

Casper is a Handsome Senior Boy which makes him a prime target for Tally's misguided love adventure. Sorry, Casper :(

♥ Cole always needs more artsy weirdos in his life and I love this~ She can definitely talk his ear off (though she might have to clarify at times) and he doesn't mind that at all. Also, I hope they can talk about her first crush in-game because that was cute~

I don't know if Casper is STILL a prime target for Tally's misguided love adventure after the meme conflict (ooh boy), but if he is, have fun! Especially because Carolina had a crush on him last year. XD So. Otherwise, obviously, he is protective of Iliya and Uly, so if she does involve herself in that ICly ever...she may get a harsh reaction from him. :( SORRY.

Sofia will love her just because she's Kenzie's little sister, so prepare for her to be adored.

Bianca's a year ahead of her in the same house and they'll have event committee together. She loves all her Ribbonfin family so I'm sure she and Tally could be fun friends. She'd help her with any classes she may have trouble with too.

I think she'd look up to Sofia. She likes her style.

She's not gonna be shy about asking for help from older students with stuff so Bianca can definitely help her out! Maybe with charms and stuff? I know Bianca struggles w herbology and that's one of Tally's better subject so maybe they can be study buddies.

She will dub her... mini me. Even if she is shorter than everyone.

Charms is something Bianca can definitely help her out with. She'll just cry when it comes to herbology because she hates it with a fiery passion.

DARLING BABY SISTER sorry this took me so long to get to, I'm so behind on intros. ♥

Kenzie is... overprotective and I'm so sorry about that. She's content to sit back and watch Natalie carefully most of the time, but the boy/girl that breaks her little sister's heart is in trouble. :')

Hellooo here I am to bug you for the millionth time, BUT I am trying to respond to all intros and I love her so it felt rude to skip :(
We have already spoken about Addy and Tuesday!! BUT Ferdie will know of her too as a babyfin and will probably be trying to reach out to them in particular this year.
I personally just hope she matches everyone by the time the year is over.

ANYWAYS - Hazel likely won't have much overlap with her at all beyond barre and gardening, sooo yep, useless.

Ramon will flirt with her, and apparently he's a good object of affection for her since he's a twitbag as you know, so feel free to pull any of the Veritaserum hilarity into IC-ness. I'm always happy to discuss! They can drink ~*brandy*~ like adults or something. He'll find her pretty and charming but will hardcore roll his eyes at her search for heartbreak. Also her lyrics. :( Apparently I'm just going to harass all of your characters with Ramon. Watch out, Reece.

Myyyy others are also pretty irrelevant. Phi is also in gardening and I imagine will circumstantially know Kenzie (and maybe frand of Kurt), but otherwise she will be confused by Tally's goals in life. Jaime will flirt a little with her if they come into contact, buuuut yeah. ♥

RIGHT SO Riley is aware of her as Kenzie's baby sister and being friends with Casey's little sister, but probably mostly doesn't understand how people younger than her have thoughts?? And opinions?? How are you walking and talking, aren't you actual fetuses???

Austin is in Music and he's not a gifted child, he just tries really super hard. Feel free to help or judge him, whichever seems more fun. I think he gets along best with other Music kids and wants to Jam.

Dinah is in the same year! And thinks that video of you guys at the Quodpot game is SO COOL YOU GUYS ARE BASICALLY FAMOUS NOW. Also Jeffy, he also thinks you're basically famous, EVERYONE HERE IS SO COOL!

Rosy is trying to keep an eye out for all the baby fishies, please don't do anything to get yourself hurt or she'll kill you.

ROOMIES WITH PEYTON! So we should totally discuss this. Alas, Peyton is as artistically inclined as a wet lettuce so she cannot be of use there :(

haha oh no I think all of their other cabinmates are also singers. do vocal warmups with them, peyton! lung capacity is... important for sports, maybe? tally doesn't understand sports

I love this child dearly so far, okay.

Cameron decided Kenzie is one of his best friends after endgame, so Tally is already practically family. But then she mocked Ulysses. "Brisket gravy in a hot dog bun" was the hottest track of the summer. Now he loves her and he wants to adopt her. They can karaoke together. Are piggy backs from tall people considered strenuous exercise?

Also, Tally and London seem to get along well. They can talk about LOVE and torture the rest of the student body!!

I definitely volunteer Issy for heartbreak, it'll be fantastic. BUT otherwise, they do share Choir, she was on EC last year and obviously they had overlap at Ilvermorny being in the same house there and all, she knows about the breakdown etc and yeah. ALSO, Isabelle is a great singer and has been interested in being in a band so she may ask her a lot of questions about that???

Samantha is in Event Committee and Gaming with her. She likes bands and thinks they are cool. She loves everybody and adores her older sister so probably adores Tally too.

Avery is a Ribbonfin! She has not always gotten along with Kenzie or Kenzie's friends probably more accurately but she doesn't judge anyone before knowing them and tries hard not to judge then either. Avery loves to help people though, so there's potential for tutoring and yeah!

Oscar is in Gaming and will be nice to her, but not much overlap otherwise!
