Hey everyone!

M&M were right about it taking some time to process the orders, so I just wanted to toss up a quick OOC reminder about the two events I'm handling for Event Committee this month. There's still plenty of time to get submissions in, but early submissions are appreciated. :)

Submissions for Candygrams will be accepted through Thursday, December 14th. The deliveries will occur the following day and be presented in a similar fashion to the Valentine's Day deliveries last year. As such, please realize that if you don't provide a message or sign your message, it will be delivered anonymously. (Which is fine!!! I just want to make sure every unsigned message was intended that way.)

Submissions for the Gift Exchange will be accepted through Saturday, December 16th. We have some very cute submissions so far. If you need some inspiration, Mr Merrill's Silly Clothing Donations is kind of what I had in mind?

Also!! To try to give everyone something to smile about, some adorably harassing messages are being peppered into the Candygrams from some very sincere freshmen. Ursula's journal allows anonymous and non-game journals to post in it, so if anyone else would like to write some silly messages from freshmen, I'll happily accept them. If you feel strongly one way or the other about your character receiving candy from a freshmen admirer, please let me know and I'll do what I can to accommodate. Thanks!!!

I am.. possibly going to pass out very early tonight, but I'll answer any questions people have as soon as possible!!!

I probably should have done this a couple weeks ago, but I need to put Ursula, Essie, Sun-mi, & Jacob on slow-posting.. probably for the rest of the month.

+ I know I missed a bunch of intros and I'm really sorry about that. Essie is probably most relevant to all the new Sophomores and you've all had a taste of what a disaster she is~

+ I have a bunch of tags sitting in my box to get to, but lemme know if there's a scene/conversation in particular I flaked out on that you would like me to get back to and I will!

+ If anyone wants to go to the dance with one of mine, lemme know and we can make it happen~ I don't want to overextend myself, so I haven't been actively pursuing dates for any of them.

Hey, this is Manx (Ursula/Essie/Sun-mi), bringing in Jacob Wood (or Jay.. I flip between calling him either). And to answer the only question you guys actually care about: yes, he takes off his shirt all the damn time.

Intro over.

Okay, fine, just kidding.

Jay is new to Gooseberry this year, having previously been a Ravenclaw at Hogwarts. Yes, he really is a Coppertale.

So, here’s some highlights:
+ Concept: Mouthy Ravenclaw know-it-all "taking a year off Quidditch."
+ He had a convenient growth spurt over the summer and he’s finally filing out, but he’s been an angry scrawny nerd for years. He’s still an angry scrawny nerd, he just doesn’t look like it (as much) anymore.
+ He’s been bullied for years at Hogwarts. Now he has a chance to be one of the popular assholes. He’s totally okay with this.
+ He hates Quidditch. He really fucking hates Quidditch. But he hasn’t told anyone that here. Instead he claims he’s “taking a year off Quidditch” to enjoy the cultural immersion and all that bullshit.
+ He did play Quidditch last year and was terrible. He was also a prefect. Add that to O.W.L.S. studying and he had a rather spectacular meltdown that finished with him transferring to a school overseas to avoid doing all that another year.
+ He’s very into languages. His favorite subject at Hogwarts was Ancient Runes. He’s keeping up with his studies independently this year because he is that much of a nerd.
+ He also dreams of being a cursebreaker some day and crawling around tombs looking for long lost artifacts. It’s more likely he’ll be sitting behind a desk buried under a pile of tomes, but a guy can dream.

UHM, HI. Manx here, bringing in the last piece of Morales/Tran/Morales-Tran Voltron. Essie is kind of a terror where Diego and Mina are concerned, but everyone else should be safe as long as they don't refer to her as Mina and Diego's baby sister. She's nuts about art and artificing and likes to bridge the two to make artsy magical toys. Her area of the cabin is frequently making chirps and other disruptive sounds that she has to be reminded to turn off. (Frankie and Regan are totally welcome to paint her area of the walls.)

Let's see... some profile highlights!
+ The blonde hair is definitely new this year. Last year she was kind of mousy looking.
+ Her extracurriculars are Archery, Duelling & Fencing, Equestrian, and Outdoor Education, but she'll jump into any activity that seems fun at the time. She doesn't care about being 'good' at much of anything as long as she's having fun.
+ She was part of Azurcrest's cheer squad last year, but didn't try out this year because she needs ~space~ from Diego.
+ This is a 180 from last year when she basically was Diego's shadow everywhere because he is was the COOLEST BIG BROTHER EVER.
+ Okay, so Diego (and Mina) didn't actually do anything wrong other than existing. Near the end of the year, Essie got up the nerve to tell a boy in their year about her serious crush on him and he ~~BRUTALLY REJECTED HER~~ kindly let her down, but the rejection definitely included the words "Mina and Diego's baby sister" so the world basically ended right then.
+ This year Essie is interested in BOYS and PARTIES and anything else she thinks Mina and Diego would disapprove of. (Getting a detention would be like a badge of honor at this point.)

UHM. So I really, really love the sophomores so HEY SOPHOMORES COME BE MY FRIEND. Or enemy. I guess. But you'll break my heart. 😢

I've been a complete delinquent when it comes to responding to intro posts so I will try to finally catch up on those, but feel free to also grab me about Ursula on this post. (I can probably take on like one or two logs right now if anyone wants something.) UHM YEAH. I think that's it for now. This was supposed to be short. ;;;;;;;;;
