She's been here for like a decade. If we're laundering money I sincerely hope she knows because that's a whole decade of not noticing.

I been here since April. And today I made the glorious discovery that Our stereo has an aux output. I wasted so many months listening to commercials on the radio when I could've been playing my own music all along.

Do you see the differences in our concerns? I make minimum wage. This is all the concerns I can afford to have lmao

lmfao my first week working here a guy called and asked if he could drop off his clothes and pick them up tonight. And it was like four hours to close so I told him no. He'll have to wait until tomorrow to pick them up. And he said 'why. You're a laundry mat. Isn't that what you do.'

And I said. 'Yes. But you're not our only customer. You're gonna have to wait'

And he said 'you're not very nice' and hung up on me.

And the second I thought 'that could've gone worse' was the moment I knew I probably shouldn't be in a customer service job.

Yeah I'm the same way. People are such assholes at the movies (which I DO NOT GET) But I have the worst customer service caring. I could launch into so many stories but my new thing is the only one I'll share:

It has become my pet peeve that people can't communicate anymore, and I HATE HATE HATE with a fiery passion when I ask them what time they want (since they can't seem to say it themselves) and they just go "Now obviously" So being the snarky bitch who learned passive aggressive like an art in the government, I now reply with (in a completely overly sweet tone) "I'm sorry, we don't have one starting now. We do have one at [insert time here (even if it's within minutes)]. would you like that one?"

there's a war going on at my salon where the stylists keep fighting over whether pandora plays country or top hits and they'll sneak to the back to change it.

And only two of us even listen to music. I live and breathe music so I've gotten intimately familiar with radio stations. My coworker used to listen to religious shit but now I've come in to find her listening to whatever channel i last left it on

I've had a customer thank me for not blasting Jesus shit tho. Bc USUALLY I only play music loud enough for customers to hear when we're an hour to close and I gotta clean all the shit. Or when I spend all day doing laundry like today.

I had an old person moment last week when a radio station didn't bleep out as many words as I expect it to (SINCE WHEN CAN YOU SAY PUSSY ON THE RADIO FAM) I got full grown adults i dont feel comfortable cussing in front of in my vicinity. Oh my god, we forgot to turn on the explicit filter on Pandora when we set it up (I ignorantly assumed they were all radio edits) and it was super silent in the salon when Starboy came on. And I was at the front desk, minding my own business when
