LYSS HERE with my fifth asshole, Baby Fox.

His real name is Ira Ashworth! Here's all the parts I'm gonna forget! He's a COPPERTALE JUNIOR, and he's the second Quidditch reserve for Coppertale. He's also in Gardening Club, but that is all, he sucks at extra-curricular activities

Classes:
CORE: Potions, Herbology, Hermeticism, Transfiguration, Charms
ELECTIVES: Magizoology, Aesthetic Magic, Pre-Healer Studies.

Ira is from Portland Maine, where his two moms and little brother Elias still live! His mom Ava teaches at Elias's school, and his mom Miriam collects cursed artifacts and studies them.

But ALWAYS LABEL YOUR CURSED ARTIFACTS or your 6 year old son will get into them and get cursed and be sick for months afterward. That is what happened to Elias. He is alive! He's better! But it was scary

That's when Ira decided he wanted to become a Healer, so that he could help people like Elias. He has wanted that and nerded out for that for years and years, but then he came to Gooseberry and got social and decided that maybe that is not what he wants to do? Only sometimes it is?

So now he's having a very premature quarter-life crises in which he has learned how to dodge rules and procrastinate while maintaining his 4.0. He's nauseatingly good at this

He's also good at arguing, and because he's adopted several ideals such as veganism forever and all kinds of human rights issues, he does a lot of that

He's not good at much else, which disappoints him. He's a solid Quidditch reserve but not like, spectacular, and he doesn't have a Signature Genius Talent like many Goosekids. It's a Problem.

After years of being VERY QUIET and VERY GROUCHY, Ira's opened up a little here. He's deeply unapologetic about that, just like every other aspect of his life. If you're his friend, expect him to argue for you til he's dead, even if he's dead wrong

If you ask him where he gets his protein he will make YOU into a sausage, but just with his words, because he's too chicken to get in Actual Trouble.

Sooo, Spencer and Ira might make good close friends??? They're both altruistic, although Spencer's not a crusader so much as he is a disorganized self-sacrificing bleeding heart. Spencer is... less serious than Ira, AS YOU MAY HAVE NOTICED. Aaaand Spencer is not vegetarian or vegan, although he does refuse to eat chicken on account of dear, sweet Shandy, his familiar. He couldn't look her in her darling eyes if he was eating her brethren. Which may possibly be a path to convincing Spencer to try a more meat-free diet if Ira can argue his case successfully! Regardless, Spencer is not discouraged by a little grouchiness and will adore Ira I hope. :((((

Calvin will be easy to bait into arguments, but will generally be stressed out by Ira who is an Attractive Boy who is Smart and Confrontational.

Reid is his senior prefect and like.. please... don't argue with him. Reid can't handle all those words. He'll just shut down. He's allergic to debate.

AND YES I would love them to be close friends so much. Ira would appreciate Spencer's disorganization since he can fall into that a LOT himself too, and he does kind of like being not serious sometimes. Spencer could maybe get him to put down the soapbox for a little while and it would be nice :( THEY MIGHT BALANCE EACH OTHER OUT a little.
And I FORGOT ABOUT THE CHICKEN IN THEIR DORM AAHHHH
Please assume Ira cares for this bird like his own.
He has also mooostly kinda almost stopped telling people at Gooseberry what to eat but he will inevitably shoe-horn it in sometimes.

I hope he does argue with Calvin and I hope it's a disaster but I'm sorry Calvin.

He will prooobably mostly defer to Reid because he tries not to be toooo anti-prefect and will try v hard to not scare him with all the words.

Annnd I care about them but Ira. Might. Not.

BALANCE IS VERY GOOD. BABY FOX AND SCARY FOX, NATURAL OPPOSITES. So yes Spencer will try to get Ira to loosen up and pick his battles a little more, and maybe Ira can hold Spencer back a little when he's got a new questionable idea (Todd fake dating Jade to scare off a ghost, Cash getting a makeover, Todd wearing eyeliner, making out with 10+ people to get over Micah, etc). Maybe they can be one another's voice of reason. Aaaand Ira is a good boy, I promise Spencer will not be easily guilted into any particular diet. :(

Calvin's life is suffering, and he thinks that whole cabin is slightly bad news.

All of those are really good ideas and I don't know how anyone could think otherwise. Jade's gonna be a great fake girlfriend and Cash's makeover will be lifechanging.
Jk yes, Ira would try to lightly steer him off these rails and on to new, better rails. But if he thinks something's important to Spencer he is right there to shout down the world.
Like I am sure he has at least WANTED to yell at Micah, sorry, Micah :(
