Current State: I mean right this second? These last few days? She's been a basket case because of the Hogwarts game. She did indeed make everyone watch How to Train Your Dragon last night but she didn't do a super good job of setting an example for relaxing. Win or lose today, she'll spend the rest of the year (until endgame bs) much more relaxed than she's been to date. Finals? Pfft. She eats finals for breakfast!

Current State: Oh boy oh boy!!!! A lot has changed very suddenly!

He's trying to get over his hopeless crush on a forest monster/actual moose by forcing himself to admire living, breathing humans he finds aesthetically pleasing. It's a Struggle. Currently, he's shifted admiration to somebody who he sees as unavailable and uninterested (he has a type) and that's Jaime. It's fairly recent and will possibly be short-lived, idk, we'll see.

The forest entities are starting to scare him!! And it's starting to become hard to find excuses for their behavior when they keep taking kids. After some of his favorite seniors (Quinn!! Diego!! Ivy!! :( ) were trapped in the woods, his faith was finally shaken and if/when Cole tells him about what happened at the Baby Ghostbuster seance, true fear is going to sink in.

He's been going to the Grotto less and less after he learned of Dimi's vision (SORRY, HE PURPOSEFULLY SPUN THE VISION INTERPRETATION TO HAVE POTENTIALLY POSITIVE MEANING TO DEFLECT BLAME OFF OF ANON) and he completely stopped going after the seniors were trapped. He was super suspicious when he saw one of the entities at the camp out the other day and when Tess has her Spooky Encounter, he's going to panic.

He's turning toward divination and crystal mysticism (idk the proper term for this) even more as a way to cope with the fear of the unknown. He always wears crystal jewelry anyway, but now it seems like he's doubled up on them.

Looking For: idk :^( People to hang out with over the summer? He has a lot of friends, I just need to get better at having him actually talk to them.

Summer or Year Two plans:
Summer plans: IDK YET!!! I've been toying with the idea of him popping over to New Zealand for a bit to visit places from his childhood memories and do some ~soul searching~. Otherwise, he's just going to be helping around the ranch and browsing the internet and working on commissions and visiting the Cunninghams and tryna hang out with friends and do some underage drinking.

Y2 plans: Y2 concept rn. I'm gonna have him apply to be a TA so we'll see how that goes. So far the plan is for him to come back BOLDER, WISER, MORE CONFIDENT, AND MORE ANDROGYNOUS!! This year has been a very good year for his development and he's reasonably well-liked among his peers so there's really no reason for him to be a shy, slouchy-shouldered shlub forever. He might also see a counselor over the summer and start getting the help he needs. My Good Boy!!!!

Current State:

HOLDING ON TO THE CREEPY PICS OF MR. ELMASRY and is not sure what to do with them. Once endgame approaches, I think she'll try to at least make some connections with them, whether that will mean her half-baked plan of dumping them back to anon or handing them back to Mr. Elmasry. She is not going to keep them forever. That'd be weird. This also means she will dive a little more thoroughly into the Forest Mystery, ESPECIALLY after so many of Her Seniors were kidnapped by it last month.

SAD ABOUT SENIORS :( Maybe that's every junior, but the magnitude of them all LEAVING HER is starting to hit. It's sad!!

MORE COMFORTABLE WITH PREFECTING! YAY! WHICH is vaguely funny given the situation stated for Y2, but whatever.
Looking For: I do not literally know. People who want to hang out over the summer? Who lives near VA? WHO'S GONNA BE HER POTIONS BUDDY ONCE Z LEAVES?!

Summer or Year Two plans: IN YEAR TWO Addy is actually going to become the Potions TA, which is of course why Kenzie got the prefect spot in that cabin now. That is not a decision that will come easily, because she's started to really love prefecting. BUT once offered, she won't be able to say no. Potions is her True Passion (tm), and she's going to spend more time exploring that next year under her hero, Mr. Elmasry, so that's ultimately the best fit.
AND I think that will signal a shift in her general personality to be a little more selfish. In a good, career- focused way. She might even be able to take the compliments "you are smart!" or "YOU ARE GOOD AT ____!" in a year's time. Who knows. Stay tuned!

Looking For: I don't know??? MORE FRIEND TIME??? I've been really happy with building his friendships. He and Cole have a ton to work through, too. And I'm working on getting Calvin to branch out more IN GENERAL.

Summer or Year Two plans:

• Summer: Calvin's going to eventually convince his parents to let him come back to Gooseberry. But after learning the good news, he won't know how to break it to people, so he's going to make the Great decision to....... not tell anyone. He's going to spend the summer training hard at Quidditch and trying to BE MORE CONFIDENT. He's going to grow even taller and start trying to dress better. It'll just be a nice new outer shell for the same awkward, unpleasant boy.
  
• Year Two: Calvin is going to be made Beater! SO EXCITED ABOUT RAMON AND CALVIN BEING TERRIBLE TOGETHER. I think Calvin will be genuinely a little more secure, so he'll be both a touch warmer... as well as punchier and bossier. There might be, like, a week where Calvin tries to imitate Damon right down to being a charming flirt and it's going to go Really Badly. You can't sloot when you respond to implications you're attracted to someone like this, and the idea of casually kissing anyone makes you break out in hives. Extracurriculars: Drama (Tech Only), Dance (Unofficial)
Current State: Not good. Cole's still trying to get over the breakup with Calvin and accept that Calvin's returning to Hogwarts next year (even if it's not actually happening!) and trying to figure out how to transition that relationship back into friendship. It's hard. He's also quite shaken up after the sophomore seance adventure and more worried about the intentions of the entities in the woods than ever. He wants to tell the teachers about what happened but won't have a chance to fall on his sword before Calvin, Jadi, and Ari take care of that.

This is the Most Stressed he's been in a very long time and his reaction to that is to be more of a loner and throw himself into his artistic pursuits. Lots of drawing and painting and the like going on right now. Unfortunately, this includes terrifying drawings of their good friend Henry. He's also spending more time in the dance studio trying to watch the older kids and mimic what they're doing. He's finding that he really likes dance and is slowly getting over his EWW GROSS feelings about sweat and physical exertion in general between dance and Quidditch. Sloooowly. Friends are likely to notice that he's less available and (even) less communicative than usual. Sorry, guys. This is how he copes.

Looking For: Working through things with Calvin and playing with his established friends more to develop those relationships. He's also decided that Zach is Super Nice and would like to get to know him better. Apart from that, I'd like him to get more involved with the dance kids! Teach him your ways. Try not to get too weirded out when he draws you. Sorry about him.
Anything Else: I miss using Cole's happy icons. :'(
Summer or Year Two plans: Cole will likely be taking the summer to get his head on straight and he'll be doing that by losing himself in his art. He'll be going to artist retreats and taking classes and doing some beginner dance workshops and the like, staying busy and relatively isolated so he can just get everything out. While he'll write letters to his friends or periodically send them odd little artsy gifts, he won't be around much. He needs some space. But this will let him come back in a better place for Y2!

Going into Y2, Cole will still be Cole: academically bright and artistic and generally 'gifted' but a socially inept space cadet. The situation with the sophomores this year, though, has forced him to speak up and push back against his peers a bit more and he'll be a little less ready to be bossed around or believe everything he's told as a result. He'll still be fairly easy to deceive or manipulate, but a repeat of the Coralee Incident wouldn't be possible in Y2.

He won't be coming back to school any taller (feel free to pass him by cabinmates!) but he will come back a little slimmer and a little leaner and with more defined muscles because of dance.

Extracurriculars: Archery Club, Duelling & Fencing Club (she only attends fencing weeks), Equestrian Club, Outdoor Exploration, and Cheer Squad. Trimming this list down in Year 2 to Archery, Fencing, and Quidditch.
Current State: Let's see.. Essie has been busy~

She went to prom with a Cute Older Boy and solved a mystery and Mina was crowned Prom Queen!!! All very good things!!!

CREEPY FOREST STUFF. Bad stuff happened to Diego so she helped a bunch of sophomores poke at bad stuff and make it worse. Oops. They had talked about telling a teacher but that was before Ms. Vector's crackdown so she's definitely relying on her sneakier friends to figure this one out. Thank you for having her back, guys. She's... dealing with this about as well as everyone else is.

She's still bummed about Mina and Diego graduating, but she has a really solid friendship base and is coming to accept this is happening. In part because she's projecting and thinks the forest is trying to keep everyone from leaving because it doesn't want to be lonely and she's seeing how Not Okay that is.

Looking For: Morales-Tran time before they're gone! Quidditch practicing. Whatever~
Anything Else: I really appreciate everyone who collaborated on making the seance plot happen. Thank you so so much. (Oh, and I uploaded Year 2 icons earlier today, so have one~)
Summer or Year Two plans:

Summer: Of interest to people in general... Essie needs to keep up with her Quidditch practicing over the summer and she lives in the middle of nowhere, so she'll be inviting people over for regular Quidditch scrimmaging/practicing. I don't know how much of this will happen on-screen, but it's happening and is something people can mention post-summer! Otherwise, I have plans for her to take a part-time job at a froyo shop and have a ~summer romance~ with a muggle there, oh my.

Year 2: A major focus for Essie for year 2 is Growing Up. Both in becoming more mature and responsible and also in dealing with living away from family for the first time. She's going to be playing Quidditch with a lot of her friends so that is going to help with that transition. She's also going to need to buckle down more academically, so we will see how that goes. There will still be lots of tinker toys, but probably fewer lists of all the cutest boys in school.

Current State: Like many of her sophbros, Hazel is getting pretty unsure of Forest Shit. :( She's still trying her best to remain optimistic about 2's intentions, but that's becoming a bit harder. She's also starting to freak out about the seniors graduating and general shifting friend dynamics - she doesn't really want anything to change (beyond like, less creepy forest business), so this end of the school year has been a little rough on her. She's not any less herself, but there is more of a hint of sullenness to her sometimes.
Looking For: Whatever! I'm always looking to develop her friendships more. Also if you have a soph boy that needs bossing around, Hazel is always happy to oblige -3-

Hazel is going home and is just going to bother her family and friends as much as she can. She'll invite some of her closer friends to come visit her in Texas so they can do shit like go to water parks and just generally decompress from everything that's gone down this year! Y2:
Hazel is... just Hazel, still, but with an attempt to be more ~*mature*~. She'll be more adventurous in terms of 'romantic' escapades, she'll sigh dramatically about Casey being cheer captain but will be supportive, and she's going to start her senior project because she cares about it a lot! Because of this she's going to throw herself into Potions pretty aggressively so... Addy, you might be seeing a lot of this little weirdo?? She'll be writing her graduated friends pretty frequently. She will... be running/helping to run ice hockey (I think?). She will still make horrible mistakes, climb too many trees, and use sparkle text too much.

Current State: Micah's ON EDGE after the last seance, this is the very first spooky incident at this school that's shaken him (sorry Azurseniors, he was worried but not that worried). His roommates in particular have probably noticed that more than anyone else. I haven't had the chance to play it out much, but Micah's coping in the only way he knows how, which is to be ~MICAH ST. CLAIR~ and basically just like he's breezed by all that. Ha ha forest ghosts like WHAT forest ghosts
Looking For: Not much right now! Micah has a lot of interesting relationships but a whole another year to develop them. I may spend the rest of this month focusing on my seniors buuut I can never resist a sophomore shitpost, so.
Anything Else: Chaser and Seeker are my two fave Quidditch positions and I'm finally going to have both of them... I'm so proud of my garbage boy Micah :'(

Related to this: Micah has a ~motorcycle~ and he's possibly going to try to take that bad boy for a tour this summer. Here's my WANTED LINE!!!! Would anyone be interested in being Micah's big dramatic summer fling? This is what I want: Micah dates someone over the summer (or possibly June but no promises), it gets pretty serious until they break up DRAMATICALLY right before September, just in time for them to start the year being EXTREMELY AWKWARD. I would rather not that it was Hazel because I'm imagining this will have a negative/tense impact on any lines, and alsooooo probably not anyone who's sort of involved with any of Micah's roommates since he's loyal to his chickabros. :( BUT WE CAN TALK

• In a lot of ways, she's ready to head home? She misses performing. And her family. And she's bound and determined that her father will let her walk wire blindfolded this summer if it kills her.
• Generally content is pretty much Roxie's default. It's maybe a little less content. But she's putting that down to Quidditch being over and actually having to study for things. Because it certainly isn't due to ...
• Roxanne Barringer, Actual Coppertale: Okay, so maybe Roxie's actually super unhappy that the Seniors are graduating. (Mostly Chris. She's biased.) And sort of roilingly nervous about being a Senior herself. She doesn't want to talk about it. Shut up, she's allowed to ignore her own emotional crises while being supportive of yours. No, this is not hypocritical.

Looking For: Always up for any and all things! Random nonsense is my favorite nonsense.
Summer or Year Two plans:

• Summer: Roxie's back home for the summer, which means she's working. Predominantly up on wire, but she's sure her mother will be dragging her up on trapeze too. She'd like to take Reece out on a date. (She isn't certain what this entails. She will probably ask her brother-in-law. As he's the only normal person she's related to.) Also, she finally turns 17 in August. Her parents want her to have a birthday party. She is very embarrassed by this. Her aunt wants her to learn how to work the hoochie tent. She is, unsurprisingly, less embarrassed by this.
• Year 2: This will be the longest that Roxie has ever been in one school before. And she's more unhappy about the prospect of leaving than she is about coming back. Which is strange for her, because she's way more accustomed to getting antsy when in one place for too long. And now she's the experienced half of her Beater team. Which - is unnerving. (I mean, she definitely wants to wage some lady-murder. But don't call her Boss. Please. She has some feelings and shit.) Also, she has some definite ideas about her Senior Project. So - actually working on actual work Roxie will be a thing. (How awful.)

Worried about tangible consequences of the seance (and not the ghostly ones, for once) and feeling deeply guilty that he hung back because he’s a fraidy cat. Wishing he could do more. Pretending like he’s fine and not terrified.

Does not want to come back next year (fixing this is...actually a pretty big problem for me, rn :|). Lucas hasn’t outright told anyone and it’s got him pretty screwed up. He is presently in the process of accepting that maybe he is just a coward and there’s no fixing that and he isn’t cut out for haunted camping school. Whooooooooops.

Also hey there’s that cute boy that’s really funny and fun to be around and what the hell is he supposed to do with this information? shit that complicates things even more.

Summer: Lucas is going to get his Apparition license over the summer and will be available to visit people! He’s also going to get a summer job working in circulation at AFPLS, which’ll focus him, get him out and better equipped to engage with people on at least a superficial level. He’s going to take a more genuine interest in teaching/research as a result of this and come back in Sept ready to engage in academia and work hard in school.
Y2: I … have to swap his PB. I just have to. CURLS WILL STILL BE THERE REGARDLESS OF WHO I PICK. Lucas will still be an odd bird. Still weird and imaginative and daydreamy. He’s going to grow an inch and stop. A little less catastrophizing, a little more realistic thinking, hopefully, but we’ll see. Need to get him into some more clubs maybe.

Isabelle wants to go home, and she's steadily realizing more and more that Laurel and Ivy are going to be gone and her Mentors/Best Friends are leaving her. She was doing really well with not being overly OCD/food-conscious but it's starting to slip as her stress levels heighten. ALSO, between Ari refusing to kiss her and both Ari/Jade not hugging her for Truth or Hug she's feeling SUPER self conscious. (except ty solo you are a gem)
Looking For: Anything! Isabelle has some great lines right now but some of them are graduating, and a lot are new. I'm looking for some tighter friendships, someone she can crush on, and I want to maybe expand on the mean-girls mean-girling her?

• She is... extremely unsettled by what happened at the seance. She knew it was a bad idea going in, but... seeing something is always worse than getting spooked because you're afraid you'll see something. She's not looking forward to sneaking out in the middle of the night again at all, but she's convinced that y'all are going to spill the beans and get everyone in trouble unless she takes the fall for it, so. (Is that funny yet.) SO she's happy that she/Calvin/Ari are going to be the ones turning in the information, because she still firmly believes if someone else did, it would spell EVEN MORE TROUBLE. She's not looking forward to falling on a sword, exactly, but she'll do it.

She is slowly/surely turning a lot of her questionable talents to good use. Most of the time. She is going to spit verbal fire at the Hogwarts Mean Children today and has found that her 39 best friends NEED her to be a compulsive liar sometimes. This is a welcome/good outlet, but she will be needing more I am sure. Since BREAKING TODD'S HEART was stil also kind of fun. Whoopsies.

This time, it's because she's spending the first month in Japan, and the second in (probably) Spain for her parents' respective jobs. She's definitely not excited, but is going to be testing out her Wings a little, and sneaking out, and in general taking the advantage she can of the cool places she's stuck in, now that she's 16 and an adult who's survived waaay worse than the streets of Tokyo.
YEAR TWO: She's going to concentrate more on performing arts I guess? Which she does already, but I think she will try to apply for a music advanced study (voice) in order to break in to musicals, etc. Other than that, largely just leading her brunette cult to world domination, and stuff.

- Solomon is some kinds of fucked up. Up until this point he's been a pretty chill, worry prone (but like selectively worry prone) dude, with a good heart, who is calm and understanding about nearly everything ever.
- The decision to volunteer to take veritaserum has fucked him up a little bit. He's discovering that he might not have been as honest as he believed he was, since he keeps much of how he feels to himself, which he views as dishonest.
- THESE GENIUS SOPHOMORES decided that going out to the grotto and doing a seance was a good idea and that has left Solo some kinds of fucked up. It's the first supernatural event that has truly terrified him and he's not being awesome in his terror. He strongly believes that someone should tell an adult, but since he accidentally told Ulysses about the first seance, he feels like the rest of the sophomores deserve him sucking it up and keeping quiet about this one.
- Solo went to prom with Sam, and they're kinda hitting it off. He likes her, he feels that he can be honest with her. So that's cool. That's like a cool gem in this mountain of pure shit.
Looking For: idk idk. i would love to grow and develop more relationships between him and the sophomores. He's involved, but he's not like involved and i wanna change that, fam.
Anything Else: I fly to california in two days, guys.
Summer or Year Two plans:
Summer: Solomon and Sam are gonna be equally positive and negative influences on each other. He's gonna take her to art museums, and she's gonna teach him the meaning of Fuck, marry, kill and how you don't have to apologize every time you say you'll figuratively kill someone. By the end of summer they're gonna just like get tipsy while discussing the nuances of Shakespeare.
Y2: Solomon is going to have matured a tad. He's pretty mature for his age, as far as emotions go, but it's gonna even out and stabilize. He's gonna be less prone to obnoxious worrying. He has to make the decision to return, so he's gonna feel more confident in his decision and his actions. Because of that, he might be less sensitive. He'll still be as openly compassionate, but he'll take less to heart, and be less easily hurt. He's pretty happy for both Clem and Ulysses for making captain, because he believes they both deserve it in their own way. And he's 100 percent prepared to run interference between them and assure Clem that Uly doesn't really mean she's Captain poophead, and assure Uly that Clem doesn't really want to see him walk off a cliff. He's gonna be zen as fuck during quidditch practices, and it's gonna be hilarious. He's gonna confidently make everybody hold hands for twenty seconds if things get too blatant.
