PREPARING FOR IJ'S (HOPEFUL) RETURN
Alright, everyone, with the (hopeful) return of IJ on the horizon, here are a few announcements:
- This fresh OOC post is dedicated to Cameron.
- Tomorrow, regardless of whether or not the site is up, we will be posting a list of the major events and IC/OOCs that are scheduled in March.
- If we do get IJ back, we'll be posting the plot calendar at 11:00 AM tomorrow morning. This will save poor Marin from staying up until 3 AM formatting it.
- Regarding the IC explanation for the downtime: With the Grotto party having taken place tonight (3/3/17) with characters referencing no access to the journal network, if the network comes up tonight treat it as though characters woke up on Saturday morning with functional journals.
- If IJ does not come back tonight, we might be looking at an IJ-less weekend. The Quidditch game post will be posted here on DW on Sunday, and Saturday we might cave and make a Veritaserum meme.
- Let us know if you have any questions!
- Veritaserum Meme!

i'll ask my brother.
EDIT: apparently it is still there. living in a box somewhere. possibly under a pile of plastic toy soldiers.
EDIT 2: i asked him how pissed off he'd be if i stuck it in a box and mailed it to someone. the answer to this is apparently: INCREDIBLY. despite it being in the attic. under christmas decorations.

which is still being forgetful. but at a different part of the story.
(not that you need to worry about sending it. i just didn't want you to think that i was forgetting. though i was. but STILL.)

i'm supposed to be writing reports for work. instead i am eating peanut butter oreos and laminating velcro books about safety signs.

my father once made a comment about me wasting my time talking to my imaginary friends on the internet. so everytime a friend gives me something, i throw it up in his face.
a couple years ago, we let our hulu subscription lapse, and i got the password of one of my friend's and put it on the living room tv, and refused to give it to him so he could use it on his tv. i was just like 'sorry, using my imaginary friend's hulu, get your own'.
it would've been hilarious if i just went to him and gave him a box and said 'my imaginary friend sent me a game cube for you'.
but i understand your brother. bc if gamecubes aren't obnoxiously expensive they're fucking nowhere. I tried to tell him that we can just get a wii, and plug game cube controllers into it and play the fucking games, it'll be fine, and a hell of a lot easier to find.
but me and my sister bought him a wii when it first came out. and ... men are dumb prideful creatures. I think the wii making him feel like a dumbass traumatized him. Like spend some time with the shit and learn and adapt for fuck's sake.

but my brother is a hoarder - despite living in an apartment in the city where he probably couldn't fit his gamecube. my brother still has his dreamcast. what anyone ever used dreamcast for still greatly puzzles me. but he still has it.
he also gave me the same explanation re: the wii when i asked him about the gamecube's current location. and then asked me if i wanted to subscribe to comixology with him. (by which he means, pay for comixology for him.)
your dad is more advanced than mine. mine still complains about his intellivision. which is also in the attic. possibly under christmas decorations.
