Pre-Opening Introductions

INTRODUCTIONS
Welcome to Gooseberry High! This is the catch-all post for all character introductions before the game's opening on September 1st. Please comment below telling everyone about your characters, respond to their comments, goof off, plot, all of it! ♥
Christopher Park
Okay so, I am bringing to you Christopher Park, who was mockingly called Bambi when he came to this school because he looks about twelve and is adorable with his grumpy cat face. And since it's an ongoing thing, feel free to have your characters refer to him as that. He's a Coppertale senior now and the beater for the quidditch team.
He grew up with a single mother, who was a muggle, so he had to play a lot of catch up when he first came to this school, which he came to on scholarship. He's from Boston. He's not an outright asshole, and he's very far from a bully, but he's got a very mean resting bitch face and a completely nonexistent patience for bullshit. He's basically a very small attack dog with a semi quiet bark but a very big bite. Which would have probably caused a great deal of problems for him in school, but he didn't get here from connections, he came here on scholarships and that alone is what keeps him in line.
And... that's all I have. So give me plots.

hope the day got a little better ;-;
i have one kid in-game at the moment, a ribbonfin senior named zoey. her main connection w christopher is probably quidditch, as she plays chaser, and the fact that they're both scholarship students. c: if they've interacted much -- they do have a small handful of classes together -- she probably finds the whole grumpy-old-man thing kinda cute & amusing. :x

But unless there's a second Zoey in game, I'm pretty sure Zoey's in the plot point scene I volunteered Chris for on the plot calendar too. But really, if they've interacted at all, Chris is pretty harmless. He isn't ridiculously over the top or uncomfortably serious. He's just scowly. I'm sure he doesn't mind her much.

annnnnd yes, looks like they'll be clinging to eachother while a buncha scary deer run by. lol

I have three characters, but most relevant to Chris is Reid, one of his teammates! Reid is a year below him, and will be a Chaser this year. He was Seeker last year, and although he's a great flier, he's... not very worried about winning. It was kind of stressful for the team. Reid is an awkward ice prince, but he's really attached to his team, and is a little more open around them. He's kind of lazy and passive 80% of the time. He won't be shaken by Chris' grumpiness, and probably has a lot of respect for Chris. Like Chris, Reid is here on a (sports) scholarship, and he's from s pretty poor family. Lest year he almost lost his scholarship because he's nooooot so good in class. :x
Diego Morales is a senior Azurcrest, and he's a very talented musician... but also a spoiled rich hipstery pureblood. He's really friendly, and can't handle it when people don't like him. He might assume Chris doesn't like him (whether or not he does) and try WAY TOO HARD to change that.
Calvin Evercreech is a Sophomore Ribbonfin, and a Hogwarts exchange student. He's also here on an academic scholarship, and he's very academically ambitious. He's also whiny and unpleasant, and before he came to Gooseberry he was a little bully. Now he's at the bottom of the food chain and often gets picked on by Chris' captain, Sy. Calvin usually gels with people who are on the rougher side, but he also escalates arguments unnecessarily. Either way, I don't think he and Chris will cross paths much!

So obviously Chris has plot with Reid. I actually think Chris and Reid could get on well, since they likely don't buy into unnecessary small talk, but Chris also won't go out of his way to embarrass Reid, or fluster him. He's a pretty low maintenance friend not interested in making Reid uncomfortable. Chris also likely argued - while Reid was practically throwing their games as seeker - that if the team relied on the fifty points from the snitch, then they've no right to call themselves the best team.
lol Diego. I feel bad for Diego. Because likely, Chris had no problem with him originally, but the harder he tries, the more Chris will likely dislike him. It's just a vicious cycle of the resting bitch face.
I also feel bad for Calvin and Chris probably doesn't like him much either, because he hates whiny kids. But he also hates bullying, so he's probably defended Calvin at some point too, even if it's against his own captain.
So, at least Chris likes Reid lol

And Sylla Borgin here is a weird creepy little Ebonhide junior on loan from Hogwarts, loves dueling, morbid humor, and brutal Quidditch matches. She'll be hanging around.

lol Sylla sounds lovely. But Chris is also a fan of brutal quidditch matches.

That being Sylvester, his new incredibly annoying captain. (Captain is new, being annoying is not new.) Chris and Sy have been on the team together for a couple of years, and Sy has probably made fun of him for having such a babyface, in that boys-giving-each-other-shit way. Possibly if they weren't both on the team, they wouldn't get along much? Sy is incredibly privileged, and an arrogant bully to boot, but he does work hard in Quidditch and he'd respect Chris for being a) a tough Beater and b) willing to argue with Sy. I'm going to guess they're not exactly buds, but by now Sy knows what Chris is about and he tolerates Chris telling him off better than he would from most people.
Ravi (
And Mina (

If he wasnt on the same team as Chris, Chris would prolly hate him lbr. But team sports tend to give birth to a special kind of camaraderie. So Chris has basically come to respect Sy for working hard too. But Chris is a grumpy guy and Sy is an asshole so they both have prolly come to accept that about each other. Chris won't be too much of a pain in the ass when it comes to the team, but Chris is probably a perpetual pain in the ass when it comes to Sy's bullying tendencies. But I'm sure deep down there's even a fondness for Sy inside of Chris. The kind of fondness you'd have toward a pet dragon or something.
I like Ravi and Chris does too so I'm totally down with friends. Bc he should have friends outside of quidditch. Chris also doesn't break a great deal of rules and wouldn't present Ravi with the temptation or peer pressure even if he did.
I can see Chris and Mina being fine with each other. even tho Chris has decided that he's gonna have the best senior project so Mina's just gonna have to deal with that. Go big or go home.

Pippa Nightingale (short bio here) might think Chris is cute but would be very intimidated by his grumpy face (and probably even more intimidated if he opens his mouth). I don't think there'll be much overlap between these two.
Henrietta Gray (short bio here) on the other hand is the new Azurcrest Quidditch captain so there'll obviously be some rivalry there (whether joking or serious), plus they both do Archery as well. Het would definitely call Chris Bambi.
Sorry this reply is so late, I've been super busy this last week!!

Pippa thinking Chris is cute and staying far away from him is exactly the kind of protection his mother is hoping his permanent scowl gives him. It's great.
But Chris doesn't do serious rivalry, even against beaters. His is half ass at best (I know, that's not the coppertail way). But he also shares about four classes with Het this year and since they're in the same year, he'll actually probably answer to Bambi with her. Because - he hates it, but it's such a fitting name for the boy who doesn't age I swear. So despite her outgoing personality, I can see them getting along. Or probably inspite of it.
