Hello! I meant to do this much earlier but it's been a surprisingly busy week. :/
So my name is Kay (#2) and it's been a long time since I've done journal style RP! I used to do RPing on IJ yeeears ago (lots of my old apps and stuff is on @alienmice over there, it's pretty ancient. ^.^
So I have Malachi, a native New Yorker who comes from a very mixed background (father's side is completely muggle, mother's side is from a wizarding family originally based in South Korea). His wizarding half of the family aren't well known, his grandfather's got a small clinic in a wizarding only area of New York City, his grandmother teaches Charms in a wizarding school local to New York, and his mother's an analyst at MACUSA. His father's side of the family are actually very prominent in muggle New York society. They own a company that specializes mostly in Aerospace and Defense (something along the lines of Boeing or Lockheed Martin).
Malachi's a very ambitious person, he's kind of torn between trying to be both a wizard and live up to his father's family's legacy. Although he's good at any subject he actually tries (especially Transfiguration, because it's his personal goal to get into Animagus studies his junior year -- he will seek out people currently in the class, especially those who have successfully mastered their form, for advice and tips), the subject he has the most natural affinity for it hermeticism. He likes guns (so naturally he decided to join the archery club, though different from shooting a gun, it's a similar concept), he's neurotically neat and clean (sorry to other Sophomore Ebonhide boys), and otherwise he's pretty outgoing and confident. He loves basketball (he'll have some Knicks collectibles), so naturally he's going to have that same pride in his House when it comes to Quidditch. He hates heights, though, so playing was never in the cards for him.
His classes are: Charms, Herbology, Hermeticism, Outdoor Education, Potions, Transfiguration, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Magizoology
I'd love any and all kinds of plots and interactions!
