HOW THIS WORKS
- In preparation for going to Hogwarts for the game against their team, please sign up which of your characters will be going on the week long trip.
- You may have four characters go to Hogwarts, including Quidditch players and cheerleaders. This is so that everyone can have more elbow room during the plot.
- For this event, we can't accept any roommate requests because...
- You characters are going to be sorted into Hogwarts houses. It turns out that Hogwarts' guest wing has a nasty doxy infestation, and the best alternative is to simply allow the visiting students to stay in spare rooms in various House wings.
- The decision you make here is final. List one house only. It doesn't matter if your kid's a Slytherdor or a Ravenpuff, they can only stay in one house, so pick one house.
- However, it's very possible that one character will be chosen to be the first Hatstall in 46 years. If you think this should be your character, explain why they might stump the Sorting Hat.
- All other sortings will take three minutes or less. If we don't get a character who has a well-reasoned argument why their character would qualify, we might not pick anyone. Hatstalls are extremely rare!
- There will indeed be a sorting ceremony the day they arrive, and you'll have a chance to play out scenes/reactions. Students will quickly learn that Hogwarts cares waaaaaay more about their own inter-house rivalries than some little American school. You're a Slytherin before you're a Caopperwhatsit.
- You have until Saturday, May 3rd at 11:59 PM MT.
» PRE-SORTING: If your character is going to Hogwarts, please inform us which house they would be in: Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw or Slytherin. This will determine their roommates for the extended trip.

When exactly is this event taking place? I don't know if I'm just missing when it's posted or what, but I am very excited about just the Hatstall in particular and finding out who it might be. I feel I made a strong argument, but regardless of who it is, it'd be very cool for a Hogwarts guest to be the first to stump the hat in such a long time, so I hope someone gets picked.
And then there's drawing Basil in my house's colors. I doubt they'd get actual robes but I can still have fun. :)

Honestly, if a character actually died I'd cry too. I've spent two years feeling like a mother to 90+ bad children.

It really depends on the character if I'd cry or not. I've definitely set things up to make other people cry, but I'm perfectly content because of one reason or another. I think that's happened two times now? Both times dealing with an immortal lover losing their very mortal half.
I couldn't imagine if the entire school died though. I was in shock when I read that and with everything, I had no idea if it was a joke or serious. I'm glad it got cleared up.

I like the fact that I can draw because this was a gold mine. The sorting hat? Surprisingly hard to draw though.
