CONFERENCE APPROVALS
If you plan on having your character visited by family, you must fill out this form by Thursday, January 25. If you fail to do this, you can't have any family members show up at the event!
Feel free to use this post to plot and discuss amongst yourselves as well.
Please keep the following rules in mind:
Character:
House/Year:
Family: Who will be visiting your character? You can have up to three individual visitors. They must all be legally related to your character. At least one must be over 18.
Graduate Cameo?: Optional. Provide their name and DW journal. If you're going to request a graduate attend, they must be legally related to your character, and the connection must have been established during Year 1.
General Plan: What do you intend to happen? This needs only be a rough description. Remember, any major events must be discussed with mods on this post before you go forward with them.
Anything else?:
Feel free to use this post to plot and discuss amongst yourselves as well.
Please keep the following rules in mind:
- You may have up to three individuals visit your character.
- They must all be legally related to your character. Parents, legal guardians, siblings, aunts, uncles, grandparents, step-parents and step-siblings are all allowed. Family friends are not.
- They will be staying two nights at Gooseberry. Each family unit gets one room to share.
- Siblings don't need to both fill this out, but you may for plotting purposes.
- You may request graduates to cameo, assuming they're related to your character. Ask the person who played the graduate last year before you fill out the form.
- Graduates who cameo will be temporarily added back into the comm so they may participate in any IC/OOCs during their stay. HOWEVER, they may not comment on any journal entries.
- Your characters' family will receive feedback from all of their teachers... but we're not going to write it out. If you have any specific questions or needs about a teacher's input, we'll try to help you.
- A mod will comment to you, giving you approval or asking for adjustments or clarification.
- Things you will need mod involvement for, in order to account for NPC reactions and pacing:
- Injuries or other health emergencies.
- Any rule breaking by family members.
- Incidents of abuse.
- Violent or especially loud arguments that might raise the concern of staff.

Anything else?:
Gwen
House/Year: Ribbonfin Senior
Family: Gwen's mother, Judith, and her grandmother Mary
Graduate Cameo?: None
General Plan: Since Gwen is a very respectable student, this is really just going through the motions for her mother. Judith Popplestone is a stunningly beautiful woman who does not look like a farmer's wife, so Gwen expects that most people will mistake her mom for someone else's mom (as in years past). Gwen is a little disappointed her father isn't going to make it this year, since he would understand her artificing project that she's so proud of; her mother will nod and pretend to get it and say it's very nice. On the other hand, Gwen's grandmother Mary is a No-Maj, and Gwen specifically asked if she could come this year before Gwen graduated so that she could show her all the neat things at wizarding school. Most of the time will be Gwen and Grandma Mary sneaking off to check stuff out, while her mother talks to teachers and such.
Anything else?: If Grandma Mary sees a ghost, it will hands down make her year.
