CHARACTER INTRODUCTIONS & PLOTTING

Hello everyone, and welcome (back) to Gooseberry! We still have a couple weeks until the actual game opens, but we anticipate a lot of new characters joining us.

RULES

So the OOC comm isn't flooded with dozens of new introduction posts, please introduce your new characters here!

Remember to put your character's name in the subject line!

You can say as much or as little as you like. Consider hitting the basics like, house, classes, clubs and year, then describe their personality and interests briefly. Mention what kinds of storylines you want (friends, enemies, etc.) and get to plotting!

Then go around and reply to other peoples' introductions, establishing lines and relationships.

If you have some plot you'd like to talk to people about that involves a returning character, comment here explaining what you're planning!

Be courteous and limit yourself to only one medium/small gif or image! We don't have cuts here, so be kind to your friends who might be on mobile.

Cameron is also loud and straddles the line between irritating and endearing, and they're in drama together. They might get along!

I know Veritaserum meme isn't canon, but Fern and Spencer seem to get along p well. Even if he's sometimes a bit much, he's into bantering and doesn't get to upset at the kinds of stuff she says. Also, she likes his wardrobe.

• This character concept took an abrupt turn between leaving for vacation and coming back from vacation - and is now brought to you by my original idea plus three girls between the ages of 4-8 and their very firm opinions that Moana should go to magic school. And she should have 'one of those' aka the gigantic crow staring at our waffle fries. (I tragically did not get a picture of him. But he was hungry.)
• So Iggy's from Hawaii - specifically Ni'ihau. Which is a privately owned island that I have now dumped a magic school and an Auror-Training program onto. Congratulations, Hawaii. I'm sure this is exactly what you wanted.
• Her family is famous and successful and this is a lot of pressure and she has no idea what she wants to do with her life. (Which, duh kid. You're 15. Relax.)
• Her great-grandmother is a famous jazz singer, her grandfather runs said Auror-Training program (and has one eyeball and is a hardass that makes baby Aurors cry), and her mother is an actress. (They don't talk much.)
• She is really good at kicking the shit out of people. She doesn't go out of her way to kick the shit out of people. But she can. She'll show you!
• She's freaking cold.
• Also: Her PB has dated Todd's PB. Thanks, Google!

so! she and cor share A NUMBER of classes as well as choir and D&F! and they're both singers who play the guitar and can be single-minded, aaaaand cor would think that her scrappiness is just the coolest thing. friends?

kurt has a lot of questions about her crow and he wants to be its bff. as her senior prefect he's going to try and concern himself with Antigone's Well-Being but how well they get along might be best found out IC, unless you have ideas?

she barely overlaps with casey and paige and that's probably for the best, on both accounts.

YES, PLEASE. Iggy will teach you how to punch somebody the right way. But then also discuss why it's very important not to punch people unless you have a real reason. And why 'because' isn't an real reason. Also, they don't get much TV on her island, so you are safe from another person knowing who you are, Corrigan!

Are you willing to feed him? Then Po is interested and willing to invade your personal space. And figuring out the rest as we go is totally cool with me!

She and Nisha don't have a lot of overlap in classes or clubs but I will find reasons to bug her. C:

Nia is in music and choir and she loves all these baby singers. As a huge music dork, she miiiight be familiar with Antigone's grandmother. And if so would be very YOU HAVE THE BLOOD OF LEGENDS!!!

Yancey is a senior fin and you already have to deal with Lucas enough.

Iggy's going to accidentally teach the Sophomore girls how to be even more dangerous and life-threatening. And her gradmother was a Pretty Big Deal, yes. Though - nah, she's got regular blood it's totally cool and fine and internal and not legendary in any way.

She was definitely a 'family happened first' sort of character.

If she doesn't end up on an island, he'll show up for an intensive class. And she'll have to deal with his scowly, one-eyeballed self. Though he'd probably like her. She's purposeful.

I feel like being tall and boisterous and southern is enough of a reason for Cameron to try to befriend him. Prepare for possible unsolicited advice about how to kiss smol girls.

I am also greatly amused by his interactions with Fern so far. Grumpy kitten and enthusiastic puppy.

Extracurriculars: Choir, Boating, Gardening girl band The Heretics (with Tally and Marie)

-Yes, she is Addy's little sister. THIS IS A HUGE BENEFIT TO HER, IT DESERVES IT'S OWN POINT. Yes.
-She is definitely a follower/supporting role type person. Really, she will go along with nearly anything.
-She is shy and prefers to stand back and observe rather than have the spotlight. Yes, she realizes this conflicts directly with her love of music and being in the band.
-It's mostly Tally steering that ship anyway ;)
-She is kind, generous, humble, and definitely soft
-Often presents as that gentle southern belle type. Her mom loves this about her because she wanted her daughters to be well-behaved and classy ladies.
-Loves swimming and surfing. Like a lot. Will swim every morning before class until it's too cold to.
-Wants to be more of a main character rather than the sidekick.
-Has no idea how to not be a sidekick.
-Was the freshman who pathetically stalked poor Casper last year. You probably don't know this unless she told you (and she didn't tell anyone except maybe Tally and Marie)
-Is in a girl band with Tally Prince and Marie Patterson. Has a wicked singing voice.
-She is entirely unsure about sexuality and relationships and love. Honestly, she's so shy she doesn't know how to even fix that?
-LOVES books. Seriously. Reads all the time, and has a hard time getting her head out of stories.
-Writes (mostly song lyrics, but stories also)

NEEDS: FRIENDS. Fellow Book Lovers. Music People! More normal crushes?. Did I mention friends??? I'm down for anything here, throw ideas at me, especially if they're bad influences.

He's going to be jumping in with her in abouuuuut one week. Riley and Casey will be good influences I'm sure.

Spencer will be mad about it for a few days but he just doesn't have it in him to make his 38 best friends choose sides. :( So I'm sure they'll get along fine even if Micah and Spencer keep grousing at one another.

Dinah is cool!!! So creative!!! She can keep him up to date on the twists and turns of the Dinah Danger canon.
