SENIOR GOODBYE PROCESS

As a punishment for those naughty arguing seniors, it's time to discuss the unfortunate process of retiring our eldest children. We figured we’d get this out of the way early so everyone could prepare. Here’s a quick rundown of what’s going to happen, and what to remember in the future.

• The game will close to prepare for Year 2 on August 1. The IC community will be locked to new posts. ICly, we’ll say this happens to the journals every year as the school processes new students. They’ll activate again on Friday September 1, the day the buses arrive to whisk your characters back to school.


• We’ll be posting the "Where Are They Now" meme on the July 7 (a planning meme where you can discuss with everyone what your characters have been up to), and the Ten Year Reunion IC/OOC will be up on the July 10. You’ll have the rest of the month to play in it and create your own post-grad IC/OOCs.


• Some time after that, we’ll release the Year 2 cast list, but we’re not here to talk about that.


• Only seniors and juniors/sophomores they married or are engaged to are allowed to post in the reunion IC/OOC.


• The reunion will be considered only semi-canon. This is to say that if you play a former junior or sophomore in attendance, you don’t have to make sure they stay on the same career path, married the same person, etc.


• All journals belonging to senior characters will be removed from the communities on August 1. Please make sure you have everything with your seniors wrapped up by then. We know, we know, this is sad, but it’s also a lot cleaner and will free everyone of the temptation to comment with their seniors.


• This is because all seniors are out of the game, no exceptions. We just think it’ll be less confusion, juuuust in case people start using loopholes like playing them in memes, sending tons of owls with them, etc. Let your kids grow up and move on.


• If you want to have your seniors send someone an owl or gift during Year 2, email it to the player of the character for them to post.


• There is currently no official decision on whether or not seniors can make cameos at IC/OOCs during school breaks. We won’t answer questions about that. What are you losers doing hanging out at high school parties anyway???
