HEAD GIRL/BOY

Due to some shifting factors, we are still debating the assignment of Head Girl and Head Boy. We've decided to open up petitions to every junior student, including non-prefects. When filling out the petition for these spots, please keep a few things in mind:

Nothing is guaranteed. No one is a shoo-in. We may still have Mackenzie Prince become Head Girl, as we need at least one mod playing a senior prefect. (Preferably Meggie, as she's the more active of us two.) This is to help us weigh our options.

There are both IC and OOC factors to be considered in this choice, and it won't be made lightly.

Prefects get preference. Non-prefects are much less likely to be chosen.

Quidditch and cheer captains are automatically out of the running unless you consent to relinquishing their captaincy in exchange for Head Girl/Boy.

If you already talked to us about this in the last Y2 post, we do kindly request you resubmit your explanations to this post. You can just copy-paste from the earlier petition.

These don't need to be essays, but think carefully about your answers.

What will they be like as Head Girl/Boy?: Explain to us a little about how they would react, what they would be like, how it serves their arc, how they would handle conflict and rule enforcement, etc.

CLUB PRESIDENTS

Yeah, it's time for presidential petitions! When filling out a petition for these spots, please keep in mind a few things:

There are both IC and OOC factors to be considered in each choice, and it won't be made lightly.

We don't feel any need to fill these immediately. If no one suitable applies, we'll leave it open for someone to apply into with a new character.

Prefects, captains and teachers' assistants may not apply to be a club president unless they're willing to give up their other position.

Juniors and seniors are more likely to be chosen for clubs with a lot of responsibility or risk, like Event Committee or Duelling.

Your character needs to have been in the club for at least a year, be a decent student, and not get into too much trouble.

These spots should function a little like Quidditch captains, but for events. Club presidents influence the plot calendar, and they'll get to guide the direction of the club (within reason). For instance, a Duelling club president might be able to instate rankings or a quarterly tournament. The mods will expect you to help a little with organizing complex events, however, since our time is limited.

TEACHERS' ASSISTANTS

Your character will work closely with one of the teachers and will help them during their spare time. They'll learn advanced material and receive personal guidance in the subject in question.

Prefects, captains and club presidents may not apply to be a TA unless they're willing to give up their other position.

TAs will periodically get plot calendar events, and will assist their specified teacher during events they host.

The TA is generally assumed to be the "best" student in the subject their teacher teaches.

Your character must be a good student and have a notable interest in the subject. Teacher personality determines how many behavioral issues they're willing to tolerate. For instance, Mr. Thorn and Ms. Lilywhite will expect impeccable behavior in and out of class. Mr. Merrill and Mr. Calderon-Boot will be a little more forgiving.
