WE'RE SAVED!

Hey guys! We're going to start seeing people rescued from their dreams preeeetty soon, which is exciting, of course, but also poses some problems and questions. Here are our thoughts and notes:

• With more characters being awake, please don't overload yourself! People will still be solving puzzles, and inactive characters can slow down rescuer threads dramatically.


• As such, if your character gets rescued and you don't want to have them participate in the game, there will be an option to have them wait in a safe space.
  • They can either be too weak or still asleep, and therefore unable to help even if they wanted to.
  
  
  • On their next teleport, they will then be safely taken to a location where they can be looked after and no one will need to fear for their safety.
• We highly recommend not having any more than three active rescuers at a time.


• We don't want to wake up any characters who you're not ready to have out and bout. So please reply below with a) if you're ready for a character to be rescued, b) who that would be.


• We can't guarantee sooner rescues just because you ask for it, since timing depends on how your rescuers are doing.


• If your group gets too large (6+) they're liable to get split up. If your group hits 8+, they will absolutely be split up.

Soooooo it's looking like Dimi might be very close to making serious progress, and this is me giving the thumbs up that I'm willing to have Calvin wake up and join him.

In which case I'd prefer for it to take until near the end for Neil, Diego and Rafael to be found. I don't really want to play them as still asleep or messed up because I think their rescuers would be Distressed, but I also doubt my ability to mod and keep up with 6 puzzle solvers.

WELL MAYBE NEIL CAN BE FOUND EARLY, since I think Anuhea, Faye and Sofia are sensible enough to not be super upset if he's out of it. What smart girls.

More edits: UNLESS LYSS, MANX AND JENNY HAVE STRONG FEELINGS ABOUT THIS. I've got a million ideas and I'm very flexible, so consider me here to make this fun for you guys. ♥

I am okay with either Sy or Micah getting rescued, but I will leave the timing of the Sy rescue up to Alex. The poor Spitfires are still fighting with entropy but if Micah gets saved sooner rather than later then that's great too!!!

Any of mine can be rescued whenever! I'll be leaving Ty and Lachlan in the too weak to participate/still asleep and can't participate category and I figure Quinn can carry a sleepy little squirrel around in her pocket (if Kas wants to) or they can both be dropped off in the safe space. I'm on the fence about Cole and might send him off to rescue if the sophs will have him. Decisions.

Save Riley whenever! She'll be punted off to a safe space, otherwise homegirl is gonna be some whiny ass dead weight.

Jeffy I would be okay with waiting a minute. He would want to be included in the MYSTERY SQUAD and I don't think I could handle three rescuers right now.

I would not be super upset if Jade got to wake up, tag along, and subsequently upset so many ghosts everyone votes to put her back to sleep.
She would be a bad rescuer, but she would TRY IT.
(This is just me spitballing and I may recant-I cannot decide if I'm scared of 3 rescuers or not)

Addy can be awakened whenever, but she'll probably stay out of it!

Clem, Ari, and Todd can be rescued whenever.

I'm most interested in playing Ari as a rescuer, I think? But I can figure that out later since I don't think any of my chars are close to getting saved lmao. Also if she's allowed to, Ivy might tap out after they find Laurel (unless Kay wants to play Laurel as a rescuer!)

Additional request: I would like for whoever gets woken up first to wake up half naked with nothing more than a bit of wood so they csn go on a dark souls style solo deprived speedrun and beat the hell out of some ghosts with a club. Can i do this?

If rescuers being woodsnapped is still a thing, that's fine with Cricket, though only if it's necessary/plot appropriate.

I am okay with whatever Roz decides for Ryan, but I kind of like the torment going on with Chris so. Ryan can wait a little longer. Or be found and join in that crazy crew. Or be found and go to the safe space all tired and weak lol

Vee I think should wait a little longer. I definitely do not want to throw her into rescuing/that bro mess ;D, so she would be in the state of 'unable to look/messed up' and I feel like that would distress the rescuers too much. But I'm open to ideas!

I definitely can't handle both of them rescuing. Honestly maybe neither of them but Ryan would want to help find Z when/if he woke up, so. lol

My next two days of work are looking rough, so I am not quite ready to bring Ursula in. Maybe sometime on Friday at the earliest.

I'd like to delay on Sun-mi as much as possible. I don't want 3 rescuers and if she gets rescued, I'll send her away.

Iiiiiiiidk. I wouldn't have minded playing one or two of them as rescuers maybe, but I have familial obligations every night this week and all day/night Saturday, so I guess they can either stay sleeping/go to safety land when they wake up, whichever works best for their rescuers? I don't think I can keep up with more than one while hiding in bathrooms.

I'm ready for Etta to be rescued whenever! She'd have a different mystery-solving style to Pippa which would be fun to play out, but whatever works re: timing is fine.

... Although I'm slightly concerned Etta may end up TRAPPED FOR ETERNITY if no one corrects Anuhea on how many times she caught the Snitch this year. ;)

ennis can be rescued whenever! he's gonna wanna hit the snooze button on the rescue because he prefers his dream though :^( would it be possible for him to help look after the weakened people in the safe place after he's rescued or is that complicating things? otherwise, i'd like him to tag along as a rescuer. he's easy to write for so i'm not worried about being overloaded with him.
