PLOT CALENDAR: March
As this is a drastically shortened month, please note we are limiting plot calendar spots to one per player, thank you!
March Madness Quidditch fever continues at Gooseberry, with its three exciting back-to-back games this month. Dominic Tremblay is working on a miniature Golden Snitch as an Artificing project, but oh no! It gets loose and escapes into the lodge, where it flies around classrooms all morning, until Sybilla Borgin jumps on a table and catches it out of the air.
Susana Velasquez is running late! Itβs past curfew, and itβs dark, and theyβre in a rush to get back to their cabin. But in the distance through the trees, they see two shadowy figures. Theyβreβ¦ hard to make out. They have antlers. Although theyβre not doing anything, the student gets the impression that theyβre arguing. Suddenly, they both look over at Ana in unison. Spooked, Ana runs the rest of the way home.

The journal blackout continues. Yesterday, Headmistress Bloom sent an owl to Martin Pratt to ask his help in fixing the journal network, but the school has yet to receive a response.

Passing by the Charms classroom just before dinner, Cole Moss hears loud voices within. Agent Larke is arguing with Mr. Calderon-Boot about the workings of his Anonymity Charm, and mentions that she believes one of the forest entities used it to infiltrate the dance. Dr. OβHare orders them to quiet down, and casts a Silencing Charm on the room, ending any eavesdropping.

QUIDDITCH GAME: Ebonhide v. Coppertale
- Leading up to the game, there are rumours all week that there will be Quidditch scouts present. That morning, Mr. Thorn confirms they wonβt be coming until next week, as the seniors interested in being scouted will already be playing then.

Students spot a strange young man arriving on campus, escorted in by Mr. Covington. He speaks to no one but the staff, and enters Ms. Bloomβs office. By the time he leavesβ¦ the journals are functioning again! Robin Youngblood literally bumps into him, and has a short conversation with the scatterbrained visitor who introduces himself as Martin Pratt, the inventor of the magical journals. Heβs nice, butβ¦ odd. He gives a barely comprehensible explanation about why the journals went down, and invites Robin to send him an owl if they have questions.

During school team practice, Christopher Park breaks their arm and hits their head falling off their broom, and has to be taken to the infirmary. Despite some speculation that they might get replaced by a reserve for Sundayβs game, theyβre fine by the next day, thanks to Healer Mufferaw.
Jaime Castillo discovers an unusual binder labeled DO NOT OPEN. Of course, they open it anyway, and discover that itβs full of sexy male pinup photos. Except... it looks like the owner cut out the faces of all the senior boys from the yearbook and crudely pasted them onto the bodies of glistening, muscular models. Maybe they shouldnβt have opened it after all.

MONTHLY BONDING ACTIVITY for all grades: Obstacle Course.
- Staff has created a complex and very fun looking obstacle course for all students who are physically capable to play with. On this day, they encourage all students to just give it one go! Cβmon, itβll be fun!
- But as is the way with Gooseberry, it becomes a competition between the four houses. This will be an RNG house vs. house game!

ANNUAL GOOSEBERRY HUNGER GAMES. Diego Morales was given the responsibility of carrying on the proud (?) tradition this year. The game that will take place over the course of the week, running from Saturday the 11th to Saturday the 18th. (You must be signed up by Friday the 10th to be included, because I canβt write in new participants!)
- This game has been played for the past three years at Gooseberry. Last year, the winner was Estella Morales-Tran, and the year before that was Leonardo Fiori. Meanwhile, Laurel Templeton has the unfortunate luck of having been killed on the first day for the last three years in a row, but this year theyβre going to turn things around! (Feel free to make up details about how the past two games went, but donβt godmode other characters.)
- On Monday, everyone will find a plastic knife thatβs been slid into their locker. The knife has the name of another participant written on it.
- You then have to βkillβ that person by prodding them gently with your knife. After they βdieβ, you then take their knife, and have to go after their target next.
- There are rules:
- You may not βkillβ someone while theyβre naked.
- You may not βkillβ someone in their cabin, the bathroom, the showers, during a Grotto party, or in the cafeteria.
- You may not βkillβ someone in front of a teacher. This is largely so that staff doesnβt catch onto this definitely reasonable and well-organized game created by sensible children.
- If you actually hurt the other person in your murder attempt, youβre out of the game. The person who was injured takes your knife, and itβll be as though they killed you. (This rule was written in by Diego because look, Ravi and Cecil, theyβre being so responsible!!!)
- Every day during that week, Diegoβs journal will post in the OOC comm with who will be βkilledβ today and by whom, with updates on everyoneβs new targets. Making references to playing the game, plotting or strategizing on the journals will increase your chances of winning.
- The winner is the last student standing, and the prize is 200 dragots and a bottle of vodka. Itβs Diego, so itβs nice vodka.
- SIGN UP HERE. If you want to participate, your character will be included in Diegoβs wards where he introduces the game. If you sign up, Diego takes your character as someone who will not ruin the game.
- While no one is going to get in real trouble, this game is clearly skirting the line and there may be IC consequences for wild behavior (i.e. hurting someone). However, merely participating in the game wonβt have any consequences.

Ms. Poe wants to make it perfectly clear that these wonβt be nude models, but they may be in their underthings. Seniors only, please, and the look in Poeβs eyes says youβre out if you turn this into a sex joke. Henrietta Gray, [Senior Student N] and [Senior Student O] all volunteer.

The Ides of March! Mr. Merrill dresses up as Caesar and puts on a show in the atrium during the lunch break, where Mr. Elmasry stabs him. Mr. Merrill bleeds ketchup and dies very dramatically. Heβs a terrible actor. They both are.
Chloe Shepherd gets sprayed with ketchup, which has a charm on it to make it MORE VIBRANT and therefore hard to get out. But the kind young potions teacher helps them out by lending them one of his shirts for the day, and giving them his written permission to be out of uniform. They get to see Mr. Elmasryβs room, and learns he makes ships in bottles, and has quite a talent for it. He gives Chloe one of his smaller creations.

β St. Patrickβs Day β Naturally, thereβs a Grotto party scheduled in the evening, with plenty of alcohol.
- There will be games of Spin the Bottle and Seven Minutes in Heaven. If your character would like to participate, SIGN UP HERE.
- At the end of the night, the heartiest drinker will be named King or Queen of St. Patrickβs Day. Thereβs a gaudy crown on the line, and the winner will be carried back to their cabin by the remaining drunken survivors at the end of the night. (Yes, theyβll probably be dropped at least once.) People who participated in the drinking games (and anyone else who wants to play along) are expected to refer to them as βYour Highnessβ for the next week and bow when they enter the room.
- In order to be crowned, your character will need to participate in drinking games! The more you participate, the higher your score is. However, the higher your score is, the more likely you are to pass out or vomit. Whoever has the highest score without passing out or puking wins!
- Last year, Levi Kramer was crowned King/Queen, and while being carried home, they were accidentally dumped in a stream.

Date, time of day, location: Tuesday March 14, before dinner, library
Description: During some quiet study time in the library, Sybilla Borgin finds herself with the focus and attention (and good - or bad - luck) to successfully make her first animagus transformation. However, this results in a small white cobra sitting in the chair where she was studying so pensively before. Shocked and embarrassed, she quickly transforms back and hurries to gather her things and sneak out, fearing someone may have seen. . .She leaves several items behind in her haste to evacuate.

Description: Cameron throws a beach themed birthday party. Everyone is invited!
no subject
Date, time of day, location: Tuesday (3/28) afternoon after DADA in the Lodge.
Description: Observant students may notice Ms. Rhee approach Casper, take him aside for a few words, and then leave with him. The conversation is quiet and seems to be serious. He isn't seen around campus for the rest of the day, including dinner, and doesn't show for Astronomy class either. Even his roommates don't know what's up initially.
This isn't so much an event as a thing to note if anyone cares to notice. Also, if anyone would like to be talking to Casper when Ms. Rhee comes along, let me know! Your character won't know more than anyone else, though.
