I'm not entirely sure where to post this?

BUT HEADS UP NOTE

For the next week, Chris is going to doing Wes's accent. This probably wasn't clear before, but Chris is from Boston, so his natural accent is very similar to like ... the Departed. It's not super thick, but it's noticeable. So for the next week, he's gonna be doing a southern accent, and since he's been living with Wes for three years, it's actually gonna be a pretty good take on the southern accent, and it will be nonstop. He is determined to not break character, regardless of the event, or the time of day. He's taking this very seriously, so it's not gonna be mocking Wes, and he's not gonna acknowledge this random change in accent. And he's gonna take advantage of using that weird play on language that Wes uses naturally, because Boston people don't get to say shit like 'bless your heart' so he's gonna enjoy that.

BUT also, if anybody wants to share a scene with Chris during this week, I am totally open to that. Because I need to scene more. And I'm sorry Chris is being such an asshole about the rule change >_> He's just a bit of a dick. So this is a heads up so your IC knowledge matches your OOC knowledge but also an ardent invitation for scenes :)

are you guys face blind?

(this sounds like a bitchy question but i am fascinated by the concept of face blindness so it's really a question of love)

Iiiiii don't think so? but I do have an extraordinary amount of trouble connecting faces and names. I have a small laundry list of issues with face-to-face social interaction that play into this though, so honestly who knows~

I have the worst social anxiety and it is surprisingly unhelped by being able to remember every face, ever, and pair a name with it a good 85% of the time even if I've only met the person once. I CAN NEVER TELL IF IT'S WEIRD IF I GREET A PERSON BY NAME OR IF IT'S WEIRD IF I DON'T? ...sorry i'll go play the world's tiniest violin elsewhere, i just have a hard time fathoming not being able to Do Faces so it really interests me when people can't?

my aunt claims i am, but she had also just finished watching that final season of arrested development where marky bark has face blindness. she is probably 50% kidding when she presses it. but for reals, i think that people who are actually face-blind have a much, much, much more difficult time than i could ever fathom.

that being said, i really suck at faces. i mix people up a lot. celebrities are annoying unless i have seen them PBed in which case they're glued in my mind forever. EVERYBODY LOOKS THE SAME, ALL THE TIME, ALWAYS.

I am like the opposite of this, I am always the first person to shout "HEY, IT'S [PERSON] FROM [SOMETHING ELSE ENTIRELY]." even if they're twenty years older/look totally different/are dressed like an alien or something. Or, Trent will be like "Hey, it's [person]!" and I will be like PSHAW, NO, THEY LOOK NOTHING ALIKE AT ALL!

I'm really good with faces irl too BUT SO BAD WITH NAMES. Hello, person I've met before but idk from where or how long ago or who you are! Let me awkwardly stare lingeringly at you while I try to puzzle it out!

I'm convinced I am! I mean, maybe not the most extreme version of it, but I actually went up to a woman in the street thinking she was my own mother, this can't be normal. But yeah movies are THE WORST, I'm constantly asking, "Who's that dude? Is he the same one as before?" It's slightly easier with women because of the wider range of hairstyles, but all those generic Hollywood male leads just look like one amorphous blob.

So basically, if you ever want to confuse me, all you have to do is put on a pair of glasses and I'll be like WAIT WHO ARE YOU?
