Some head's up on things that are coming next month:

• In December, Animagus Studies students will start being rolled for the chance to transform. Two students will be chosen per month. Seniors are twice as likely to be rolled as Juniors (sorry, they've been at this longer). Once your character can transform, use that ability responsibly. Ms. Rhee isn't training criminals!


• After November's Activity Check, fifth characters will be allowed. Yes, you heard that right! But there are going to be some heavy requirements, since the cast list is so limited. Here's a tentative rundown of what we're expecting so that everyone can prepare. These rules may be subject to change, so don't take them as gospel.


• In order to qualify, you'll need to provide three pieces of activity per character, rather than just the standard two. You will be allowed to use two examples of notes/gifts, comment threads and IC/OOC scenes instead of just one. These increased activity requirements will be permanent so long as you have five characters.


• You may not have a single strike on your activity with any of your four characters for three months straight.


• You must submit a petition to the mods explaining your character concept. We're going to be extra hard on things like overlap and special roles (prefects, captains, quidditch players, muggleborns/purebloods), especially if this is your second character for any of the above types.


• If you are waiting on us for a mod response in the Dropbox or IC/OOC or for your app or whatever, just know that we're delayed because of WORK THINGS but we will attempt to get back to you sometime today.


• If you play a Coppertale and you have not yet posted to the Snowball Fight, do it now. PLEASE. RAF AND SY CAN'T HANDLE THIS LOSS. NO ONE IN THIS HOUSE CAN HANDLE LOSING. You have until midnight tonight!

Hey guys! I'm Rin, friend of Katie :) I've got little Miss Hazel here and a certain Guthrie who I'll intro later! I'm new to the game but have been in and out of various forms of RP for a really long time (~15 years, yikes), so I'll do my best! I'm an adult-type person who is a software developer in Chicago, but originally from the San Francisco Bay Area with a rather long respite in Texas. I have a cat named Rowan and I'm a huge freaking nerd (surprise). I can be a little shy but please don't let that deter you!

A bit about Hazel, who is a crazy pants:
+ Copptertale Sophomore
+ Final member of the cheer squad for Coppertale (GOTTA GET THOSE QUIDDITCH WINS IN, GUYS)
+ Total sports fanatic, including American football, because who doesn't like those tight pants?
+ She yells all the time and is crazy competitive and a bit of a rascal
+ Pushing boys out of trees totally = flirting
+ Her mom is a nurse so despite being a little rambunctious she's way into healing/potions and works hard in those classes
+ Her dad is a retired Qudditch coach and has given her his colorful vocabulary when cheering
+ She wants to climb all the trees and maybe be in the woods all the time
+ She wants to be your friend but will also make fun of you

Time to go throw some snowballs ;)

Annnnd it's Rin again! I thought it would be a really great idea to app two characters at once into a new game while traveling both weekends! It's worked out ok though :)

This is Asher! Some key points about him include:
+ Senior Ribbonfin
+ He has a near eidetic memory so he is creepy good at remembering stuff; but he's also just a nerd so a good student
+ His mom runs a big fancy cosmetics company for both magical and non-magical peeps called Crystal Cosmetics
+ His dad is a Muggle TV news anchor in NYC
+ He is writing a school newsletter all on his own! Please let me know if you'd like to include anything in it (I'm still working out how I want the publishing mechanics to go). I heard a certain someone might be good at an advice column ;)
+ He totally did a family newsletter when he was a little kid called The Guthrie Gazette so if you can somehow find this out and make fun of him that would be great
+ He's really great at karaoke
+ He's Aiden's older brother - sorry for leaving Aiden out in the cold to pick up his loser big brother!
+ He is a little sad about a break-up right now :( but he'll be ok
