MEME: WHERE ARE THEY NOW?

HOW THIS WORKS

In preparation for the 10 Year Reunion next weekend, this meme is for you guys to plot out exactly what happened over the past decade.

Post your responses to the first header, but plot under the second so people can edit their responses!

Be considerate and mildly realistic while plotting! Obviously, we all want our babies to be successful, but the MACUSA president isn't going to be a 25 year old, and your junior Auror did not kill a dozen Dark Wizards singlehandedly to rescue Snoop Crupp.

What happened after Gooseberry closed?:
- Gooseberry Alternative High School was officially shut down, and remained abandoned for two years.
- It was then reopened as the Merrill Memorial Research Institute, which is a facility dedicated to studying the surrounding area and funding unique projects for the betterment of the magical world. It attracts many brilliant minds, and Mrs. Bloom is constantly flooded by applicants seeking funding and research space.
- Yes, you may say one of your nerds is employed there now.
- There's housing available inside the lodge where classrooms have been converted to labs and office spaces, but nature has reclaimed the campsites. However, plenty of employees Apparate into work instead, because not everyone wants to live in the middle of the woods.
- Despite all these years of studying the unusual forest, no one is certain what makes it so strange. There are rare sightings of a white moose, but no one can confirm its existence, much less whether or not it's the same moose as before.
- The school is definitely still littered with ghosts, though, and there's a dedicated ghost research wing.
- Ms. Lilywhite and Ms. Vector reside there as research staff. They are rumored to be a couple, but are both very private women, so don't try asking them about it.
- Mr. Elmasry and Dr. Perry are engaged and currently reside in Washington, D.C.

Occupation: Journalist, soon-to-be owner of his very own paper. Occasional Instagram-famous cat.
Residence: San Diego, CA
Personal life: Recently married to Casper Kim in a very unromantic courthouse affair. Realized after the fact that they probably should've told their friends, and now is too embarrassed to do so. He doesn't want Ravi to kill him. At least he got them rings? Childless, but still has his darling cat Bridgette and Casper's snake, Nell.
After Gooseberry closed: Already free from hell school!
After graduation: He spent this past year screwing around in New York with his Ribbonfin roommate Zav, writing the odd article here and there and becoming an Instagram famous cat. Once Casper graduated, he moved to Nevada to live near him while he attended Auror training. He finally began working on writing in earnest, and started getting published fairly frequently in both Muggle and Wizarding papers for his investigative pieces, especially.
Now as an adult: Living his best life in San Diego in a nice beach house with Casper, trying not to worry too much that his husband (still not used to calling him that) is doing insanely dangerous work. He's currently got a staff writing position on a local newspaper, but is putting the finishing touches on his own paper, which will publish both a Wizarding and Muggle edition (the latter of which is online, he knows print is dying, sigh). He has a strong interest in human rights stories and sniffing out corruption, and trying to improve visibility of these things. Also, definitely wants to have a section in the Wizarding edition that valiantly tries to explain Muggle things.
