- What happened after Gooseberry closed?:
- Gooseberry Alternative High School was officially shut down, and remained abandoned for two years.
- It was then reopened as the Merrill Memorial Research Institute, which is a facility dedicated to studying the surrounding area and funding unique projects for the betterment of the magical world. It attracts many brilliant minds, and Mrs. Bloom is constantly flooded by applicants seeking funding and research space.
- Yes, you may say one of your nerds is employed there now.
- There's housing available inside the lodge where classrooms have been converted to labs and office spaces, but nature has reclaimed the campsites. However, plenty of employees Apparate into work instead, because not everyone wants to live in the middle of the woods.
- Despite all these years of studying the unusual forest, no one is certain what makes it so strange. There are rare sightings of a white moose, but no one can confirm its existence, much less whether or not it's the same moose as before.
- The school is definitely still littered with ghosts, though, and there's a dedicated ghost research wing.
- Ms. Lilywhite and Ms. Vector reside there as research staff. They are rumored to be a couple, but are both very private women, so don't try asking them about it.
- Mr. Elmasry and Dr. Perry are engaged and currently reside in Washington, D.C.

i actually have NO IDEA what ruby's future is???? i had ideas at the start of the year but now i'm like oh idk if she'd be happy as a pro figure skater so it's possible she's doing something different now :|a

oh my god their early 20's are going to be a disaster kdjhfk. I THINK that ruby did work at skating for several years since she's put so much time in it already but ultimately never got that olympic medal..... I DON'T KNOW maybe i should be nicer to her
but she probably took a break from skating a year or two ago? and she and madison could've been living together while madison went to healer school?? i don't know what they're up to now

i'm leaning toward mads being like a barista, but alsooooo possibly a kids cheer coach on the side? and maybe considering being phys ed at a wizarding school thru her parent's Connections eventually
