HOW THIS WORKS

• In preparation for the 10 Year Reunion next weekend, this meme is for you guys to plot out exactly what happened over the past decade.

• Be considerate and mildly realistic while plotting! Obviously, we all want our babies to be successful, but the MACUSA president isn't going to be a 25 year old, and your junior Auror did not kill a dozen Dark Wizards singlehandedly to rescue Snoop Crupp.


• What happened after Gooseberry closed?:
  • Gooseberry Alternative High School was officially shut down, and remained abandoned for two years.
  
  
  • It was then reopened as the Merrill Memorial Research Institute, which is a facility dedicated to studying the surrounding area and funding unique projects for the betterment of the magical world. It attracts many brilliant minds, and Mrs. Bloom is constantly flooded by applicants seeking funding and research space.
  
  
  • Yes, you may say one of your nerds is employed there now.
  
  
  • There's housing available inside the lodge where classrooms have been converted to labs and office spaces, but nature has reclaimed the campsites. However, plenty of employees Apparate into work instead, because not everyone wants to live in the middle of the woods.
  
  
  • Despite all these years of studying the unusual forest, no one is certain what makes it so strange. There are rare sightings of a white moose, but no one can confirm its existence, much less whether or not it's the same moose as before.
  
  
  • The school is definitely still littered with ghosts, though, and there's a dedicated ghost research wing.
  
  
  • Ms. Lilywhite and Ms. Vector reside there as research staff. They are rumored to be a couple, but are both very private women, so don't try asking them about it.
  
  
  • Mr. Elmasry and Dr. Perry are engaged and currently reside in Washington, D.C.

Name: Dinah Dayo Dixon-Winterbottom
Age: 26 years old
Occupation: Self-published comic artist and owner of DANGER DIVES, where she leads scuba diving trips and whatever.
Residence: San Jose, CA, or somewhere thereabouts.
Personal life: Married to Clayton Winterbottom. Sorry Chad’s current stepmom, Dinah’s been working on this one for a while, and they got married when she was 23. No kids, Dinah just has one beautiful stepson, who she once got trapped in a burning building and has very special blood. If Chad ever has a problem with a boss or something I hope Dinah puts curlers in her hair and storms in there to go yell at them for messing with her boy.
After Gooseberry closed: Dinah went to Ilvermorny! It was actually really hard for Dinah to decide because she missed being close to home, but she didn’t make friends in her schools in BC so she trailed after her best buddies to Ilvermorny. It’s very possible she also burned something down while she was there, and there’s a reason my girl is supposed to stay on the water, she is flammable.
After graduation: She had a veritable fuckton of DINAH DANGER comics that were just collecting dust in her bags, so she probably started to find a way to publish them. Maybe did some webcomic stuff, or worked with some of those magic tech bros in Silicon Valley to get her Fun Night at Gooseberry turned into a magic video game. The world is my baby child’s oyster.
Now as an adult: Does whatever the fuck she wants. Skateboards everywhere, probably shaved her head at some point, it’s a good life.
