END GAME: SACRIFICES MEME

SACRIFICES
Endgame is fast approaching, and this meme will be used as an official reference with NPC mods to steer the course of your experience. Please be honest and decisive!
» RESPONSES: Post your forms here! We all want to know how you plan on creatively torturing your characters.
» PLOTTING: Please make a comment here after you fill out your form so you can plot with your friends.

HOW THIS WORKS
- During endgame, characters will periodically be faced with a choice: sacrifice something dear to them in order to get closer to saving their friends, or refuse and remain where they are.
- These sacrifices will vary from character to character, and can range from the conceptual to the material. What happens will also depend on the NPC mod running the encounter. We want players to have some input on the course their adventure will take, so please make sure to fill this out for all characters that will be participating. Prioritize filling this out for characters you think you want to make rescuers first.
- There will be a section for forms. Don't reply to the forms directly for plotting so that people can edit them. Instead...
- Make a plotting comment to the section below with a link to your form so you can talk things out with your fellow players.
- This is important because certain decisions you make will dramatically impact other players. Please be respectful and cooperate with them. If someone indicates that killing off your character would make theirs unplayable, try to compromise.
- Re: character death: You are limited to 2 character deaths, but you can have more than two opt-in for death if you're not sure which of your characters you want to kill off. You can let RNG decide, and the rest of your characters will be immune once you've hit two character deaths.
TYPES OF SACRIFICES: IDEAS, DO'S AND DO NOTS
Eye: Your character must sacrifice something mental/emotional. Hand: Your character must give up a physical possession. DO choose things that will challenge or even upset your characters! If you want to go hard, then go hard. If you want to play it more action-adventure, then do that! Have fun.
DON'T choose anything that would make your character unplayable, unless you want to remove them from play. If you remove their ability to walk, this will seriously hinder their progression. Likewise, if you choose to make them feel depressed, you might find you've written them into a corner.
DO plot with your friends! Seeing other characters suffering will have a big impact on the cast, so talk with people, build the story together.
DON'T make other people play things they don't want to. If your friend wants a lighter, less violent adventure, try to meet them halfway, or send your character into a different group that's interested in a darker tone.
- Heart: Your character must sacrifice something from your physical body.
- Loss of a sense/physical ability, e.g. sight, hearing, speech, use of right hand, colourblindness, the ability to say anyone’s name.
- Loss of actual body part, e.g. remove or damage an eye, ear, finger.
- Loss of years. They give up a certain amount of their lifespan, and age up by x years. (Only age up, do not age down.)
- Permanent change to physical appearance.
- Anything that affects the physical body.
- Loss of a sense/physical ability, e.g. sight, hearing, speech, use of right hand, colourblindness, the ability to say anyone’s name.
- Memories. It could be a specific memory (e.g. your favorite childhood memory, your first kiss, your best day ever spent with your best friends) or general (e.g. all memories of someone important to you, memories of your entire senior year, memories of every Quidditch game you’ve ever played).
- Knowledge/skills. Such as their ability to read and write, what they know about the mimics or the research they've done on the metaplot, how to duel, important spells, etc.
- Emotional effects, like being unable to hide their feelings, being cursed with despair, or losing the ability to lie.
- Anything that affects the mind or emotions.
- Their wand.
- Their journal. (If a journal is lost, then it can be used by a mimic!)
- Prized possessions, especially objects with sentimental value.
- Things that aren’t literal objects but still a prized achievement. For instance, a Quidditch player’s contract to play for a certain team after school, a high achiever’s entire record of excellent grades, etc.
Character Name:
Opt-in for Death: Yes/No. You can have as many as two of your characters "permanently" die. If you answer yes, your character may be killed in a random encounter or by a mimic. If you'd like to plan it in a particular way ("I really want Suzy to die at the hand of Amber's mimic." or "I want it to happen unexpectedly to shock their group") say so here. If you don't have plans, then it may come up in RNG.
Random Journal Loss: Yes/No/Ask me when it comes up. Would you be alright with your character possibly losing their journal? If so, you can play on the journal network as their mimic, but your character will no longer be able to participate in journal conversations.

It's much more likely to happen if you tell us here.
