Name: IT'S ARI

What do they look for in a person?: For all she's prickly and and cold, Ari is actually fairly... I don't wanna say lusty, but she's got a lot of pent-up feelings, and she crushes easily. Pretty much any girl who she finds to be an interesting challenge qualifies, but the definition of "challenge" is broad. She's always liked Jade, who exemplifies a lot of the things Ari admires in other people - she's unapologetic, and clever, and does things Ari would be afraid to do all the time. But anyone sufficiently witty or shy or outspoken... it's all intriguing to her. ~~she has a crush on EVERY GIRL~~

What do they find romantic?: Keeping secrets. Sharing clothes. Judging people behind their back. Inside jokes. Words of affection. Making fun of bad movies. Holding hands. Spending time alone. Lots of overlap with being best friends.

Who do they have a crush on?: So it's always been Jade for her. She's felt particularly close with Jade since they met, and harbored a long-time crush on her before they got together. But while she was trying to repress her clearly very serious feelings for Jade, she had crushes on lots of other girls: Kenzie, who she also maybe wants to be?; Charlotte, who's just mean and Ari think it's funny; Ruby, mostly because she's aggressive and off-limits and that's exciting???; Madison, after they danced together at the Masquerade and Ari later ID'd her via the photobooth photo; and then less serious things that haven't come up as much IC - like I imagine she's had lil crushes on Nia, Essie, Sofia, and Corrigan for varying reasons. She's a mess!

Are they seeing someone right now?: Dating Jade on the down-low. She's equal parts frustrated by the fact that she feels like she can't do the things she wants to do with Jade for fear of people knowing and... kinda into keeping the secret. It's a little fun? She loves lying? Sue her?

Really though, she just... fully adores Jade and she's uncharacteristically happy in this relationship. She wants to fully commit to it and tell people, but she's also not used to being happy and she's waiting for the rug to get pulled out from under her. It's all still very new, so hopefully as she settles into it she'll get more comfortable.

What are they like in a relationship?: A huge sap. It's a good thing her relationship with Jade is a secret because it's keeping her on a leash, romance-wise. If their relationship weren't a secret Ari would probably be handsier with Jade, but even as it is she touches her a lot. For the most part they've been good about not changing their behavior since they started dating, but Ari does fix Jade's hair in public a lot more than she used to. Besides that, she dotes. She likes getting gifts, but doesn't have a lot of money to buy gifts for other people, so she tries to make up for it with attentiveness. And writing. She's got a notebook full of poetry about Jade that she would defend with her life before she let anyone read it.

Anything else?: Last time I did this meme Ari wasn't gay yet and it's useless to me now. Except this. "LMAO. So. Ariadne's entire idea of what is and is not romantic is based on like, sappy historical romance novels. I'm talking handsome strangers and highland moors. I'm talking two people riding on one horse in the rain. I'm talking bodice-ripping." That's still true. It's just gay now.
