Name: Casper Kim
What do they look for in a person?: Getting close to Casper is difficult and typically only those that can tolerate his attitude, give as good as they get, and display a certain amount of resilience are up to the task. These are the only people he feels at all comfortable letting down his guard with and are, consequently, the people he's most likely be drawn to romantically as well. While he's sometimes attracted to softer or more sensitive people, hurting them unintentionally or trying not to hurt them unintentionally is a source of guilt and stress (especially after his relationship with Katya) that typically dooms such interest before too long. Apart from that, he's drawn to people with passion and direction because he finds such people more relatable and he can sometimes be drawn into caring about something just because they care about it so much. In particular, he's developed a special fondness for 'real' musicians after spending so much time around people that are passionate about music. He feels like an interloper since drumming doesn't mean the same thing to him that music means to them, but he still likes being part of that.

What do they find romantic?: ~~JFC I don't know.~~ Casper doesn't have a lot of use for romantic gestures. He doesn't want flowers or chocolates or compliments. He doesn't want to be wooed. For him, romantic moments are more about unspoken understandings, remembering the important moments and conversations that have happened between them, and being able to focus on just one other person for a while instead of all the shit that typically weighs him down. Because he spends so much of his time focused on what he should be doing rather than what he wants to do, though, showing an interest in things he actually enjoys and pushing him to share those things goes a long way too; take him to a loud punk concert and get drunk with him on the beach and it'll mean the world to him.

Who do they have a crush on?: Casper has had a number of near-miss crushes that he never allowed to develop into anything because he's so emotionally closed-off, focused on his obligations, and (in certain ways) self-critical. Among these are Nia, Kenzie, and Gwen. With the gradual realization that he's interested in guys as well as girls, though, shutting down his feelings has become more difficult to do. Particularly because of his close relationship with his roommates, one of which he's developed a crush on that he's yet to acknowledge. Hi Iliya. But don't worry. Mimic-Kenzie will take care of that!

Are they seeing someone right now?: Nope.

What are they like in a relationship?: In a relationship, Casper is a little more open and a little less guarded, but he's never going to be an open book or the most approachable guy in the world. He's just not capable of it. Still, such connections mean a lot to him and once he's made that first step into an actual relationship, he won't hesitate to acknowledge it and won't attempt to downplay what the relationship is. He isn't interested in playing that game. He's deeply loyal to and immensely protective of his partners but has a bad habit of attempting to push them away to protect them from his worst aspects, especially when things go bad elsewhere in his life. He needs to be handled with equal levels of empathy and force during such times to keep him from shutting the other person out 'for their own good'.
