-No he does not speak Actual German but he is Willing To Try For You
-He mad shreds on his ukelele. (He painted it himself, look at that alien sticker!)
-He grew up in a hippie commune in Hawaii and it was rad
-Max may, at some point (or even upon request), make up (is it really made up? u sure tho?) a fake (is it???) story about how he "fell" for your character, etc etc. very good for entertainment at Grotto Parties or encouraging a reluctant crush with some mild jealousy just in time for Valentine's Day idk DO WITH THIS WHAT YOU PLEASE

SO obviously he and Teddy are the Muscle Masters and they just spend all their time moving things for EC, it's like The Ebonhide Wall just comes over to lift all dem things for you. I just love that our cabin is complete, we are so good, yes we are.
I've also got Gwen here, she would probably be an easy mark who would listen to whatever harebrained ghost hunting idea he had and not know a polite way to excuse herself. And Juniper, who would be mad jealous at any piggybacking of any kind because she could get somewhere 2.3 times faster based on his size.

IF he gets along w/Ari he’s probably cool in Jade’s book. Which mostly means she’ll be VERY intrigued at his ghost hunting stuff. She scoured Diagon/Knockturn alley for ghost location/protection stuff over break. She will share her secrets if he wants but also will bully him into supporting Weird Morbid EC dance ideas even if he doesn’t want.
Ira’s also in his year! He honestly....wishes he was more of a hippie, or easy going, that’d fit with his vegan activist aesthetic in a much less abrasive way. They are not that overlappy but I’m sure he’ll talk at Max!
Tuesday is my only bear (sob) annnd she’s lowkey terrified of upperclassmen who aren’t in her Quidditch team so she’ll just be WEIRD over here

HE DOES get along with Ari and probably lowkey looks to her for affirmation that he is DOING WELL because Max is an actual puppy dog. Most of his ghost hunting stuff is branded MAX PENDERGAST ORIGINALS so obv trade secrets need to be exchanged. And that's cool--he supports originality!!

So, Calvin will be completely baffled by him, but he likes eccentrics, and he likes artists, so Max can probably win him over if he doesn't mind Calvin's prickly demeanor. He can only make it 75% through the endurance run.
Archie is a year below him in Ebonhide and he's endlessly curious, so everything about Max probably fascinates him. He'd listen to him talk about ghost hunting and hippies forever.
Spencer is a fellow junior, very outgoing and flirtatious. Very loud and kind of an idiot. He also has a lot of "Great" Ideas. I have a feeling that the ridiculousness will be through the roof if they talk, but either way Spencer gets along with most people.
Reid turns into a very large bird and likes to hang out in swan form for hours on end. Sorry, Max.
Kenzie haunts Enonhide to hang out with the senior boys, but probably won't interact with Max a ton!

Lucas haunts the junior bear cabins because of Bash. He is also friends with Ari, is another boy who mostly just lifts things in EC, they are both in Animagus Studies and have a few other classes overlapping so there's a lot of space to interact. Lucas doesn't do physical contact with people other than a few close friends so he might be overwhelmed by Max, but he gets along with most people.
Nia's a year above Max and as High Mama Bear will be the police at him if she catches him talking about ghost hunting. Mostly she's pretty chill though.
Yancey is LARP president so he's around for your larping needs. also another big carry stuff around EC boy who mostly just gets in Ursula's hair.

Essie is my junior and she is considers all juniors friends by default, so yay. She's also encountered a fair number of the ghosts and was interviewing people about them recently to help the Seance Crew kids get more information and I imagine Max will end up rolling in with them??? She.... is very quick to want to run off into the forest and was one of the key people pushing for the sophjuniors to hold their final seance last year, SO. As much as she says they aren't supposed to be LOOKING for ghosts anymore. Uhhhhh. YEAH.
Ursula is President of the Event Committee so if he's active in EC they will definitely be crossing paths. EC has a dropbox here if there's any serious events or fundraisers you want to push for. The months between Valentine's and Prom are kind of light, EC-wise, so there's definitely room for new ideas. :)
Aaaand Pear is a baby bear prefect so they will see each other for that, but she's pretty weird and just kind of does her thing so idk how much they'll overlap.

It feels REALLY GOOD to be playing a junior in the class of the forty besties again, tbh. And I've been wanting to do something with Essie for a while which doesn't consist of Miguel's secondhand embarrassment re: whatever the heck Essie and Quentin are doing with ninja stuff. And also because I ship Essie and Jeffy SUPER HARD and so does Max by extension. But yeah, I think Max is definitely going to end up rolling in with them if he doesn't actually end up starting the metaphorical katamari on his own...wow, let's torture that metaphor a little more yikes.
