I'm debating Calvin setting up a little NYE IC/OOC in Diagon Alley for our exchange students and their guests (or anyone else who can make it to London)! It's a bit of a stretch for him to organize but IT'D BE CUTE SO I WANT TO MAKE IT WORK.

I just wanted to get a feel for how interested people might be in this idea!

To have Sofia change into her animagus form. Does anyone want to find a black cat and assume it's someone's familiar? Could eventhink it's Sofia's since she'll look a lot like her cat hehehe

I am having a HELL of a time with my laptop charger lately and apparently storming around my apartment breaking things isn't fixing it???? so I'm kind of phone bound for now. i do a lot of rp on my phone by choice but when I'm forced to do it it's a chore because I'm an idiot.

if I'm phone bound for more than two days please kill me.

so if I disappear in two days it's because someone followed through on my polite request and killed me.

Would you guys be interested in the mods facilitating some actually anonymous connections at the dance? Rather than relying on RNG, the idea we have goes as follows:

The player submits to a screened post a short description of their character at the dance that does not give away their identity. For instance: "A smirking girl with elaborate hair is leaning against the wall, drinking punch. You haven't seen her dance with anyone all night, even though she clearly came dressed to impress."

When the dance is posted, we'll scatter these openers throughout the IC/OOC with the mod account. We'll reply to your screened post letting you know where your starter ended up.

Wait for people to respond to your character, and then reply with your own journal as normal to begin a scene.

Your submitted characters can otherwise post as normal wherever and however they want before and after their anonymous encounters.

Thoughts or suggestions on this system?

y'all might've already seen, but dreamwidth is having a special on gifted points.

when you buy points/paid time for another user (or an alt account) then you get 10% of that point value back to keep for yourself. i just tested it and it DOESN'T count if you gift paid time to another user using points you already own from a previous purchase. (ex. i just gifted charlotte 2 months/60 points from ennis who had 120 points saved up from a previous purchase, and i didn't get 6 points back from it.)

I'm home! Which means Kurt has now figured out the kind of spider Cole is and a photo has been added to the post (thanks Ennis!) for anyone that's curious. But also, warning, I guess? If you're not a spider person, there's now a big ol' spider under the cut!

For reference, these spiders are about 2 inches without the legs (about 5 inches with the legs; they have LONG legs!) and bright yellow. So. Hopefully recognizable enough that Cole doesn't have to die. ♥ Up to you guys.

Hi everyone, this is an early heads up that I'll be out of town with veeeeeery limited internet access this weekend. :( I have to go to Moab, actually, for a family emergency. i read on here somewhere that there's an extension that lets ppl view icons that were uploaded to photobucket???? can someone link me pls

when your account expires it makes all but 15 icons inactive, so if i want to upload a new one... i have to delete all but 14. WHY YOU DO THIS?
