NOTES!

• Your main directive is a single question: if Gooseberry was a TV show (or a series of easy reader novels), what would be listed on its TVTropes page?


• You can either include the little explanatory blurbs for each trope, or just summarize your character with a few tropes and no commentary if that's all too much brain-energy. I would personally love to hear all your meta-thoughts on your own characters, but also, real life sucks and we're all tired.


• This is probably going to be pretty formatting-lite, so I'm not offering a code to copy/paste. Sorry! Maybe use cute emoji as bullet points? That's my only suggestion.

Ulysses

was 100% designed to be a Royal Brat, but because i kind of suck, ended up sliding into Lonely Rich Kid. regardless, he's definitely Idle Rich, much to his own dismay, as the rest of his family is not. and speaking of family, ulysses was made for cricket (RIP), which is why he's both her foil and very clearly related to her.

it's All About Him which is probably why he's the Friend Nobody Likes. may also be because he's a fragile flower who's always Trying Not To Cry. fuck off! he's sensitive! also, he's an animal lover, because dear god, he needed some kind of Pet The Dog. his only other (arguably) redeeming quality is that he would do anything for his friends, whom he sees as his Blood Brothers. he even cares about clementine, sort of. functionally, The Jester and a Bad Angel, unless he's in a Mood or spending too much time with Kenzie. i could literally do this forever, guys, but i'm going to stop because i care about y'all.

ulysses is my Chew Toy, but for everyone else, he is absolutely and completely a Damsel Scrappy. no one else needs to write this much, i just felt compelled to drag myself to hell and back.
