• Realized Austin isn't The One because his feet are full of hookworms. He may or may not keep up with playing guitar, though, as he does tend to hold onto the hobbies he picks up from his crushes.
  
• He still doesn't feel bad he made you all kiss. THIS TIME DEFINITELY WASN'T HIS FAULT. He did get a little antsy thinking people were mad at him when he hadn't been expecting it, but no one yelled at him so he's calmed down.
  
• Todd&Cash are wonderful and he loves them.
  
• When the school trip comes around, I need to decide if Archie has to go home and disappear or if I need to recruit people to talk him into forging his father's signature. I HAVEN'T DECIDED YET.

Looking For:

• His next target! I'm largely going to let this happen ~organically~, but if you have a good idea pitch it to me. I think I'd prefer he mostly focus on upperclassmen, since it doesn't fit the dynamic of the sophs for him to turn his obsession on them.
  
• He's probably not going to pursue a date to the dance, but will show up to stare at whoever he's currently into. If someone wants to go as his friend, he'd be amenable to it. If Hero says it's ok.
  
• He also might pity bid on Hero with 5 dragots he probably stole from someone if no rich heiresses bid on him.
  
• He's way more enthused about who all his dozens of girl friends are going with than who he's going with, so if you want to Boy/Girl Talk with him he's Into It and has No Good Advice. Archie's your enabler.

• Surprise, Calvin's still a wreck. He has a lot of feelings, and he hates all of them. He's convinced his blooming affection for Micah will go away if he just waits it out, and now things with Cash are Weird and all those dry jokes about their lack of chemistry are pretty regrettable.
  
• He misses Dimi a lot and isn't sure how to connect to his friends who saw Real Horrors last year. He can tell it really changed them. He slept through most of it, and I guess eventually needs to ask Micah about his brother.
  
• Calvin has ended up being this very involved overachiever with tons of extracurriculars and a social life, plus he's an athlete and on track to becoming a Healer. He's a little ??? at this, but he's actually pretty happy in that regard. New Calvin looks very good on paper. You would never guess he has all this baggage.
  
• Incredibly nervous about the first Ribbonfin Quidditch game of the year. He wants to prove he belongs on the team sooo badly, AND that he deserves his VP spot in D&F. He's probably been a bit of a try hard teacher's pet in that regard, extremely eager and a little pushy in his effort to be Perfect.

Looking For:

• Target Practice. I keep meaning to make an IC/OOC for this but I just kind of spent the last week sleeping off my trip. BUT he's going to see if Ramon would like to enlist all their Junior friends into helping them by being moving targets! He'll invite Avery and Peyton too, of course. I'll be stealing Marin's system she used for Copperquid.
  
• Tomorrow or Tuesday he's going to GIVE IN and make a Boy Talk ward to Essie, Micah and Hazel (and others if you really want in on this???) ... because he wants to ask Todd to the dance. Don't worry, he's going to fuck it up. :')

• Casper is Stressed. He's been on guard ever since returning to school, making him even more bad-tempered and negative than usual as well as an even stricter, more responsible, more protective prefect. His roommates are likely feeling his need to control everything these days. While he can unwind some with his friends or when he's playing Quidditch (he's been putting a lot of time to work with the younger players, especially Corrigan) or playing music (Kenzie's recent efforts helped more than he'd expected), he's predictably surly and standoffish most of the time.
• The latest Amortentia incident, during which he kissed Casey, gave him one more thing to be angry about and he's going to have a hard time letting it go both because of the aforementioned control issues (he really doesn't like that he was dosed) and because it's Casey. And because Casey is actually a good kisser and GDI he hates his life. He's also concerned about his cabinmates in the aftermath, specifically Iliya and Cameron, but doesn't actually know what to do about that.
• Casper has no idea that some of his roommates think he's In Love with Ms. Rhee because of his new bear Patronus. But maybe he'll find out eventually. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU GUYS?
• He's still bent out of shape about Kenzie's attempts to set him up with Nia for a lot of reasons. Including the fact that he does have a few more-than-friends feelings for her and the idea of Nia going out with him as a favor to Kenzie isn't something he's prepared to deal with.
• He's currently planning to skip the dance and spend the evening patrolling and doing productive things instead. That could change.

Looking For: Nothing especially since he's got a bit on his plate right now. But I'm open to plotting.

Current State: Feelin' pretty good! The Amortentia thing was mortifying but Sofia didn't seem disgusted with him (plus he got to kiss a pretty girl???) and he finds the incident much more forgivable if a ghost is involved.

Having responsibility and people who rely on him has actually been really beneficial. There's a bit of added stress, but it's positive stress and it makes him feel more confident in himself.

He's still in "New Year, New Me!!" mode and trying to practice self-care and make positive changes to his life. More than ever, he's focused on improving his appearance and health. This year, he's joined both OE and LARP so he can get more exercise. Hiking and camping in OE is nostalgic and is a way for him to try to ~reconnect~ with his roots. He also bought a ton of new clothes and makeup this year, partly because he's finally wearing bolder clothes that are what he wants but mostly because he desperately wants to be perceived as attractive and desirable and thinks this is the way to do it instead of... y'know, actually working on his personality.

Looking For:

Kids to tutor in Divination? He has tutor hours, but is anyone actually going to them even if it's just to hang out?

Someone to tutor him in Astronomy/math. He's already gone to Lach for help but he doesn't want to burden him so he'll seek out multiple tutors.

Exercise buddies from his friends group! Alex, I think we mentioned something about him trying to run with Rosy?? But he'll eventually seek out people to take leisurely strolls with through the woods because holy shit, he cannot keep up with Rosy and it makes him feel like garbage.

• Spencer's good at projecting a lot of warmth and happiness but he's actually still pretty bummed about his breakup with Micah and kind of regrets it. It did a number on his self-esteem, and he feels like he's Too Much for anyone to date. He's not incorrect when he says he drove Micah away by being too needy and jealous. Marin and I didn't get to show a lot of it on-screen but Spencer was pretty suffocating.
  
• But Spencer's really good at being confident and charging in so... he'll be fine EVENTUALLY.
  
• Kissing Ira shook him up, though. He's going to stoooop flirting inappropriately with his friends, particularly Ira and Cash who he was pretty bold with. Lines were getting blurred, and Spencer can't honestly say what was joking and what was fishing. He feels incredibly guilty about it.

• going hard in the paint with cheer. treating it as seriously as captain sy treats quidditch, 50% because he's trying to be a good captain and 50% because he's really serious. wearing fox tails and ears at the first game might be the dumbest idea in the world, it's hard to tell, so somebody might want to talk him out of it.
• guess who kissed casper kim? guess who wants to do it again? guess who has a really, really, unbelievably dumb plan to succeed? this guy. the plan is currently "make him so pissed off that he'll kiss me again to shut me up." casey is a dumbass.
• he's trying to be a good dance dad to his good dance babies but, guys, it's so much work. :( and it's so easy to slip into bad habits. :(

• Hazel is "ok." She's obviously still wigged out about the lake, and while she's not really scared of Anon/Brother she is pretty freaked out still by the ordeal as a whole. And it makes her angry :( And she really wants to never talk about it again but it's hard not to, so it's just stressful and terrible and makes her get a little hostile sometimes :((
• She's also stressed out by the whole Micah and Spencer thing because she adores Micah and because she has house/cheer loyalties to Spencer
• And she's also just missing all her seniors horribly :(
• And she's mad about Casey cheer captain, even though she was expecting it.

So when I said Hazel is ok, I meant that she's stressed out and grumpy!! On the outside she's mostly her usual excitable self, but she definitely has a shorter fuse coming into this year and closer friends may notice her being subdued a little more often than she used to be.

Looking For: Open to anything~! Do you have a boy that wants to smooch someone? Hazel is your gal! Do you want to learn how to tumble? She's also good for that! At some point I'm going to start looking for someone for her to finally open up to about all of her stresses so she can actually admit she's kind of scared, but I assume that'll be more organic/someone she's already close with so we'll see?

• Cole is...mostly fine. A lot has changed since last year and he's still dealing with all of that (uncertainty about the entities and ghosts, feeling out of place in the junior class, lingering feelings for Calvin, etc.) by focusing on his art, which has made him a bit more of a loner than last year.
• Cole's detailed and active imagination hasn't been his friend with regard to all of the creepy incidents from last year. He thinks about those things frequently and, to help get them out of his head, he draws them. All of these drawings go into what I've affectionately dubbed his Sketchbook of Horrors. He generally doesn't let other people see this, though he's mentioned it to a few people, like Hazel.
• Cole isn't the most organized guy in the world, but he's trying Very Hard to run the Crafting Club well and is mostly succeeding with Ree's help. He's really enjoying the club so far and appreciates when his friends attend. He may find it harder to balance, though, as the year picks up and other obligations come up (especially those related to Drama Club).
• Cole decided that Zach was Very Nice last year after he took the time to talk to Cole during all of the seance drama last year and he wanted to get to know the other boy better. He has and the two were getting to be friends as this year started. Following the latest Amortentia incident, though, Cole's starting to think of Zach a little differently. Is this the Coralee Incident all over again? :( He doesn't know. Cole is going to be confused forever.
• Cole is Very Excited about Halloween because he loves costumes and wants to make something elaborate like he did last year. He's still trying to figure that out, though. He doesn't want to think about dates for the dance.

Looking For:

• Developing friendships (existing or new), mostly. There were some big shifts in Cole's relationships at the end of last year and going into this year and he doesn't seem to have a lot of close friends/people he talks to on the journals a lot anymore. So I'd like to focus on building some of those existing relationships or finding some other people he plays nicely with so I can use him more~
• I've been considering having Cole lose his Sketchbook of Horrors. If anyone would like to ruin their character's day and have an interesting conversation with Cole. SORRY.

On Wednesday she kissed Ari and discovered that she's capable of sexual/romantic attraction towards another person. But it was Ari, who ran away and it wasn't of her own volition in the first place. And BOY DOES JADE HATE ALL OF THIS. She has literally no idea how to responsibly cope with any of these confusing emotions, and has instead chosen the tried/true method of ignoring that it ever happened at all.

Being kidnapped messed her up! She's taking a lot of her classes more seriously, and also Duelling! She's bound to be obnoxiously protective of all her friends/ Juniors! Occlumency's helping, but not fast enough, and she's having to learn Patience and Emotional Moderation, and she's definitely not great at either of those things.

Discovering Star Wars was actually the highlight of her life, and I am not kidding when I say that she would now kill several people for Bash and Lucas. I'm very sorry.
Looking For:
PEOPLE WHO WILL SHOW HER MOVIES: She really does want to learn more about films and tv shows, and is newly aware of just how much she's missed out on as a pureblood. She'll probably be pestering all of her friends who are media savvy to show her things.
OCCLUMENCY SENIORS and DUELLING PARTNERS: Okay, so, I'd like her to eventually suck it up and ask someone to practice with her. She doesn't have a lot of other people in her class right now and always sits in on the seniors' class, anyway, but she's Very Serious about doing well. Same goes for duelling/fencing! She's a lot better as a dueller but would like more practice.
Anything Else: So I was randomly listening to this podcast about cults, and turns out Marshall Applewhite who founded Heaven's Gate was a nomadic child probably just looking for home, too, which really makes me feel like I'm doing this right.

• he's a prefect now (#RESPONSIBILITY) and feeling out the water, trying to figure out how to speak up without seeming confrontational. it's hard. he doesn't know if he should be on the journals all the time and tell people when jokes seem inappropriate. he's also like waffling between "no underclassmen have come to me with their problems, am i doing a bad job" and "oh good, phew."
• stuck between FAMILIAL EXPECTATIONS and DREAMS. there's a lot more pressure on him now than there was before to Succeed, which to his family doesn't necessarily mean Be Happy. now that he knows he wants to work in animal welfare, he's worried about how it will affect his family -- they worked hard to provide him with a comfortable life and just ignoring that and not giving back to them seems really selfish to him, but he also doesn't want to be unhappy, NOR does he want to turn away from the work that he now thinks is of the utmost importance. tl;dr WHAT DO
• but look! new kurt! was successful! he's on the cheer squad! he's a prefect! he spent half the summer in yellowstone playing Mountain Man! in a few days he's going to meet a flipping UNICORN!!! WOW!!!!!
• he's a busy bee. he has 8 courses with an advanced study, he's attending junior and sophomore potions classes to catch up, he's prefecting, and he's still doing the stables'n'drama thing. it's stressful. :(
• the whole "forest can be bad" thing is still hard for him to process. he's aware of the dangers of the wilderness, etc., but this is different, and since he slept through the endgame he's slowly trying to understand what he actually thinks about this whole ordeal. he feels pulled in four different directions and he's especially worried about chloe.
• he still loves drama and he's really interested in it but his dedication will seem to flag a little bit. he used it to compensate for an anxious self when he thought it was the only thing he's capable of and now that he knows he can do these things IRL, shit's changing. HOWEVER he doesn't want to let anybody down. that last sentence is kurt in a nutshell.

Looking For:

• She's been throwing herself hard into Event Committee and is probably going to become pretty unbearable once the dance rolls around worrying about everything being Perfect. She's still hung up on realizing how useless she would have been as a rescuer and thinks throwing the perfect party is the best way she can help her classmates cope now.
• She did see a pretty extreme schedule adjustment with dropping Divination to pick up Pre-Healer Studies. TBD if her perfect life plan gets dismantled by the end of the year.
• She'll be taking part in the date auction. Sorry to anyone hoping a rich heiress would bid on them.
• She's been working hard to bury any uncomfortable feelings about what happened last year and surprised herself during the Anon post to realize how angry she was.
• Buuuut all things considered.. Ursula is doing pretty well and just dealing with the typical senior year stress. She's actually developed a few close relationships which is a huge step forward for her and hopefully that continues.

Looking For:

• Event Committee. I haven't figured out a good way to handle IC planning discussions since technically that stuff is happening in person at Monday's meetings, but I am very open to any ideas that people have. I do have a dropbox for Event committee ideas/etc and sections for the Halloween dance and fundraisers.
• I'll be tossing up an "in case you missed breakfast" announcement about the date auctions tomorrow, so everyone will definitely be informed and can start planning and otherwise getting distressed about dates.
• I'm open to whatever!! I always want more friends, etc for Ursula. I'm hoping to get some Senior Ribbonfin bonding stuff rolling, maybe.

Anything Else: I'm moving this month so I regrettably won't be able to take charge on as much fun October stuff as I would like, but that does not mean that fun should not happen!! I can't contribute as much as I would like OOCly, but if you have an idea for something that you want EC to co-sponser or host or whatever, I think that's great and should definitely happen.

• Pretty good!!!! He's settling into Quid captain stuff so he's less paranoid that he's going to jack it up because he loves his team and they're great and cute!
• He's not really freaked out by the stuff last year - he's a little nervous but he'll happily talk about it with anyone and isn't really even freaked out by Anon being clearly still around. He meant well, after all.
• He remains clueless about anyone having any sort of not purely physical feelings at him (Ennis)! He hasn't missed Sofia trying to get his attention, though. It's gonna kill him. He's trying to be captainly :(
• He's studying A LOT MORE and is hitting up all his friends for help when he can
• He's kinda worried about Lachlan :( And also worried that they're going to kill Reece with stress :(
• He and Oz are still in a weird place (unless you want to handwave them talking about it, Jordan!), so he's around the cabin a little less than normal.

Lucas is reasonably coping with the whole Ghosts Still on Campus thing but he's still very frightened. And he's going to be a FUCKING MESS the first time someone has a run in with Ghost Dad.

He's otherwise doing pretty well. His course load and TAing keeps him insanely busy, I imagine. And his overall academic performance is a major boost to his confidence.

Lucas is going to be OVER THE MOON when Mr. C-B teaches him the counter to the anonymity charm. He might be so excited he'll use an exclamation point. I mean...maybe.

Looking For:

Operation Bidding War: Essie's terrible wingman is on the case. Lucas is going to be warding some folks tomorrow/the next day to set up a bidding war over Jeffy with the goal of getting Essie to bid on him. So, that's coming.

Charms Tutoring!: If you need tutoring in Charms, Lucas makes himself pretty available for one-on-ones or group sessions. He's shy and awkward but he takes the class very seriously so interacting with him in this context is kind of a Different Lucas than normal Lucas.

This year is honestly a breath of fresh air for her. She feels like she's back to her old self, but a little improved, and it's really nice. It never took much for Addy to be happy, but she's happy.

Of course, she's also a little worried about all her classmates, newly responsible for a bunch more stuff, trying to run a business from inside school, and still thinks she has to step up to be a role model for all these crazy bbCrests soooo she's stressed

Feels weirdly tied to the forest vis a vis Mr. Elmasry's history with it; please be prepared for more Addy being nice to forest entities. She's keeping limits for sure, but she's trying a kill them with kindness so they don't kidnap us approach.

Whatever happens with Kenzie's Matchmaking Service LLC, Addy has discovered she's prooobably ready to actually move on romantically, and might be looking, but she's not in any great hurry.
