Griffin is from a tiny magic-y village in Lancaster County, PA. That's Amish country. That is pretty much the extent of his exposure to muggle shit.

His family has been farming squonks for GENERATIONS. They have a lot of trouble keeping the farm family owned and operated because Squonk Farming sucks. So they rely pretty heavily on GUILT to keep the chain of inheritance alive.

Griffin's dad is a SECRET AGENT for the MACUSA. Basically like the wizard equivalent of a green beret/navy SEAL? And he's stationed in Korea and everyone thinks he's just a dead beat dad, so Griffin doesn't talk about him much because most people assume he's lying.

Griffin is a mathboy because I keep doing this to myself?? He likes physics and geometry especially and is into the concept of Sacred Geometry.

He's in DIVINATION but it's because he likes that they occasionally go over stars. He's respectful when he's in class but he doesn't necessarily believe in it. He doesn't have a "specialization" yet but I kind of want to do something absurd wit the Spin the Bottle bottle.

His DREAM is to become an astronaut. Griffin's dad bought him a telescope when he was younger, and he's obsessed with space. He's not so much a WOO ALIENS kid, although that's certainly there, too. He's more into the SCIENCE of it.

He's a sweet boy, but he's emotionally immature and SUPER naive and sheltered and copes by being a Typical Azurcrest and just making exponentially worse decisions as time goes on. Jesse McBride was PROBABLY his idol.

I basically wanted to make a character that embodies Yikes and here I am.

He's AMAZINGLY lazy and will put more work into "being lazy" than he would if he actually did something right the first time. He doesn't seem to realize he's doing this.

Concordia shares Charms, Potions, and Transfiguration with him but no clubs sad day. HOWEVER she is like WOO! with his decision to be in a less wizard-infested profession, since she wants to be a chef and that's not a Typical Wizard Job. The YIKES thing doesn't bother her and she'll cheer him on to stop being lazy? Like a personal motivator! She also would not be easily bothered by him not knowing stuff because that makes her ~feel so smart and cool~ and secretly she likes feeling better than other people shh don't tell. She won't say that because her facade is SO NICE but she might like him a lot more than is completely necessary because he's so sheltered. ALSO she wants to Help Him Be Social! Slowly! But you know, she's like, everyone's personal cheerleader she can be yours too Griffin <3

Isabelle is in Equestrian with him. She'll probably find him really sweet and be nice to him. She's also into Astronomy so even though they don't share the class they can totally talk about that!

Samantha is ALSO an Azurbest! She's in Gaming too! So they have some interaction and she might eye roll at him but Solo and Last Year's Events have made her much less of you-know-what even though she still KIND of is. She'll pick on him a little but then SHUT DOWN anyone else who might.

Avery is in OE, gaming, and is a keeper! So they have a lot in common and even though she's a senior and in a diff house they can totally be friends and she will talk OE, gaming, and keeper stuff with him!

Oscar is in gaming and Azurcrest as well! That's about it, but he's an awkward duck and totally yikes too so he will Feel for Griffin and TRY TO BE A GOOD OLDER AZURCREST PAL!
