OH!! yeah. quizzes were shorter and more frequent and focused on a specific topic (ex: a quiz on Urg the Unclean) , tests were like... covering a module you learned that month (ex: a test on The Goblin Rebellion, chapters 11-15), and exams were testing you on big chunks of knowledge you learned that semester. so you use quizzes to study for tests, use tests to study for exams.

Okay that makes a lot of sense actually.

Maybe I just don't know this because I majored in English and pretty early on tests of any kind gave way to papers upon papers upon papers.
