HOLDS OPEN TOMORROW

Hi everyone, these are your mods speaking! One final announcement before holds open and we begin our approach into Y2. Please put your seats in the upright position and put away your tray tables.

• Holds open tomorrow at 8 AM MT! You've all been given proxy holds if you expressed serious intent to apply as a character. Just confirm it with us by commenting to the hold page tomorrow.


• There will be a character introduction post for new characters on Aug 16, so we don't clog the OOC community with intros.


• If you have permission to hold a second character, you may do so after you submit your first. Only those with special permission may hold a second character before Sep 1.


• If this will be your fifth character, you may make a hold now and submit your 5th character petition after. Your petition will need to be approved before we accept your app. If we've put up a proxy hold for you, you may submit your petition now.


• Processing new characters will take precedence over processing resubmissions.


• There will also be a voice-testing Veritaserum meme on the 16th that's open to all new and returning characters.
  • While you may play on it if you haven't resubmitted your returning characters, you still need to resubmit them by the end of the month or they will be removed from the game!
  
  
  • The Veritaserum meme will be strictly non-canon. If you use the information you learn there in the actual game, we'll give you a rap on the knuckles for infomodding.

see, i interpreted "reserves will not be lettered" as reserves are able to earn their letterman jacket but they won't be assigned a letter that denotes their position

it's mostly the participation requirement that's throwing me off. i don't know if it means that they had to be a part of the team, even as a reserve warming the bench, until at least halfway through the quidditch season or if it means they had to actively participate in at least 3 of the 6 games.

oh geez yeah I had conflated getting your jacket with being lettered (because I had noooo idea about how any of these things worked!) so never mind! ooops

now i'm not sure!!! there's letterman/varsity jackets which are just the... jacket, obvs, but then there's varsity letters which are patches that are earned through accomplishing different achievements/milestones and are attached to the varsity jacket. i just assumed the particular "letter" referenced was the patch that denotes their team position, but they still get the letterman jacket that says "coppertale '16" or whatever.
