i had to do a senior project when i was in high school and i'm pretty sure i put less work into that than we are for these fictional children's homework

I had to do one for my senior English class and I cut out felt letters and glued a Shakespeare quote on a bigger piece of felt and went "here give me my A now I have a lot of people to go disappoint after graduation"

LOL I MEAN i think there's probably plenty of gb alums who ended up putting in minimal effort senior projects and that's... fine, lmao, they were just the more unremarkable graduates of gooseberry

archibald, class of '13, inventor of the smooth-writing endless ink quill vs. jerry, class of '13, wrote a 12 page book report

but everyone else in their class went to the ramirez/downing union instead

Well Jerry maybe if you had done your senior project on wedding invitations instead of writing a small novel on The Fountainhead you wouldnt have had this problem.

dark senior confessions time:

i waited til the last minute and wrote a song about giant squids using info i pulled from wikipedia to present to my oceanography class and i got an A

for senior english, i wrote my final paper on the psychology of pedophiles (WHYYY??? HOW DID THAT GET APPROVED??) bc i suspected my teacher had an inappropriate relationship with my best friend and i was feeling petty. i got an A. (i actually put a lot of work into it tho)

i cheated on my chemistry final by storing all the formulas on my graphing calculator

Oh, graphing calculators. They were so good to us.

Also: That song sounds amazing. And I took a whole class on serial murder, so that really doesn't seem like a weird paper to me?

In one of my cinema classes, the teacher wanted us to write on a genre that had at least three films in it - I'm pretty sure that he intended this to be ACTUAL genres, but his rules weren't clear enough, and his mistakes are not my fault - so I wrote it on Batman movies. (Of which there are enough, spanning enough decades, that they practically can be their own genre. I stand by it.) I got an A.
