i didn't want them to be friends until they had their weird warded talk where chris apologized and they agreed to lay off of eachother while also gently insulting eachother just to make sure they weren't being TOO nice to eachother. And then i was like yeah, i want them to be friends.

bc chris legit thinks half of these cries about bullying are bullshit exaggerations, but he's also like 'wilde accepted my apology tho, so that's really all that matters' out of fucking nowhere. apparently he gave a shit about whether wilde would accept or not.

She doesn't know what's up with Casper, but she has some ideas and she's worried about him. Trying not to think about it too much.

She is a crabmom. Nia has never had a pet before so this is exciting. At the same time she's pissed at herself for such a frivolous purchase. That was like three nights worth of babysitting money. Nia does not believe in treat yourself.

Having a bit of trouble wrestling with what her senior project should be. She wants to do something musical, but she feels like she should do something practical and career-oriented.

Otherwise pretty good. Glad to be back in school. Less lonely, more structure.

Looking For: Friendssssss, music friends, fellow prefect interaction, more roommate interaction, more Ebonhide jr interaction. Just the basics. I'm still feeling her out~
Anything Else: Perm - Bruno Mars is one of the songs I listened to on repeat while writing Nia. I am giving this album too much credit but I kind of like to think that 24k magic as an album paints a picture of a guy who is super hyped up on toxic masculinity and actually is quite pathetic and is toeing the edge of a breakdown.

Kenzie Likes Ulysses A Lot. He's fun and cute, and a perfect balance of kind of a shithead so she doesn't actually feel like she's corrupting an innocent, but he's also kind of a sweetheart and... she likes that, too. I'm not sure she's great at expressing that beyond outrageous flirting but baby steps I GUESS. Aaaaand tomorrow when prom courts noms go up she's going to message him proposing they run for prince/princess together~

MAYBE THEY CAN USE REX AND HIS HIGHNESS AS MASCOTS and finally bond over how much they love their weird pets. :')

Extracurriculars: Dueling and Fencing
Current State:
- Coming back from spring break she's a little more confident and feeling like she's discovering her true self finally. She's not as withdrawn and cold, she's more social and inquisitive, and has a little more sense of belonging. This has drawbacks, however, because her in a good mood is her HOW CAN I BE SNEAKY AND MESS WITH OTHERS in a way, apparently. . .
- Gotten over her discomfort over being a snake as an animagus, after a pep talk from Mummy and being carried around by her. Borgin family gets weird but it works for her. But she's still got some names on her shit list for calling her library mishap out. She holds some dark grudges for sure. Again, it's a Borgin & Burke thing. Back home it's a family not really to be messed with.
- Has recently learned the vital lesson of how useful her cuteness can be wielded in order to overcome opponents. Imagined opponents. Okay fine so she flirted in order to steal food during the cookout but whatever this is a triumph for her. BABY STEPS.
- Girl power. Nothing new. She kicked ass at that obstacle course. Yes she still feels good about it.
- She likes when handsome older boys do her favors. It makes her feel like Queen Elizabeth I having potatoes and tobacco brought back for her from the new world. Only Walter Raleigh didn't bring her otter photos but you know she's making parallels in her head.
- Mischievous little hellion. At least she's kind of showing her personality finally.
- She's been taking part in grotto kissing parties as a study in self-exploration. Get used to it.
Looking For: A slow process to make friends with others in her year group that aren't her roommates, since she already has all their backs. She's starting to get a little punchy with the mean girls and bullies and trying to put them in their place, which is new but is kind of fun for her? Dueling aficionados because she's beginning to see the professional dueling circuit as a viable career option regardless of what Daddy says, because Mummy is all for it. And more opportunities for her to FIGHT THE PATRIARCHY. Or just be intimidating and dismissive of boys. Never mind she may fancy a complete cad but whatever she's choosing to ignore that because in her head it's all a bit complicated and there is the old purist family tradition of hypocrisy that still holds true. And aesthetic wins. She's shallow. Let's not pretend she's not.
Anything Else: Who wants to carry around a bitty white cobra like an Egyptian king?? HIT SYLLA UP SHE LOVES BEING CARRIED AROUND AS A SNAKE. Also she's not telling anyone that Mummy allowed her to strangle small rodents in the woods back home but you know that definitely happened. Because after all, she's a Junior. And they're all cutthroat little devils.

also i'm not sure what would put ulysses further outside of his comfort zone: running for prom prince/ss (and thus risking the possibility of... not getting it) or admitting to kenzie that he's nervous about it (and thus reveal himself to be a Loser And A Baby in front of a hot girl), lmfao. actually, i do know — it's going to be the latter, because i, the puppetmaster, want them to go for it.
