First, we wanted to thank you all for an amazing first week!! When we were planning this little game, we hadn't imagined such a great reception or that we'd have so many awesome players and characters from the get-go. Both of us are first-time mods, and we're really grateful that you've made Gooseberry incredibly easy to run so far. We have so much more planned which you haven't seen yet, and we hope you stick with us for it!

• We're posting this a bit late, but does anyone want to take Character L on the plot calendar? Doubles are allowed. :) Done! ♥


• We will be upping the caps on all advanced studies on October 1, by five spots per class. Starting in December, any characters taking Animagus Studies can ask for a monthly RNG roll to determine whether or not they can successfully transform. The odds will be very rare, and slightly higher for seniors than juniors. A post will be created in December to organize this process.


• If you are working on a new character (or plan to hold one soon), please take a look at the Overlaps List. We will add to it as more characters come in. Also, would anyone find it useful if we put together a spreadsheet of everyone's hometowns, schools, mother's maiden names, etc.?


• The option to be in both LARP and Outdoor Exploration has been added to the Timetable Generator. No longer will you have to choose between being a jock or a nerd! (Except every week when you're forced to choose which club to attend. Still the same time slots, sorry, kids.)


• As always, please hit up our Dropbox if you have any questions about the game, setting or need any kind of request. We're still in the process of moving useful information into the FAQ, but that page does get regularly added to as well. (This part about which areas are forbidden is relatively new.)


• SURPRISE ANNOUNCEMENT!!! It was pointed out that one of the student surnames was no longer appropriate after the changing the game's year from 2016 to 2013, so the Ebonhide junior boys' cabin now has Iliya Krum as their Hogwarts roommate. HOW DOES THAT WORK? Why don't you tell us by applying for him. ;)


• Head's up: from Sep 16 to Sep 25, both mods will be on vacation. There is internet access where we're going, but if you really wanted to get a new character in or to ask us a question, we recommend doing that before the 16th for a prompt response.

Whew! One (or both) of us might be slowatusing as we prep for our big trip, but hopefully we can stay on top of everything and stop anyone from burning the school down. ;)

Haha, no, not yet! You only have to wait until the end of the month for a 4th, though! Frankly we're not sure if 5th characters will ever be on the table, but we'll probably decide on that by January.
