hello hello

Hey folks, I'm new. My name's Cameron, but since I take it you already have one of those in-game (it was my name first, kid, back off!), feel free to call me any nickname or variation thereof. I apologise in advance for any confusion, lmao. Anyway, I'm 24 and a graduate/professional student. I'm also falling off the wagon after 4-or-so years clean from RP, thanks to a little prodding by JJ. God help me.

I picked up 1 character. This little turdblossom is Ulysses Quayle, Ebonhide junior and baby bro to Cricket. Basically, his shtick is that he was everyone's precious baby angel until he went to boarding school and hit puberty and stuff, and then people stopped finding him cute and his whole world fell apart. Now he's like "WHO AM I" and because he's a teenager, this results in 50% melancholic navel-gazing and 50% Acting Outâ„¢. Expect trouble in everything but class, because he's terribly afraid that if he isn't effortlessly succeeding at school, it means he's lost his last identity token ("smart").

So, he's kind of a neurotic brat. Thankfully, he's also pretty charming, loyal to friends and fam, good with creatures (ask him about his blue tongued skink) 'n' kids, and somewhere deep down, a generally good guy. Ulysses is a chaser on the Quidditch team and very into it.

So yeah, that's Ulysses in a nutshell, I guess. Any plots or suggestions would be more than welcomed. I'm excited to play with you guys.

ETA: Oh, contact info! Feel free to email me at captainkickflips@gmail.com or hit me up on my CDJ, [insanejournal.com profile] angoranimi. Sadly, I'm probably in a different time zone than most of y'all (GMT) but I'll do my best to be awake at odd hours, lol.

Hiiii! I'm Lyss, which is kinda also a nickname for Ulysses if he wants it. He probably does not. ANYWAY. I have three here!

This one is Leonardo Fiori, Ebonhide Senior, most relevant to Ulysses because he's the Ebonhide Quidditch Captain. So this is the part where I apologize in advance. Leo is competitive as hell in every aspect of his life, and he takes Quidditch Very Seriously. He's reserved, collected, and tries to run his team in as an efficient/drama free way as he possibly can. (That feud between you and Decourt better never see the light of day on this field, Quayle etc). He demands a lot of his team, but he views them all as his responsibilities/ younger siblings/ yes some of them are the same age as he is. He will inevitably be frustrated at Ulysses' rulebreaking, and make it up to him by having him run a hundred drills. But he'd be there too, and it's all so the team can win. Also, Cricket is his good friend, but he would have made SO VERY SURE that Ulysses knew that wasn't the reason he made the team this year. He doesn't believe in entitlement :|

I also have Adeline Foster-Hayes over at [insanejournal.com profile] adorbs. She's an Azurcrest Junior, former Ilvermorny Thunderbird. Her family is from Virginia, and her mom's side is very wizard-elite, and her dad's side is very muggle-elite, but you wouldn't know that even a little from looking at Addy, who was like #nope and shirked all responsibilities and classes as soon as she possibly could. She's loud, excited always, and very warm. She is not in fact stupid, but she keeps that close to her chest sometimes. I think we have established that the Quayles definitely know the Hayes family, but Addy REALLY isn't good about keeping her family connections intact. She'd like Ulysses when he is breaking rules and is fun, but she may be a little flighty/obnoxious for him normally.

And then my third is Ferdinand Ayers, Junior Ribbonfin Prefect, over at [insanejournal.com profile] ferdies. He is from Chicago and his mom is well known in MACUSA circles for BASICALLY being Rita Skeeter. She almost got arrested but they're just still paying fines instead. Ferdie has systematically tried to engage in small rebellions ever since entering school, but it somehow resulted in him being stupid well-behaved anyway. He's very logical, fair, will not over-punish, but will not let misbehavior slide. He has some class overlap with Ulysses but otherwise probably not much!?
