Hey y'all, Jordan here with my third, Isabelle Sargent

Basic rundown:
+ 15, Ebonhide Sophomore
+ Went to Ilvermorny (Horned Serpent) for years 1-3 ( 2009-2012)
+ Midway through 3rd year she had a mental breakdown very publicly at school and her OCD/Anorexia came to light.
+ For her freshmen (4th) year, she was home schooled while she was put into treatment.
+ This year is her first year at Gooseberry as a transfer in!
+ She is really into art and theatre!
+ She's very quiet, perfectionistic, worrisome, anxious, and high strung.
+ But she wants friends y'all, she really does.

Needs:
+ Friends!
+ People who are curious about her / don't understand.
+ Schoolmates who remember her / her breakdown from Ilvermorny.
+ Romance line...??!!

HEY ROOMIE. I... cannot imagine these two get along very well at all, lmao. Ari does try to kind of keep the peace with her roommates cause she knows having roommates who hate you can make your life hell, but they're just super different and Ari's mean.

Clementine is in drama club and does crew/tech stuff sometimes so they could know each other through that! She'd know Isabelle from Ilvermorny but was already at Gooseberry by the time Isabelle had her breakdown so she wouldn't know so much about that as sophomore people would. She does not physically understand quiet/shy/introverted people so she might be a good counterpoint on that!

Ivy's a senior in a different house but she's SUPER NICE and into arts and stuff. Obvs we'd need to loop Kay in on this (KAY?) but I think Laurel + Ivy as a unit might be good like older friend/mentor types for her since Laurel's into drama and theater and they're both super nonjudgmental and friendly. They're also on Event Committee with her!

And Reece doesn't really have any overlap with her.

Lmao, I totally can't see them getting along either but for Diplomacy Through the Cabin I'm sure they are at least cordial mostly.

I think Isabelle would be totally relieved that Clem doesn't know/remember the breakdown and it could be cool for them to be friendly and for Clem to be like O.o at her shy-ness!

HEEEEEY JORDAN so I have a potential friend for Isabelle, depending on what you think??? But Micah was a Horned Serpent in her class, and around the same time Issy had her big mental breakdown, Micah's older brother died. I'm not 100% sure on her timeline here (did she leave school immediately after her breakdown?), but I imagine they were friendly BEFORE these things happened? Micah's super into art and theatre. He's the opposite in personality (loud, extroverted, easygoing, which either Isabelle could've found grating, but if she tolerated him, he would've been very chatty and friendly at her).

Anyway, I think even if Isabelle hadn't been terribly fond of him, Micah would be VERY happy to see her again and he'll do his best to bug her a lot ~~when my schedule isn't kicking my ass lmao~~. And it could be potentially interesting to have them connect over having to go through a Tough Time in their lives fairly recently, buuut we can see how things develop there.

Aaaaand the rest of my characters, very quickly: Mina knows Isabelle from Event Committee, Mina is VERY ABRASIVE AND BOSSY and not a great mix with high-strung people, but at least I don't think she'd dislike Issy, on account of her being a fellow Ebonhide? Ravi tries to be a nice prefect to sophomores but he's a senior in another house, so he'll likely not cross paths with Isabelle much unless someone is being cruel or upsetting her. :C And Sy mostly talks to Quidditch players and cheerleaders so he probably doesn't even know Isabelle exists lmao WHICH IS HONESTLY BETTER because he's an ass.

UM I love the idea for Micah/Isabelle. 100% She did leave school immediately after her breakdown, but I imagine they tried out-patient therapy first and she probably awkwardly went back for a few weeks before it became apparent that that was Not Working. But I love the idea that they were friends before that, esp considering they are both into the same things. I always picture the one place Issy is really herself is in the art room, so they could totally have bonded there (and now at Goose, too!) She doesn't mind people who have opposite personality as her, she'd be like that too if she didn't have crippling anxiety ya know? She wants to be like him, so I feel like she probably likes that part of him as long as when she -can't- do it, he doesn't try and *make* her.

Issy doesn't mix well with bossy so I bet they butt heads, but she's also not about to make waves so she'll just defer with a frown. All of my characters love Ravi because I love Ravi, so there's that. And you're 100% right about Sy.

Calvin probably interacts with her the most, and I don't know if she has thick enough skin to handle him. :( At least she got to skip out on what a jerk he was last year? But he's still pretty snide even when he's talking to people he likes. He probably thinks being around Issy's a little stressful if he keeps offending her.

Diego will know her through art and drama, and he's also very high strung and sensitive. He's probably nice to her and tries really hard to be gentle, but he's also kind of boisterous and gets carried away easily.

Kenzie is probably Bad News for Issy, but I doubt they cross paths too often. She'll be so deeply unsympathetic if Issy gets upset AND I AM SORRY.

Reid is... awkward and makes other people do most of the emotional heavy lifting in his relationships. They might not talk a lot but he's a nice person under all the ice.

Rafael probably sees her as a well behaved sophomore that he doesn't have to worry about! So 99% of the time she'll be spared his severity.

You're probably right on that one. She'll probably try to avoid Cal for the most part??? It'll be super stressful for both of them when they have to interact.

She likes people who are nice and gentle and she doesn't mind the boisterous. Given how much I've seen of Diego and what he generally seems like, I think she'll like him just fine. Diego is super lovable.

Kenzie is like, her worst nightmare x.x BUT ITS OK YOU BE YOU KENZIE, BE A HORRID BITCH, PICK ON HER. THE DRAMA FEEDS ME.

Considering she is not up for much emotional heavy lifting they're probably just friendly passing acquaintances.

So Leo is an Ebonhide! He's also a Senior though, and they mayyy not cross much. And he's not exactly sensitive either but isn't cruel. He'd probably just let her mind her own business.

Addy is Addy and will be very warm/kind/probably obnoxious, oops.

Ferdie is good with emotions and a prefect and will probably talk to her if she needed sometimes! Even if she is not a Ribbonfin :(

I mean, same house is good enough for them to at least know each other. But she's not overly like OH HI SENIOR BOY so they probably leave each other alone.

Addy is beautiful and I love her, this is ok with me.

I like a Ferdie/Issy friendship! They can definitely talk!

HELLOOOOOO. ok so out of mine, Nate is an Ebonhide! I mean he's a senior but he'll know who she is. He's also OCD but that would be a weird thing to bond over. And also I don't think Nate knows he's OCD. I don't know where I'm going here.

And then Jeffy! Who's also a sophomore! They probably share some classes and he is loud and overwhelming but NICE. HE WANTS TO BE NICE. LET HIM BE NICE AT YOU. He will probably bug her because he is also a new baby and I need to throw him at more people.

Lol well if he wants to know he's OCD at some point, Isabelle might recognize the signs of it in someone else? There's no reason a senior and sophomore can't be friends though! Plus they have a similar personality, that could either clash or make them like being around each other. We can see!

She's in Drama with Kurt and Casey! She's in Equestrian with Kurt! She's in Event Committee with Quinn! That's, like, all I've got. :/ I ain't got no Ebonhides or Sophomores!

Kurt and Issy also both like art! I think they could end up being friends, he's super adorable and sweet and they cross paths enough to warrant at least being on first name basis?

She's probably afraid of Casey.

...And Quinn, to be fair.

Levi (

idfk) likes her by default? I mean, it's very hard for him to dislike someone. They're in theatre together, but he's also in tech. (He plays the piano.) And heee loves astronomy and is surprisingly good at the math and science behind it, but mostly clings to the shallow aspects like the #aesthetics so THE WORLD MAY NEVER KNOW HE'S SEMI-INTELLIGENT AND NOT JUST A SPACE HIPSTER. He was in Thunderbird and was a pretty popular kid, or at least made a spectacle out of himself like he still does now.

Maggie (

fensterln) I'M NOT SURE, but she's Ebonhide Head Girl and she moms over all of her children and Isabelle will be no exception. She was in Horned Serpent and was a tiny mom there too.

Ennis (

sheepishly) is an artsy kid! He finds it super cathartic so they might bump into each other in the art room after classes. He struggles with anxiety, though, so they might be really bad for each other and end up feeding off the other's nervous energy.

Oh, and she and Ennis are in Equestrian Club and Event Committee!

I think she would like Levi - his antics would amuse her and she likes nice people. The confidence and popularity would be something she admires about him!

She'd respect Maggie but I'm not sure how she'd feel being mothered. We might have to see on that one!

And lol I was honestly thinking about Ennis lines after I wrote her. I feel like the anxiety wouldnt be an issue - at least in my experience with anxiety, other people who have it have the most calming effect because until you have it, it's really tough to understand someone who does. I think his general nature would appeal to her and they could be good friends!

I think Isabelle and Pippa should be friends! Both sophomores, both into singing/choir, both anxious by nature. Pippa used to get panic attacks back at Hogwarts, but I don't think she's had a single one since coming to Gooseberry?? (This place is turning out to be SO GOOD for her.) She'll be super sympathetic though. I got to the line in Isabelle's app where you said she's "afraid people won't like her or will think less of her if she isn't doing the right thing at all times" and was like OMG PIPPA GETS IT.

Coralee is in all of Isabelle's extracurriculars, which is bad news for Isabelle. She probably goes around rearranging props and costumes in drama just to see if it bothers Isabelle. And makes comments like, "Gosh, Isabelle, you're so thin! You poor thing, have you been ill?"

Irene is a housemate! She'll be quietly friendly.

And I don't think Etta has any overlap with her.

You forgot that they are also both adorable redheads! The best thing about friends is that they *get it* and *get you* so I definitely think Pippa and Issy could get along really well, and be good friends!
