Hey gang~ I'm Katie, I'm new to the game, and introductions are hard! But it's nice to meet you all and I'm looking forward to playing here.
Anyway, this is Cecil Honeychurch, Head Boy and Azurcrest's house big brother. He's the son of a magientomologist and a potioneer and grew up in rural North Dakota on an apiary (full of magical bees, obviously). He came into his magic late, but has worked hard to catch up and is a proficient wizard with a talent for divination. While his predictions are always right, though, he can't focus them very well and they're generally rather useless. He's hoping some time in Mr. Chettri's class will fix thatif he can focus, because damn that's a handsome man. He's more responsible and more grounded than most of his housemates, but also upbeat and optimistic and generally a nice guy. He also likes to spoil take care of his fellow jays, so I hope you're all ready for homemade baked goods and boundless encouragement. Also, he's ridiculously tall. That's the gist, but check the profile for more details.
If you'd like to plot or just chat, feel free to hit my contact post or send me an email. I adore building character relationships and plotting, so always up for that.
:D Thanks all!

Oh my goodness, Cecil is a most adorable Head Boy! (Ursula shares Cecil's appreciation for how very fine Mr Chettri is, ugh.) Ursula is also a notorious gossip who hates bugs and the outdoors so Mr. Chettri may be the only thing they can agree on! (He's probably had to scold her to play nice on more than one occassion.) They're both on Event Committee though, so they do see each other a bit through out the week!
no subject
Haha! Well, at least they have Mr. Chettri and they can struggle to focus together. ;) Cecil probably does scold her from time to time, or at least give her Disappointed Looks, but hopefully Event Committee is neutral territory.

If nothing else, it looks like Dru and Cecil will see a lot of each other between the Azurcrest camp, Event Committee, and Outdoor Exploration, so hopefully they get along! And he'll see Ulysses at Choir. They can sing and be tall together?
Anyway, have a good night!

ANYWAY, HELLO, KATIE! I'm Ali! I have Levi, Azurcrest Senior, Chaser on the Quid team. He's also ridiculously tall and I imagine it's been a "thing" where he's insisted on standing back-to-back with Cecil every semester to compare their growth and see who's gotten taller.
Heeeee probably dotes on him the same way he does the rest of his housemates, but in a, "PROTECT THIS PRECIOUS HONEYBEE" way and he hates disappointing him while also continuing to disappoint him. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ He probably (usually) waits until Cecil's back is turned to do the shitty things he wants to do. Not because he's hiding the fact that he's done it/going to do it, but because he can't stand the thought of Cecil having to witness it and being ~DISTRAUGHT~ and ~DISAPPOINTED~ by his actions. Even if he's not actually distraught or disappointed, Levi will probably exaggerate his mental image of him to resemble a kicked puppy.

In photos of them all standing together you just see Diego from the glasses-up.

And it's nice to meet you, Ali!
Cecil is entirely willing to participate in the annual height contest and won't even rub it in that he keeps winning. ;) That aside, Cecil is probably pretty torn when it comes to Levi, having an immense affection for him but also being perpetually exasperated by the rule breaking and everything. He also hates having to punish him or take points from the house because of him. Disappointed and distraught might not be too far from the truth, but he still considers him a friend and I imagine he'll still encourage him to do better more than criticize him or anything like that.

Diego Morales (this journal) is his roommate, a hipser musician pureblood, friendly outdoorsy ditz. Diego is extremely fond of Cecil, super happy he was made Head Boy, always ready to try and talk Cecil into doing FUN things. Diego also had a rural upbringing, but a very privileged one. He's made a couple references to DEAR SWEET CECIL the BUSIEST OF BEES and how he doesn't want it to get back to Cecil when he gets in trouble. Diego is a very apologetic rule breaker, as it's usually his impulsiveness that lands him in trouble rather than malice. He and Cecil share a ton of classes and a few clubs, including cheer squad. I think they would probably make good friends? Uh, Diego is also rather short, so he comes up to about Cecil's chin. WHOOPS.
Reid Wainwright (
Calvin Evercreech (

While Cecil's probably got the same issues with Diego that he does with Levi (unhappy that he's breaking the rules and more unhappy that he has to dole out punishments because of it), I think it makes sense for these two to be tight. Lots of overlapping interests and classes, like you said, and I think they balance each other out in a way that's good for both of them too. I also picture Cecil being really impressed with/really supportive of Diego's band. And Cecil doesn't mind that you're short, lil' buddy. ;) He won't even lean on your head.
As to Reid and Calvin, I'm curious to see how they'll interact. Particularly Calvin, since there's a world of difference in how Cecil would treat him if he thinks he's getting bullied or if he's picking fights. So, we'll see! Also, he says shame on Sy regardless.

Another problem child! Buuuut I think it's safe to say Cecil loves Addy too. He's perplexed by the fact that she acts like she knows less than she does and if he has any inkling of her feelings of inadequacy, he'll be all over telling her how wonderful she is. But yeah, they can definitely be Potions buddies and it looks like they have Outdoor Exploration together too (for those times when they want to hang out and not blow things up).
Also, re: the Head Boy pride, he's blushing and downplaying it. NO BIG DEAL. But he appreciates it.

Cecil doesn't know entirely what to make of Trixie (gaming and d20s and what-now?), but I imagine they get along well enough. We can always play with that more in-game, though! With regard to Katya, I'm sure Cecil is extra proud of his Azurcrest prefects, so he'll do anything he can to help her out with her responsibilities and encourage her.

So all I have to offer you is Chris, who is naturally grumpy. They're not in the same house, but they're in four classes together, and the same year. Chris is friends with some of Cecil's friends too, but how he and Cecil get on kinda depends. Because he's a bit prickly, and a bit of a debby downer, and he hates people on merit alone. But he's also not extremely a trouble maker - he just is a bit of a dick.
So if Cecil's okay with that lol they could be cool?
no subject
Cecil doesn't have an issue with grumpy, per se, so long as grumpy doesn't translate into being rude or hateful or anything like that without a reason. If Chris is just doing his own thing until he's provoked, Cecil likely doesn't have as much of a problem and the two could get along. Though, Cecil may try to (horrors) cheer him up from time to time too. He really doesn't like seeing people so unahppy!

Okay so number one is this guy, Nathaniel Bird, who is an Ebonhide Senior and Prefect and mostly just a nice country boy from rural Idaho. They have, like, six classes together. SO, LIKE, THEY GOTTA BE FRIENDS RIGHT?
The other one is Riley Stamper (
no subject
I could definitely see these two being friends, given all the overlap and since country boys have to stick together, right? Also, Cecil will likely be big on encouraging Nate (because he respects how hard he works) but also on trying to get him to unwind from time to time so he doesn't make himself crazy.
Haha! Oh Riley. Cecil finds you cute and pocket-sized and will gladly carry you around/help you reach things. He'll also try to keep her out of trouble, but we'll see how that goes....

but cecil looks like the cutest!
i have one character in-game so far, zoey valentine, a ribbonfin senior. calm, friendly, super ribbonfinny w some sprinkles of rebellion. she plays chaser for her team, is in a band w a couple of azurcrests, super good at potoins, annnnnnd also a wannabe seer (much to the dissatisfaction of her mother)! soo that's totally a bonding point for her and cecil, if you like. c: she's less of a visions kind and more of a LEMME DO A READING kind, with varying actual success. i love the idea of a little divinations gang on campus tho like geeking out over various things & sighing about chettri ♥
no subject
I can definitely see Cecil and Zoey getting along and I also like the idea of the Divinations kids hanging out/trying various div techniques/swooning over Mr. Chettri. Cecil's probably not as open about that last part, but it's probably not that hard to notice either. Also, he's a big fan of her band! Also also, he's sad she doesn't like sweets. How's he supposed to randomly spoil you, Z?
no subject
FIRST UP is Ravinder Dhaliwal, senior Ribbonfin prefect, nice boy, very sociable, responsible and straight-laced and a huge LARP enthusiast. They don't share any clubs but I imagine they could be friends, just by virtue of being prefects together since sophomore year. Ravi respects Cecil a lot and thinks he absolutely deserved to make Head Boy ;u;
LESS CHARMING is Sylvester Stoker (
AND ALSO NOT CHARMING (sigh) is Wilhelmina Tran (
no subject
And I'm considering a second hold already, so clearly not that overwhelmed...I think you're spot on about Ravi and Cecil. While they don't have a lot of shared interests (apart from stories), they're similar in disposition and priorities and I think that'd probably be enough. Also, fellow Prefect! And that means a lot to him, Ravi~ ♥
Oh Sy. Cecil doesn't really know what to do with him and probably keeps a fairly close eye on him since he's not just breaking the rules, but actually picking fights and antagonizing people. Soooo Sy probably sees more of him than he'd like to. Probably not on the best terms, though Cecil will always try to keep it civil.
And again, Oh Mina. Cecil is glad she doesn't hate him and probably takes her more prickly aspects in stride because he's accustomed to them after three years, not being intimidated by her but not pushing her too much either. He'd like to be friends, buuut he's not particularly optimistic about that. He also doesn't like or understand her animosity toward Diego, though, and will always defend his buddy if she gets snippy at him.

Frankie's one of the bitty, Sophomore Azurcrests. And she very probably loves him. He's gigantic and adorable and she comes from a family where baked goods are very much a love currency. So, really, best Head Boy ever. She doesn't really get up to much trouble herself, so she probably won't need too much in the way of scolding. Hopefully. Scolding's terrible.
no subject
The feeling is mutual! Cecil and Frankie have really compatible personalities, I think, and he appreciates having someone else in Azurcrest that's more on the mellow side (AKA - not getting into trouble on a daily basis) and probably admires her art. Plus, she likes sweets and they're on the Event Committee together, so obviously!
And he thinks scolding is terrible too. Don't make him scold, Frankie!

Tabitha is the same year in Ribbonfin, and is Diego's ex. Unfortunate, she says, because Cecil is adorbs. <3
Dominic is a different house and year, but there is always a random run in!

This is Isaiah Covington. He's a Ribbonfin senior from a big name family (you may recognize his uncle as the groundskeeper) and is a big old introvert who mostly likes to hide in the music room. He'll know Cecil from classes, obvs, but IDK if they'd interact much beyond that.
Gabi Flores
And probably most relevantly,
Welcome!!
no subject
Well, Cecil's also in Choir, so he sees him there too. He'll be friendly toward Isaiah, but probably wouldn't push him too much if he's putting off a 'why are you talking to me?' vibe. Pretty in awe of those piano skills, though!
Sounds like Gabi and Cecil will get along swimmingly, then, even if they only see each other for Prefect or Choir reasons. He's all about the eternal optimism. Also, chinchilla!
Cecil will definitely see a lot of Regan, yeah! He appreciates the enthusiasm and the honesty (mostly) and the fact that she's trying her best with being a Prefect, so he probably likes her quite a bit. Also, yay for more Azurcrest artists! Cecil isn't one (unless you count whittling kitschy wooden birds when it's raining), but he admires it.

This girl here is Sybilla Borgin - mostly goes by Sylla, Ebonhide Junior and Hogwarts exchange student that's been at Gooseberry since last year. Her parents are the Borgin & Burke of the Knockturn Alley store, the current generation, but just as creepy and shady, which was the comfort zone Sylla grew up in. She's teeny tiny but loves duelling, gets enthusiastic over morbid and violent interests (recently she's shared her love of muggle boxing and fighting, I warn you ahead of time), and is altogether pretty sweet and bitty if you can get past the creepiness. She's Wednesday Addams and a Disney princess combined in one and she is none the wiser.
And Holden Bright -
no subject
Sylla sounds like a handful! Cecil likely wouldn't have known what to do with her at first, but would gradually come around once he could adapt to her unconventional interests. They don't have many (any?) overlapping activities, though, so he may not know much about her either way yet. But definitely willing to play with them and see how it goes~
If Holden's close with the Azurcrest kids, I'm sure he and Cecil have crossed paths, yeah. Likely, he's friendly with Holden and tries to give him some encouragement whenever he looks uncomfortable or out of place (he's been there!). Again, not much overlap apart from mutual friends, but up for playing with that!

I have one character here, Anuhea Alapai who is a Ribbonfin. She is also a senior. She plays quidditch and is a transfiguration kid. She is here on scholarship for sports as well. So outdoor exploration and archery club are big parts of her life other than quidditch.
no subject
Henrietta Gray is also a senior Azurcrest, yay! She's the new Quidditch captain, taking over from her sister who was captain for the last two years. (Certain people make comments about nepotism and favouritism but whatever.) She's sorry that Cecil isn't into ladies because she's 5'11" and sometimes it's nice to kiss someone taller than you, you know? She probably likes hanging around Cecil for the novelty of being able to rest her head on his shoulder, haha. She also loves all his home baked treats! Etta doesn't go out of her way to break rules, but... it does happen... fairly frequently. ALTHOUGH now she's captain she's trying to be good! And I think since she's so fond of Cecil she'll try to behave around him.
My other character is Pippa Nightingale (
THIS TURNED OUT SUPER LONG, SORRY TO BE SO OVERWHELMING :x
