MEAN GIRLS PART DEUX. This is Ariadne Flint, she's awful, and she's here to ruin your day.

• She's a new exchange student from Hogwarts, where she was a Slytherin. This is her first year at Gooseberry.
  
• She hails from a pureblood family in social and financial decline, although she's not pureblooded herself. Growing up in immediate post-war Wizard Britain on the wrong side of things was a tough upbringing and this is a super loaded topic for her.
  
• Back at Hogwarts, she was the Prime Lackey in a clique of Slytherin kids that pretty much terrorized anyone at the school who would listen to them. Her very best friend was the very worst bully of them all.
  
• She hasn't really been enjoying her time at Gooseberry so far for a variety of reasons. She's not super into the camping thing. It's a way smaller school than Hogwarts, which freaks her out a little. She's not really into the alternative vibe a lot of you guys put off. Just a bad fit on the all-around.
  
• Classes: Charms, Herbology, History of Magic, Potions, Transfiguartion, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Divination.
  
• Clubs: Cheer Squad, choir, event committee, equestrian club
  
• Despite being kind of prissy, she actually really likes horses and spends a lot of time down at the stables. She spent a lot of time at a muggle stable growing up, but she likes the winged horses too.
  
• She's on the cheer squad cause someone told her that's a cool thing to do in America.
  
• Her secret ambition is to be a romance novelist but she will never tell anybody this.

Plotting with her is going to be a little tough because she's a new exchange student and she's been a little isolated since arriving, but other mean girls? People she doesn't like? People who don't like her? Hogwarts connections? A long-suffering senior who showed her around on her first day and feels the need to check in on her wellbeing every now and then? Or whatever else you have to throw at me!

So, Joanna is a dormmate and as a city girl this place kind of weirded her out too at first. She's blunt and while not mean is certainly more forthright than Tabs. She'd probably be concerned if she thought Ariadne wasn't enjoying herself - something workable there, maybe?

Will is also a sophomore, so there's that.

YAY. DORMMATES. Between Joanna and Ferris I imagine Ariadne probably gets along better with Joanna lmao. She's kind of icy in general so she wouldn't make any attempts to bond with her, but since they live together I imagine they have a certain amount of mandated face-to-face hangout time lol. She'd appreciate someone to walk to and from the Lodge with her at the very least. Why did her cabin have to be in the middle of the forest??

Joanna is glad she has a dormmate whose ass she doesn't have to haul out of bed, lbr! Lol. She will happily lead any conversations but probably asks her about how she's getting on and can Jo help? She's no pushover but she will try and make sure other people are having a good time. She probably compliments her sense of style too :)

however...

Avery, given her dislike of bullies, her literally everything, would just not like her. As nice as Avery is, I don't think she would be willing to tolerate mean-girl ness. She probably did try and talk to her originally though, when she was all new and closed off.

Penelope will straight up bully her, no joke. Which is completely contradictory because she hates bullies but if she saw Ariadne being a little bitch to someone she would GO HAM about it and make her life miserable so they can totally be enemies :D

she has event committee with laurel, which could be an interesting clash? i want to think that laurel probably did extend an olive branch when she first arrived, trying to be all friendly -- maybe that didn't go so well?

She's in divination with Zoey, but they're two years apart so idk how much overlap that is.

OKAY I'm confused bc I thought I'd already replied to this but... apparently not? Sorry!!

Pippa was bullied by a Slytherin gang back at Hogwarts, so I'm guessing Ariadne was a part of that! Feel free to pick on Pippa here at Gooseberry too, if you like. Pippa is going to be VERY MISTRUSTFUL of Ariadne and avoid her if she can, because Gooseberry was supposed to be her FRESH START. These two are in Choir together.

Coralee is part of the Gooseberry mean girls clique, and they're in all the same clubs, so I think they'd get on pretty well! But Coralee wouldn't hesitate to put Ariadne in her place if she thought she was getting too full of herself. But mostly I think they should just hang out and make catty comments, lol.

Irene is in the same house, and she likes spending time at the stables too (when she can, since she's pretty overworked). She's probably not SUPER friendly to Ariadne given their differences (and given that Irene is quite reserved anyway) but I think she'd be courteous at the least?

And Etta doesn't have much overlap with Ari, so probs doesn't even know who she is.

YES DEFINITELY. I love Pippa and I'm bummed my characters don't have more overlap with her in general but I can settle for badgering her.

Coralee is the exact kind of person Ari's used to befriending for STATUS so I imagine Ari more or less knows from experience to just kiss ass. The have some stuff in common like being into clothes/fashion and YES being catty so I bet they get along just fine. But since she was from a disgraced pureblood family in England and hung out with the proper pureblood girls she definitely knows how to mind her place even if she hates doing it. I also like that the mean girls are cheerleaders but all for different teams lmao

They can maybe bump into each other at some point! But Ari probably doesn't go out of her way to talk to Irene either.
