Annnnd it's Rin again! I thought it would be a really great idea to app two characters at once into a new game while traveling both weekends! It's worked out ok though :)

This is Asher! Some key points about him include:
+ Senior Ribbonfin
+ He has a near eidetic memory so he is creepy good at remembering stuff; but he's also just a nerd so a good student
+ His mom runs a big fancy cosmetics company for both magical and non-magical peeps called Crystal Cosmetics
+ His dad is a Muggle TV news anchor in NYC
+ He is writing a school newsletter all on his own! Please let me know if you'd like to include anything in it (I'm still working out how I want the publishing mechanics to go). I heard a certain someone might be good at an advice column ;)
+ He totally did a family newsletter when he was a little kid called The Guthrie Gazette so if you can somehow find this out and make fun of him that would be great
+ He's really great at karaoke
+ He's Aiden's older brother - sorry for leaving Aiden out in the cold to pick up his loser big brother!
+ He is a little sad about a break-up right now :( but he'll be ok

Okay so Chris probably knows of Asher because they're both seniors and they share like four classes. And no clubs and he doesn't care about your newsletter. But Asher's baby brother IS on the same team as Chris and during try outs, Chris was pulling for the kid (we no longer have the kid; it's a damn shame). I feel like with Asher's personality, it could really go either way. Chris is a very big advocate for nonbullying (being aggressive is not the same thing as bullying okay) and nonlabelling, but he's also a lot more vocal than Asher. Once you KNOW him, he can be less aggressive and more serious, but it depends if Asher really cared about knowing him earlier on.

Olivia probably does not have much to do with Asher but she loved your newspaper and she's pulling for you, dude. You can do whatever you set your mind to

Solomon has what I would consider the closest to an eidetic memory. The way this kid can relay information is insane but he's super interested to know everything. But since he's only a sophomore, he doesn't know of this newsletter and likely doesn't know of Asher unless they bond over the journals or something? I assume that's probably more open ended than anything.

Omigosh, the Gutherie Gazette, that's so cute. Just based on a quick read of his app, I think he and Cricket would probably get along. I mean, she base level gets along with pretty much everyone, but I can see them being sorta close. She'll try to coach him through his breakup.

kurt! is still what i said in hazel's thing, as well as having a stutter and being a historically very shy dude who is currently trying to BREAK OUT OF THAT SHELL. his dad works for MACUSA and kurt spends half of his breaks in NYC as a result. kurt would like asher. they're also in animagus studies (ALTHOUGH KURT IS A DOG. DUN DUN DUNNN.)

hello, rin, i'm ali! nice to meet you and welcome to the game! i have levi here (senior azurcrest, quid chaser) and maggie fensterln (senior ebonhide, head girl).

levi would totally want to participate in an anonymous advice column. he's known for giving a lot of crass EXCELLENT advice. here and here (ok, basically this whole anon post is where he got high and started dishing out heart-to-hearts and life advice). and heeee loves karaoke.

maggie is also moping over a break up so they can eat ice cream and bond over that :C she dated the head girl last year and was really serious about her but they broke up before the start of the school year. maggie claims the break up was mutual because the long distance thing was illogical while maggie was in boarding school and confined to holiday visits but the truth is maggie was definitely wanting and willing to wait for her gf and visit over holidays and she's pretty hurt that her gf didn't feel the same level of dedication. SO SORT OF SIMILAR SITUATIONS? older girlfriend graduated, broke up, and now they're both focusing their pain on constructive outlets and pretending that there's no pain because they are CALM AND STRONG and reluctant to share their problems with people.

Sun-mi is one of the senior Ribbonfin prefects. She is pretty awful when it comes to the rules enforcement part (more Cool Big Sister than Mom), but she is very supportive and maybe a little too eager to encourage people to follow their dreams, whatever they are. She tends to leave the boys to Ravi's care, but she would be happy to talk with Asher about anything troubling him. She comes off on the superficial and flighty side though, thanks to her weakness for Cute Girls. She's also like BFF with Ravi and they are a pretty terrible duo when they both get into a meddling mood.

Ursula is a year below him and also has a business lady mom so they have that in common. She's very interested in gossip and understanding what motivates people and every time a music question comes up I just want to answer "she listens to the news!" SO. I can see her being pretty interested in Asher's pet project.

I am Sara! I used to go by Rin on the internet a long time ago! WEIRD.

I have four.

This is Isaiah. He is Asher's roommate! He's a p. serious introvert and he spends the majority of his time in the music room (he's composing a piano concerto for his senior project, and he's the student accompanist for Choir, he is that kind of nerd,) but I feel like after four years he's pretty comfortable with all of his roomies. At least. I hope he is. He's quiet and a little stiff but he's a really nice guy if you can get past that? Also his uncle works here, so: connections!

I also have a bb Ribbonfin, Gabi Flores gabiflor She's very sweet and optimistic and naive. She loves everyone. She would think the Guthrie Gazette thing is ADORABLE (once you explained the concept to her.) She is Guatemalan and has a chinchilla. She wants hugs.

Saira Raza sairaza is a Coppertale junior and is basically Hermione + sarcasm. She spends most of her time working though she occasionally emerges to be badass at things idk. She would LOVE to be in on this school newsletter thing somehow.

And finally Ree Hobbs reehobbs is my lil Azurcrest maniac. She's all over everyone all the time, I don't even know what to say about her anymore. She'll probably bug Asher all the time just by virtue of bugging everyone all the time.

So, Diego will like Asher, because... Diego likes everyone. However, he has a complicated relationship with Ribbonfin, since he cheated on Tabitha with Anuhea last year. BUT, Diego is a talented musician and he's in choir with Aiden, and he's on very friendly terms with Ravi and Isaiah.

Reid will know Asher a little through the Animagus Studies connection, buuuut not much else. He's got some kind of connection with Aiden since they're on the same team and Aiden replaced him as Seeker SO WE'LL SEE WHAT THE ENDS UP BEING.

Rafael will be polite and friendly, and he's very close with Sun-mi and Ravi. He's also got a silly streak despite his severity, and will probably enjoy teasing Asher and joking around with him. He has a reputation for being the bad cop prefect, though, and he's unpleasantly competitive, so he might rub Asher the wrong way.

Calvin is a little sophomore Ribbonfin, and he's not an uncommon sight in Asher's cabin because he has a big crush on Ravi. Calvin's an excellent student but pretends he's struggling in Hermeticism so Ravi will tutor him. (Spoiler: he's not struggling at all.) Calvin admires Asher's ambitions with the newsletter. Also everyone in that cabin is cute and he's awkward.

SO. Nate might know him some? They have a few classes together, including Animagus Studiessss SO, LIKE, THEY AT LEAST KNOW EACH OTHER. idk Nate is generally quiet and serious and spends a lot of time in the library, meaning i neglect him, whoops. :(

RILEY is still probably mostly irrelevant, GO AWAY RILEY, YOU CAN'T SIT WITH US.

ROSY is also a Ribbonfin, WHAT UP WHAT UP. as long as he can stand a little sass, she'll be friendly. she's not 100% a secret coppertale, SHE CAN ACTUALLY BE NICE.

ROBIN is crazy, BUT. robin's senior project is investigating the anonymous writer (and also possibly associated mysteries?), and asher's involves gathering information on the school and the mysteries and I FEEL LIKE THEY COULD CROSS PATHSIN THIS? i mean, he'll shoehorn in his theories about aliens, high level cover ups, and the apocalypse, but at the very least he's fun to talk to. i swear.

ROUND TWO. So, I'll skip the basic character description stuff since that was covered last time, but here we go!

choneychurch is a fellow senior and a member of the choir, so he likely knows and likes Asher. He probably reads the school paper from back to front whenever it's published because he's a reader in general and because he's genuinely interested in the school and what's going on and understanding the perspectives of other people. He has a nice singing voice, but rarely sings in public outside of choir because he doesn't like to be the center of attention, but maybe Asher can convince him every now and again. I could see these two being friends, at least on a casual level?

casperkim has a plot bit with Asher that we've already discussed! Which I've updated in Casper's profile. As a result, Casper and Asher are unlikely friends and Asher is one of the few people that can easily get Casper to step back, shut up, or maybe even calm the fuck down. It's magic. Casper is also protective of Asher, so anyone that teases him about his newspaper or upsets him about his ex or anything like that may want to watch their back. He doesn't want Asher to graduate and may occasionally but angry/mopey/distraught about it. DON'T YOU COMFORT HIM, ASHER. He also has his first girlfriend-type-person this year in Katya Ivanova, so feel free to be obnoxious about it, good buddy. You're the only one who can without getting snarled at.

colemoss is a baby Ribbonfin and likely knows Asher from around camp. He is impressed with Asher's memory, nosy about his margin doodles (WHAT'CHA DRAWIN'?), and generally thinks he's nice, but that's about all unless you've got ideas!

tyhawkeswood is a fellow senior and fellow aspiring Animagus, but otherwise doesn't have a lot of overlap with Asher. Despite that, I could see these two getting along because of their easy personalities and maybe even being friends. Ty would love Asher's secret reserves of silly and would try to bring them out at every opportunity. GET EXCITED WITH HIM, ASHER. Also, he adores his music (which is a big deal), wants to be serenaded, and wants to see Asher's Mad Dance Skillz every day of his life, please. You should share the gif with the class. XD

So hi I'm Emma I have one of Asher's roommates! rararasumssenJeremiah Rasmussen! He's extremely calm and has the attitude of pretty much everything is great. Ras is a spoiled rich kid that doesn't act like it or when he talks about money more assumes that everyone is like him though he doesn't rub it in anyone's face. He likes his boat and his plane named Alexandra and Celery respectfully and will try to get along with everyone. He's a giant, giant slacker so he's taking the smallest amount of classes possible.

I also have Trixie Armstrong lfmkarapst a Coppertale Senior who spends her time basically being a mad scientist with devious plans to take over the world. She's hyperactive and just wants to be the evil villain in everything so I'm sure Asher would at least know of her, she's tiny with bright orange hair also she is drinking a smoothie 90% of the time. Also she's attached at the hip with Robin.

Katya Ivanova catseyenebula is a junior Azurcrest prefect and fairly nice even if a tad introverted at this point. She likes space and is very Russian as in just came over from Russia a few years ago. There is a rumor that she's got ties to the mafia which is kinda true in a way. Don't know if they'll really cross paths but maybe!

and finally Ferris tinyrebel even though she's Robin's cousin, she's a terrifying annoyance. She's the girl in the back of the class staring you down without saying a word, she hates everything and everyone. All Ferris wants to do is shoot things and play violin so I really doubt Asher will see much of her.

Omg I suggested the school magazine/advice column and I am SO EXCITED IT'S ACTUALLY HAPPENING. Etta could probably be persuaded to contribute if Asher (or anyone else?) asked her to do something specifically? She wrote a post about ~personal safety~ last month! (BTW, Etta says the best way to get over someone is to get under someone else, Asher...)

Pippa is in choir with Asher! She is on A MISSION to find a CUTE AMERICAN BOYFRIEND and has a tendency to get giggly and silly around cute boys, especially older boys.

And Coralee is probably Crystal Cosmetics #1 source of income, lmao.
