Hey guys, Josie here, and I'm bringing my third character to the party. This is Coralee Wong! Is it a coincidence that her name rhymes with morally wrong? WHO CAN SAY.

• Coppertale Junior. Lives in Elysian Fields and went to Port Prep so there are definitely a few characters here who will have known her growing up.
  
  
• Coralee is... not very nice, but was a lot worse when she went to Port Prep. Think the ultimate Queen Bee/mean girl. She actually had to leave Port Prep because of how badly she bullied another girl there. Okay, she didn't quite get kicked out, but the school was Not Happy and Coralee's parents decided it was in everyone's best interests if she quietly moved to a new school in the MIDDLE OF FUCKING NOWHERE.
  
  
• (She doesn't like Gooseberry.)
  
  
• Coralee isn't so much of an outright bully any more, but I think we all know that poisonous toadstools don't change their spots. She's just a lot more clever about how she goes about it, and doesn't pick on the same people repeatedly like she used to do. Now she smiles a lot! And pretends she's got your best interests at heart! She'll pop up beside you in the corridor, link arms with you like you're best friends, and flick her perfect hair over her shoulder as she tells you she doesn't know why people are saying you're a slut! Omg! Didn't you know?!
  
  
• (Her hair game is 100% on point all of the time.)
  
  
• Basically, she's a shit stirrer. I apologise in advance for anything everything she says. :| Coralee loves nothing more than to throw the cat among the pixies and sit back and laugh at the result. (On that note, if you want her to spread a rumour about your character -- for plot reasons or just for the lulz -- just drop me a note and I'll get right on it~)
  
  
• She's in a bunch of clubs because she craves power and influence. She acts like she runs them all.
  
  
• Academics are... not her strong suit, and she'd rather not try at all. (Please! She has better things to do than study.) She's always on the verge of failing practically all her classes, so her dad constantly has to throw money at Bloom in order for Coralee to stay at Gooseberry. I don't think she even knows where the library is.
  
  
• She takes being a pureblood v v seriously, and thinks Muggle technology is, like, soooo gauche.
  
  
• She owns a white Scottish Fold cat called Empress Wu, and uses her like an accessory. Coralee gets super annoyed at anyone who DARES cuddle Empress Wu ("HDU that is mine >:0") but how can you resist a cat that sits around chilling like it's a human?

CLASSES: Charms, History of Magic, Transfiguration, Defence Against the Dark Arts, Wizard Literature, Divination.
CLUBS: Archery, Choir, Drama, Equestrian, Event Committee, Cheer Squad.


WANTED LINES: Mean girls she can bitch with, people she pays to do her homework for her, people in her clubs who are like OMG CORALEE WHO DIED AND PUT YOU IN CHARGE, cheer buddies, people who think she's really nice (??? hopefully there's at least one character here fooled by her...), pureblood boys whom Coralee's mother thinks are marriage material, and ANYTHING ELSE YOU CAN THINK OF~~~

ETA: I FORGOT TO MENTION but Coralee and Ursula are cousins! Be afraid, Gooseberry. Be very afraid.

I HAVE A HOUSE/YEARMATE HERE YAY! I am not sure what Dom would make of her, though obvs they share a lot of classes and extracurriculars. He's not pureblood but he has money, so she might not be too sniffy about him to his face? Maybe? IDEK dude XD

Tabitha may have come across her before Gooseberry if Coralee attended any of the same kind of fancy pureblood/country club type events. She has brothers, though they're a year younger than Coralee of course.

Will and Joanna won't be on her radar, I think?

I think that's more than likely! Also, you can bet that when Coralee found out about Tabitha/Diego/Anuhea she immediately rushed off to find Tabitha so she could tell her how sorry she was, and gosh she always knew Anuhea was a slut! Is it true they did it in Tabitha's bed?

FIRST, ROSY. Elysian Fields + Port Prep! I bet they DID NOT GET ALONG at PP because Rosy was INTENSELY COMPETITIVE IN ALL THINGS EVER. and also possibly jealous of her perfect hair game bc Rosy just gives up on her hair usually. BUT WHAT DOES THAT MEAN NOW? LET US DISCUSS.

SECOND, RILEY. I...kinda want them to be mean girls frenemies. Riley is so terrible, and she will be passive aggressively sweet and snarky and then they can whisper about other girls behind their hands and then look at them and giggle.

& also sorry Robin will just...be around.

Coralee probably delighted in pointing out whenever Rosy didn't get 100% on her homework. And now... idk, Ursula is Coralee's cousin and Ursula is obvs in Rosy's dorm so maybe Coralee is sliiiightly more circumspect about what she says to/about Rosy?? But I did have this idea that Coralee is going to be all, "Personally, I feel sorry for Rosy" re: Sy being ~unmasked~ as the Killer of Lake Gooseberry. And... I think she's shit stirring rather than being serious. :|

THAT IS PRETTY MUCH CORALEE'S MO so yes, she and Riley can totally bitch and giggle and make everyone else feel paranoid.

So, Reid is her yearmate and in Coppertale, and she'll be able to talk circles around him. Reid's usually passive so she can probably just boss him around and he'll go along with it because it's easier. He's friends with a lot of her old Port Prep people, like Sy, Rosy and Ursula.

Diego is... an idiot. And deeply insecure. And easily fooled by sweet words and a pretty face. He thinks Coralee's super nice and people just misunderstand her. :((( He's also a very wealthy pureblood from a really old family! While Diego's mom(s) aren't into the whole making sure he gets a proper pureblood wife thing, his grandparents probably are. Coralee would probably know Diego's not technically a Morales, he's Allende (Sy and Rosy's family) and Ceron, but the Morales clan was like "That's close enough we need a male heir." His grandparents have paperwork proving he's totally still a pureblood so IT'S FINE.

Calvin! She reminds him of being back home in Slytherin. He'll be SUSPICIOUS but he doesn't want to make waves with someone like Coralee if he doesn't have to.

Aaaaand Rafael, the Coppertale prefect in the year right above her. Rafael is very socially adept and poised, and also wants to be in charge of everything. I imagine they might not get along so hot, but they both seem more inclined to fake smile at one another as they try to get the upper hand?

Ahahaha yesssss I love that at least one person falls for Coralee's super! nice! act. Diego makes her list of "tolerable people" but she still considers him fair game for messing with. ALTHOUGH interestingly, she didn't feel inclined to gossip about him re: the cheating. I think Coralee is definitely one of those girls who goes after other girls. :| Boys are just... collateral damage. OKAY GETTING OFF TOPIC HERE.

Calvin is VERY SENSIBLE and should avoid Coralee at all costs.

I can just picture Coralee smiling until her cheeks hurt and touching Rafael on the arm like she's being friendly when really it's one of those ~power moves~ to show she's the dominant one.

It gets more complicated with Olivia bc they're dorm mates, and in a lot of classes and clubs together (and on cheer squad together), and the exact opposite of each other. I don't think Olivia would outright hate her, but I foresee super hard that they just don't get along.

Yeahhhhh I think you're right. Would Olivia avoid or just not engage with Coralee in order to reduce the tension in their cabin? Or is she the type to fight back? Because I can see Coralee making comments about her piercings, or using the word "butch" a lot, or... idk, BASICALLY SHE'S REALLY MEAN. So if you want the drama of these two being outright enemies, I could roll with that?

Quinn very likely sees through her mean girl bullshit, but won't do or say anything about it unless it's directly affecting (a) a friend, or (b) somebody else in a way that she considers to be a matter for a prefect. They're in in Event Committee and Archery together.

When Mina and Coralee are fighting for EC power, Quinn's probably just sitting there like




until she can't take it anymore and shouts delegations at both of them so everybody can get on with their fucking lives.

i feel like coralee might know of the templeton family in general just thru pureblood circles etc (it was considered SCANDAL by her grandparents that her parents even got married in the first place), so there's that weirdness. they're also in event committee and drama together and i feel like Laurel is half oblivious to coralee's stuff/half OMG WHO DIED AND PUT YOU IN CHARGE? so yes i can see their personalities 1000% clashing in various situations :u which will be fun. is empress wu also a bully to other cats, btw?

WOW I LOVE CORALEE SO MUCH ALREADY.

UMMM. Maggie has plenty of shit that can be spread about her and that probably makes her super wary of Cora because she has a ~reputation~ to maintain as a Head Girl. She'll try to make nice with her to avoid conflict unless Cora has done anything blatantly damaging to anyone (and Maggie's aware of it) OR if she has serious beef with any of her closest friends (Cricket, Nate, Anuhea, Calvin). Maggie's not easily manipulated though so rumors can't be used against her to get her to do anything, but that would be an easy switch-flip into Powertrip Mode where she wields her badge like a weapon.

Levi idfk is best bitches with Riley and they can get pretty catty and gossipy together, so if Riley is frienemies with Cora then Levi's going to be a-okay with her. Heeee has a hard time taking things seriously and he actually likes Sy even after he was revealed to be the LGK, so he probably thinks some of her rumors are funny and would take delight in hearing the ones about himself. At the start of the school year, there was a rumor that he was the Typhoid Mary when everyone got sick after the kissing game (and it mostly linked back to him) and he looooved it because ATTENTION.
